Ch 263 : Battle of the Dragon Slayers 3

"The power of a dragon is indeed overwhelmingly strong," Natsu said calmly as he watched Sting being blasted away.

"But your Dragon Force is far from mature."

"Nonsense! My power is complete! I used this very power to kill a dragon!!"

Hearing Natsu's words, Sting, still suspended in midair, seemed suddenly provoked.

He opened his mouth, gathering an immense surge of energy within it.

"Holy Breath of the White Dragon!!"

A massive white beam shot downward, engulfing nearly the entire arena.

The overwhelming energy collided with the ground, its sheer force shattering the arena's surface.

Even Gajeel, who had been standing to the side, was caught in the blast.

Dust, rubble, and debris tumbled into the newly created crater in the center of the arena.

"Damn it, Salamander! Didn't you say you'd handle this?!" Gajeel shouted as he fell into the pit, frustrated.

"Tch, how was I supposed to know there was nothing under us?" Natsu grumbled.

With a swift midair flip, he landed firmly on the ground below, and Gajeel did the same.

Seeing that both Natsu and Gajeel had fallen into the pit, Sting and Rogue wasted no time—they leaped down after them, immediately charging toward their opponents upon landing.

As Gajeel moved to step in, Natsu raised a hand to stop him, his face lighting up with excitement.

Even in Dragon Force mode, despite their significant power boost, Sting and Rogue were still utterly outmatched against Natsu.

Speed, strength, magic power—Natsu completely dominated them in every way.

Even when they tried to coordinate their attacks, they couldn't bridge the massive gap between their abilities.

While everyone's attention was focused on Natsu's battle against the Twin Dragons, no one noticed a cloaked figure standing at the edge of the Flau audience seating.

The man, completely shrouded in his cloak, gazed at the ongoing fight for a moment before letting out a quiet sigh.

Then, he slowly turned and walked away.

Inside the arena, Jellal suddenly tensed, as if an electric current had just surged through his body.

His head snapped toward the edge of the stadium.

"This presence... Is it really him?!"

From a distant part of the Flau stands, Ultear furrowed her brows in confusion.

"Such strange dark magic... It feels like something else is mixed in."

"He's still inside the arena," Meredy said softly.

Ultear nodded, then immediately sent a telepathic message to Jellal inside the stadium.

"Jellal, this time, don't let him get away."

"I know." Jellal responded, before rushing off toward the direction of the presence he had sensed.

(The match is important, but right now... this takes priority.)

.............

"It's not over yet!!"

The heavily wounded Sting once again forced himself to stand.

Beside him, Rogue, also covered in injuries, struggled to his feet.

The two of them gritted their teeth as they stared at Natsu, who stood confidently in the distance, completely at ease.

"For Lector... I absolutely cannot lose." Sting muttered under his breath.

He and Rogue exchanged glances, and in each other's eyes, they saw the same unwavering determination.

"Sting!"

"Yeah!!"

Both Sting and Rogue clenched their fists and pulled them back.

The holy power of the White Dragon and the shadow energy of the Shadow Dragon surged violently from their bodies.

Despite being completely opposite in nature, the two forces somehow achieved a bizarre state of balance.

And within that balance, an overwhelming, suffocating pressure began to spread.

"A fusion magic?!" Master Makarov exclaimed in shock from the stands.

"Dragon Slayer Secret Art..."

Sting and Rogue thrust their fists forward in unison, their combined power exploding outward like a devastating shockwave.

The titanic energy surged forward, roaring like an unstoppable tsunami, seemingly capable of swallowing everything in its path.

The sheer intensity of the magic caused space itself to tremble, and the very air around them seemed to be sucked away.

"HOLY SHADOW DRAGON'S FLASH FANG!!!"

The terrifying surge of power rushed toward Natsu, an overwhelming shockwave that seemed capable of engulfing everything in its path.

Before such an immense force, Natsu's figure appeared tiny, like a lone leaf boat caught in a raging storm, seemingly fragile and on the verge of collapse.

Yet, even so, he did not show the slightest intention of dodging.

Instead, he took a single step forward, and in that instant, crimson flames erupted around him like a raging storm, completely engulfing his body.

At the same time, a strange and terrifying power began to awaken from within him.

(There are some walls in this world that cannot be broken with strength alone... )

Watching the battle unfold through the lacrima vision, the usually calm Jura sat in uncharacteristic silence at the edge of the spectator stands.

He murmured in a voice so soft only he could hear:

(But if there truly exists a force capable of shattering those walls, then it is the power of conviction... and the guild is the very place where conviction is nurtured...)

"Dragon Slayer Secret Art..."

Natsu's voice became low and steady, his tone carrying a profound intensity.

The colossal crimson flames surged to their peak, twisting and wrapping around his arms like twin blazing wings.

With a mighty leap, Natsu shot forward, his entire body spinning like a hurricane, the overwhelming firepower radiating pure, unstoppable force.

He collided head-on with the combined assault of Sting and Rogue, their titanic magic clashing in a violent explosion.

"CRIMSON LOTUS: EXPLODING FLAME BLADE!!!"

A deafening explosion echoed throughout Flau, shaking the entire Grand Magic Games arena.

The violent tremors caused by the blast rumbled through the coliseum, making the very structure tremble.

The impact lasted for half a minute before finally subsiding.

As soon as the shaking stopped, the audience immediately turned their eyes toward the lacrima vision, eager to see the battlefield.

But all they could see was a thick cloud of smoke, obscuring the aftermath of the clash.

As the smoke gradually cleared, the figures of Sabertooth's Twin Dragons were finally revealed.

"Natsu... Dragneel..."

Covered in wounds, Rogue, who had barely remained standing, slowly collapsed toward the ground.

"His strength... is unfathomable."

"Lector…"

Sting, staggering forward, whispered softly as he began to fall.

"Natsu-san... is simply too strong."

"T-This... Th-Th-This is...!!"

Seeing Sting and Rogue lying on the ground, completely unable to get back up, Chapati was so shocked that even his words became stuttered and broken.

"THE WINNER IS—FAIRY TAIL!!!"

"With this victory, the point gap has widened once again! Fairy Tail stands firmly at the top of the rankings!"

"And with that, the fourth day of the Grand Magic Games comes to a close!"

"After a one-day break, the final match will be held the day after tomorrow!"

"On the last day, it will be an all-out survival battle! Which guild will claim ultimate victory!? Let us wait and see!!"

A thunderous roar of cheers and applause erupted through the entire coliseum, reaching its absolute peak.

Every single spectator rose to their feet, pouring their admiration and excitement into their applause, honoring this breathtaking battle.

Standing amidst the ruins of the battlefield, Natsu let out a small breath and flashed a wide grin.

"Let's battle again next time."

"A complete defeat..."

Still lying on the ground, Rogue gazed at Natsu's retreating figure, his voice low and filled with realization.

"If Gajeel possesses the same level of strength as Natsu… then just how foolishly overconfident was I?"

"How blind was I to my own limits…?"

..............

Meanwhile, on the other side, Gajeel was aimlessly wandering through the underground passages beneath the Grand Magic Games arena.

"I was just killing time by walking around, but it feels like I've been walking forever. Should I head back?"

Stopping in place, Gajeel crossed his arms, looking around at the complex surroundings with a frustrated expression.

Earlier, during the fight, Gajeel had agreed to let Natsu handle the battle alone.

After watching Natsu completely dominate the Twin Dragons of Sabertooth, Gajeel had quickly grown bored.

With nothing else to do, he started exploring the underground structures beneath the arena.

That was when he stumbled upon a mysterious passage leading to an unknown place.

Curious, Gajeel naturally followed the path.

However, after walking for quite some time without finding anything worthwhile, he finally decided to turn back.

"Ahh, I regret letting that fire-breathing idiot handle things alone. This is so damn boring."

Sighing, Gajeel turned a corner.

And then, his steps suddenly halted.

His usually expressionless face was now filled with shock and horror.

Because right before his eyes lay a scene that was nothing short of breathtakingly terrifying.

A mountain of bones, an overwhelmingly eerie atmosphere—if none of that was disturbing enough, then the fact that these massive skeletal remains belonged to the most powerful creatures in the world—the dragons—certainly was.

"This… what the hell… a graveyard?!!"
