The Depths Unraveling Threads

The Oracle's words continue striking Vardy thought as he and his companions begin their journey from the mountain. The cold, thin air had stung their limbs, but the weight of the Oracle's prophecy hung heavily on their hearts. He had expected guidance, a path to follow, what he had received was a riddle, a cryptic warning that left more questions than answers.

Ferah, ever monitoring, noticed Vardy's troubled expression as they walked. "You're still thinking about what she said, aren't you?" she asked, her voice low and steady.

Vardy glanced at her, then nodded. "She's right. It's all tied together. The darkness... it's not just some evil force. It's alive. It grows. And it has a price. But what does that mean? What exactly is the cost?"

Luthor, who had been walking ahead, turned to face them, his eyes seen in thought. "The Oracle speaks in riddles. The truth isn't always easy to see, especially when it's buried in layers of metaphors, unknown words and heart pounding question."

"True," Vardy said, his mind still racing. "But we need to understand. We have to. I've never felt something like this before. It's like... like the very fabric of reality is unraveling, showing it Worth to me, but I can't see it."

Ferah's eyes softened. "We'll figure it out. We always do. But for now, we need to focus on finding those others the Oracle spoke of. We need allies, people who are tied to this darkness, people who have already seen it before us, people who are ready to. Fight for this unimaginable."

Vardy didn't respond immediately, instead turning his gaze toward the horizon. The land stretched before them in a vast expanse, the setting sun casting long shadows over the desolate mountain. The journey ahead was unknown, but one thing was certain, they would not be able to face the coming storm alone, not by themselves, they can't just do it alone, Vardy signalled.

Days turned into weeks as they traveled deeper into uncharted lands. They crossed rivers, ventured into forgotten cities, scaled mountains, each step bringing them closer to the unknown, to a place they never imagined to ever be. The further they moved, the more Vardy felt the pull of the darkness, a subtle presence lurking just beneath the surface of reality.

The whispers grew louder in his mind, faint at first, but now unmistakable. It's too late to stop it, the voices would murmur like a wind in his ear drum, it's too late to save them all.

Ferah and Luthor noticed his increasingly distracted behavior but said nothing, knowing the weight he carried was heavy enough without added pressure. However, it was clear to them that something was shifting in Vardy, his once unwavering confidence now mingled with a growing sense of doubt and tension unknown to him.

On the evening of the fourth week, as the group set up camp in a hollowed, out ruin of a cold desert, Vardy felt a sudden chill creep down his spine. The air was thick with an unnatural stillness, and he could feel the hairs on the back of his neck stand on end.

"What is it?" Ferah asked, her hand on the hilt of her sword, sensing his tension.

Vardy glanced around, his instincts screaming that something was wrong. "I don't know, but we're being watched. I know we being watched"

Luthor stood up from the fire, his hand moving instinctively toward the dagger at his belt. "We should move. There's no reason to tempt fate."

But as they gathered their things, a figure stepped out from the shadows, so suddenly and silently that it sent a jolt of shock through Vardy's chest. The figure was tall, cloaked in flowing black robes that seemed to absorb the dim light of the fire. The face was hidden beneath a hood, but the presence was undeniable.

"Vardy," a voice like soft velvet rang out, sending a shiver through the air. "It's been a long time."

Vardy froze, his heart pounding in his chest. He recognized the voice instantly. "Aziel."

The figure removed his hood, revealing the face of a man whose features were both familiar and foreign. Aziel's eyes glowed with an eerie silver light, his expression unreadable. He was a man who had once been Vardy's ally, a trusted companion who had vanished years ago under mysterious circumstances.

"What are you doing here?" Vardy demanded, his voice sharp with a mixture of anger and confusion. "Where have you been?"

Aziel's lips curled into a small, enigmatic smile. "I've been watching. Waiting. The darkness grows, Vardy. And you're not the only one who feels it." His eyes flicked to the others, sizing them up. "You've gathered quite the group. How charming."

Ferah took a step forward, hand still on her weapon. "Who are you really, Aziel? What do you want?"

Aziel's gaze flicked to Ferah, a momentary flash of amusement passing across his face. "Ah, the ever-watchful Ferah. Always so eager to fight." His smile faded as he turned back to Vardy. "I'm here because I've seen the threads. The future... it's not as you think. You're headed toward destruction, whether you realize it or not. And I'm here to make sure you don't get in the way."

Vardy's grip tightened on his staff, his pulse quickening. "You've been working with the darkness, haven't you? You're part of this. You know what's coming, am I right Aziel."

Aziel's smile faded completely, his eyes darkening. "I don't work with the darkness, Vardy. I'm of it. Just like you, we are just in this same situation together."

The words hit Vardy like a blow to the chest. "What are you talking about? I'm nothing like you."

Aziel shifted his head, studying him with an intensity that sent a chill through Vardy's bones. "You don't understand yet, do you? The darkness flows through you. It's always been there, in the blood you carry, in the magic you wield. You can't escape it, no matter how hard you try. It will claim you. And when it does, you'll be just like me,just like us."

The air between them thickened, the silence oppressive. The weight of Aziel's words sank into Vardy's mind like a stone, and for the first time in a long while, doubt crept in.

"I came to offer you a choice," Aziel continued, his voice growing colder. "Join us, Vardy. Join the true power of the world. Or face your inevitable fall into doom."

Vardy's heart pounded in his chest. The darkness was not something to be destroyed,it was something to be embraced. And Aziel, once a friend, now a vessel of that truth, was offering him a choice he couldn't refuse. But the question remained, could he ever truly accept it? Would he accept it?

As the tension in the air grew thick, Vardy could feel the very earth beneath his feet tremble,a sign that the storm was already on the horizon, and it was closing in fast.

Just as he never imagined, things He felt he would not over take him, he looked at his both friends who are now his company, Luthor and ferah..

He signed and hope he could get an answer from them, but still staring at Aziel,

What can he do, how has the ordinary him become a man in all situations…he spoke to himself while standing.
