Zhou Yinuo wasn't sure if she believed that.

She knew people like Liora. People who laughed off pain, who buried fear beneath their arrogance, who acted as if nothing in the world could touch them.

And she knew that deep down, those were often the people who carried the heaviest burdens.

But if Liora wanted to pretend she wasn't shaken, then Zhou Yinuo would let her be.

Zhou Yinuo smirked. "Well, since you're alive and all, I guess that means you owe me food. I did almost die, you know."

Liora scoffed. "Are you serious? I saved you, and you want me to feed you? Shouldn't it be you who feeds me?"

"I have very simple needs," Zhou Yinuo said while shrugging. "Survival, warmth, and a full stomach."

"That was my line. You stole it," Liora said with a heartbroken expression.
