"Only I can summon those!"
Chapter 4 Guns vs swords ! Part 2
The explosive arrow detonated upon impact, sending debris flying and creating a cloud of dust and smoke. I could see the shock on the faces of the remaining bandits as they realized they were outmatched. The chaos of the battlefield was now in our favor, and I felt a surge of adrenaline as I prepared for the next shot.
"Keep it up, team!" I shouted, my voice ringing with determination. "We can take them down!"
Vismond nodded, his eyes sharp as he darted between the remaining bandits, using his stealth to strike from the shadows. I could see him taking down another bandit with a swift, precise movement, and I felt a swell of pride for my friend. We were working together seamlessly, each of us playing our part in this chaotic dance of battle.
As I reloaded my crossbow, I glanced over at Cain and Chris, who were engaged in a fierce struggle with the bandit leader. The level 15 bandit was a formidable opponent, his movements fluid and powerful as he parried their attacks. I could see the determination in their eyes, but I knew they needed backup.
"Vismond, cover me!" I called out, my heart racing as I sprinted toward the fray. I had to help my friends take down the leader before he could regroup and retaliate.
"On it!" Vismond replied, slipping into the shadows to flank the bandit leader from behind.
I took aim with my crossbow, focusing on the bandit leader as he swung his sword at Cain. The moment was tense, and I could feel the weight of the situation pressing down on me. I steadied my breath, my finger hovering over the trigger.
"Now!" I shouted, releasing the arrow just as Vismond struck from behind. The gas arrow flew true, hitting the bandit leader squarely in the back. He staggered, coughing as the gas enveloped him, and I seized the opportunity.
"Finish him!" I yelled, my voice filled with urgency.
Cain and Chris pressed their advantage, launching a coordinated attack against the disoriented bandit leader. With Vismond's stealthy strike and my gas arrow, they were able to land a series of blows that finally brought him to his knees. But the bandit leader doesn't know when to quit, grabs both of them, throws them away, and kicks Vismond in his stomach and brings him to his knees.
The sight of Vismond crumpling to the ground sent a jolt of panic through me. The bandit leader, now enraged and fueled by the gas, was a force to be reckoned with. I could see the determination in Cain and Chris's eyes as they regrouped, but the leader was still standing, and he was not going down without a fight.
"Vismond!" I shouted, my heart racing. I quickly reloaded my crossbow, my mind racing with options. I had to act fast. The bandit leader was strong, but he was also vulnerable now that he was disoriented.
"Ohh… what we have here…( his eyes glow looks like he use his appraisal skill) hahahaha a weak summoner. Let me give you an advice kid. Go home and mybe you'll able to live to tell the tale." He said while mockingly laugh at me.
"Huh, am I a joke to you, big-ass gorilla?" I replied as I readied my next arrow, but now it's was a flash arrow.
The bandit leader's laughter echoed in the night, but I could feel the fire of determination igniting within me. I wasn't about to let his taunts get to me. I had come too far and fought too hard to back down now.
"You have gut, kid. What's your name? Tell me," he asks.
"Huh, why should I talk to a talking gorilla like you?" I sneered.
"Well, here in our country we have a custom: if you challenge someone, you need to give your name for honor and respect," he explained.
"Heh, honor and respect? You, a low-ass bandit, have it? Don't make me laugh," I replied.
The bandit leader's expression shifted from amusement to irritation, his eyes narrowing as he took a step closer. "I think you don't understand the situation here, midget (and now my brow is rising because of annoyance because he called me midget). You think you're clever, don't you? But you're just a weak summoner who wants to play hero. I'll show you what real power looks like."
I could feel the tension in the air as the bandit leader's words hung between us. His bravado was palpable, but I refused to let it intimidate me. I had come too far to back down now.
"Real power?" I shot back, my voice steady despite the adrenaline coursing through my veins. "You think throwing around insults makes you powerful?"
"Hahaha, ok, I'll play with you, little man. I'll go first: my name is Kaliskto of the Kariga gang. Prepare yourself; this is your—" I cut him off and say,Yeah, yeah, yadayadayada. Why do all of you bad guys have a long-ass monologue? "
"Just get on with it!" I interrupted, my patience wearing thin. The bandit leader's bravado was infuriating, and I could feel the adrenaline surging through me, urging me to act.
Kaliskto's eyes widened in surprise at my audacity, but then a smirk crept across his face. "You've got guts, I'll give you that. But guts alone won't save you from me."
"Maybe not," I replied, my voice steady. "But I have something you don't: the element of surprise." With that, I quickly loaded the flash arrow into my crossbow, aiming it directly at him.
"Flash Arrow!" I shouted, releasing the arrow with precision. The arrow flew through the air, bursting into a blinding light upon impact. Kaliskto staggered back, momentarily blinded by the flash.
"Now, Vismond!" I yelled, hoping my friend was ready to capitalize on the distraction.
Vismond, who had been recovering from the bandit leader's earlier attack, sprang into action. He darted forward, using the shadows to his advantage as he struck at Kaliskto with a swift, precise blow. The bandit leader, still reeling from the flash, barely had time to react.
"Get him!" I shouted, my heart racing as I reloaded my crossbow with another gas arrow. I aimed carefully, knowing that this was our chance to take him down.
As Vismond engaged Kaliskto, Cain and Chris joined the fray, launching their own attacks. The bandit leader was now surrounded, and I could see the panic beginning to set in on his face.
As I turned my head, I saw the remaining bandit members and opened my summon shop and brought out a basic rifle and took aim at them.
"Finish him! I can handle these guys," I shouted.
With a steady hand, I aimed the basic rifle at the remaining bandits, my heart pounding in my chest. The chaos of the battle swirled around me, but I focused on my target, determined to eliminate the threat before they could regroup.
"Take this!" I shouted, pulling the trigger. The rifle roared to life, the bullet flying through the air with deadly precision. It struck one of the bandits squarely in the chest, sending him sprawling to the ground.

The bandit charged at me, his sword raised high, but I was ready. I quickly stepped back, my heart racing as I unequipped my rifle and summoned my Remington shotgun. The familiar weight of the weapon felt reassuring in my hands, and I aimed it squarely at the charging bandit's chest.
"Not today!"I shouted, pulling the trigger.
The shotgun roared to life, the blast echoing through the night as the shot hit the bandit squarely in the chest. He stumbled back, his eyes wide with shock, before collapsing to the ground in a heap.

And as I turned my head, another bandit lunged at me, but I quickly rolled on the ground and took aim at his back.
With a steady hand, I pulled the trigger of my shotgun once more, the blast ringing out in the night as the bandit fell to the ground, lifeless. The adrenaline coursed through my veins, and I could feel the thrill of battle surging within me.

I quickly scanned the battlefield, my heart racing as I took in the chaos around me. Vismond was still engaged with Kaliskto, dodging the bandit leader's powerful strikes while landing quick, precise blows of his own. Cain, Chris, and Vismond were behind while Josh was parrying; all his attacks were working together, their attacks coordinated as they pressed the advantage against the remaining bandits.
I quickly reload my Remington shotgun and quickly change into my crossbow and equip another.
You have unlocked a basic tick grenade and thrown it. The tension in the air was palpable as I prepared to throw the basic stick grenade. I could see the remaining bandits regrouping, their expressions shifting from confusion to determination as they realized they were losing ground. I had to act fast to maintain our advantage.
"Cover your ears!" I shouted to my friends, my heart racing as I pulled the pin from the grenade and hurled it toward the cluster of bandits. The grenade sailed through the air, landing right in the middle of their formation.
The explosion was deafening, a burst of sound and light that sent the bandits reeling. I could see them stumbling back, disoriented and panicked as the smoke and debris filled the air. It was the perfect opportunity for us to strike.

As the dust settled from the explosion, I felt a rush of exhilaration. The battlefield was chaotic, but we had the upper hand. I quickly glanced at my friends, who were all focused and ready to finish the fight.
"Let's wrap this up!" I shouted, my voice ringing with determination. The remaining bandits were disoriented, and I could see the fear creeping into their eyes. They were realizing that they were outmatched.
Vismond took advantage of the confusion, darting in and out of the shadows to strike at Kaliskto. The bandit leader was still recovering from the flash arrow, and I could see the panic in his eyes as he struggled to regain control of the situation.
"Now, Vismond!" I called out, readying my crossbow once more to the remaining small fray bandits. Josh aimed at Kaliskto, who was now vulnerable. "Let's finish this!" He shouted and unleashed his divine judgment at him.
The air crackled with tension as Josh unleashed his elemental attack, a brilliant burst of energy that surged toward Kaliskto. The bandit leader, still reeling from the effects of the flash arrow and Vismond's relentless strikes, barely had time to react. The blast hit him squarely in the chest, sending him staggering back, his eyes wide with shock.
As I took down the remaining two bandits, my teammates were now ready to finish Kaliskto.

With the remaining bandits dispatched, I turned my full attention to Kaliskto, who was now visibly shaken. The once-confident bandit leader was struggling to regain his composure, his breath coming in ragged gasps as he faced the combined might of our team.
"You're outnumbered, Kaliskto," I said, my voice steady as I aimed the rifle at his head. "Surrender now, and maybe we can come to an understanding."
Kaliskto's eyes darted around, searching for an escape route, but he quickly realized there was none. The fire from Josh's elemental attack still flickered in the background, casting an ominous glow over the scene. He was cornered, and he knew it.
"You think you can intimidate me with that little toy? I'll admit you're no ordinary summoner like the flies I usually saw and killed, but that toy of yours is nothing to me," he sneered, trying to regain some semblance of bravado. "I've faced worse than you lot."
"Is this guy drunk or something? Didn't he see what my guns can do?" I ask myself. "Well, maybe you'd face many foes, then us, but we aren't ordinary foes; we're the strongest! My finger hovers over the trigger. "But you won't be facing anyone else if you don't surrender. We know you're looking for something—a magical artifact. Tell us what you know, and we might let you walk away."
Kaliskto hesitated, his expression shifting from defiance to contemplation. "You think I'll just spill my secrets to a bunch of wannabe heroes? You're dumber than you look."
I narrowed my eyes, feeling the tension in the air. "You can either tell us what we want to know, or we can make this very uncomfortable for you. Your choice."
Kaliskto's bravado faltered slightly, and I could see the gears turning in his mind. He was weighing his options, and I knew we had to keep the pressure on. "You're outnumbered, and your gang is falling apart. You can either cooperate or face the consequences."
"Fine," he spat, his voice dripping with disdain. "What do you want to know?"
I exchanged glances with my teammates, and we all knew the answer. "What artifact are you searching for? And why are you invading this small village, and who's behind it?"
"Heh, one of the high-rank nobles," replied
Kaliskto, his voice laced with bitterness. "They're the ones who sent us to find the artifact. It's said to be a powerful relic that can amplify the abilities of whoever possesses it. If we get our hands on it, they will surrender it to one of the demon lord's officials so they will grant them and us (the bandits) a safe passage; they won't attack us, and if we take control of Vuena Village for ourselves, they'll give the control to us."
The revelation sent a chill down my spine. A powerful relic that could amplify abilities? And it was tied to the demon lord's army? This was far more serious than I had anticipated.
"Where is this artifact located?" I pressed, my voice steady despite the gravity of the situation.
Kaliskto smirked, clearly enjoying the power he held in this moment. "You think I'd just give that information away? You'll have to make me." I raised my brow and took aim at his leg and fired.
The shot rang out, echoing through the night as the bullet struck Kaliskto's leg. He let out a howl of pain, collapsing to the ground as he clutched his wound. The bravado that had once filled his demeanor was replaced by shock and fear.
"Damn it, but how can you pierce my body? I'm 5 times stronger than you," he spat.
"Well, I level up, and also my guns too, so that's why," I casually reply.
Kaliskto's expression shifted from pain to a mix of anger and disbelief. "You think you can just shoot me and get away with it? You're making a big mistake, kid!"
I stepped closer, my rifle still aimed at him. "The only mistake here is underestimating us. Now, are you going to tell us where the artifact is, or do I need to make this even more uncomfortable for you?"
He glared at me, his pride clearly wounded. "You think you can intimidate me? I've faced worse than you. But fine, if you want to know, it's hidden in the ruins near Vuena Village. But you'll never get to it before we do!"
"Ruins near Vuena Village," I repeated, committing the information to memory. "And what's stopping us from getting there first?"
Kaliskto grimaced, clearly realizing he had given away too much. "You think you can just waltz in and take it? The demon lord's forces are already on their way. You're too late!"
I exchanged glances with my teammates, the weight of his words sinking in. "We need to move fast," I said, my voice steady. "If what he says is true, we can't waste any more time."
"Let's finish this," Cain said, stepping forward. "We can't let him go back to his gang. He'll just warn them."
I nodded, feeling the adrenaline surge through me once more. "You're right. Kaliskto, you're coming with us. We'll make sure you don't cause any more trouble," I said as I took out one basic medkit to patch his wounds.
Kaliskto's eyes widened when I took out the medkit. "You're a summoner, right? He asked.
"Yeah, don't play dumb that you never knew it; I saw you use your appraisal skill on me, I replied.
"Are you guys the real heroes?" he asked.
"Well, duh, yes, we are. Isn't that obvious? Josh chimed in.
"My god, if you're here, it's true that they're summoning the demon God! he said with a horrified look.
I felt a chill run down my spine at his words. "What do you mean by that?" I asked, my voice steady despite the unease creeping in.
Kaliskto grimaced, clearly in pain but unwilling to back down. "The demon lord is gathering powerful artifacts to summon a being of unimaginable power. If he succeeds, it won't just be Vuena Village in danger; the entire kingdom will fall. Please, sir Hero! Save us! Don't let them summon that being; you're the only hero among you who can stop that. Please, I beg of you, save me and my family."
The weight of his words hung in the air, and I could see the concern mirrored in my friends' expressions. This was no longer just a simple mission to protect a village; we were now entangled in a much larger conflict.
I took a deep breath, trying to process the gravity of Kaliskto's revelation. The stakes had just risen dramatically, and I could feel the weight of responsibility settling on my shoulders. "We will stop the demon lord," I said firmly, my voice steady. "But first, we need to secure the village and ensure that the artifact doesn't fall into the wrong hands."
Kaliskto nodded, his expression shifting from defiance to a mix of fear and desperation. "You have to hurry. If the demon lord's forces reach the ruins first, it will be too late. They'll use the artifact to summon that being, and no one will be able to stop it."
"Then we need to move now," Cain said, his voice filled with urgency. "We can't waste any more time."
"Vismond, we need one of us to go back and tell the emperor what we discovered here. and grab some reinforcements because we need to fortify the village," Cain ordered.
Vismond nodded, his expression serious. "I can go. I'll make sure the emperor knows what's at stake and that we need help immediately."
"Good," Cain replied, his voice steady. "The rest of us will head to the ruins and try to intercept the demon lord's forces. We can't let them get their hands on that artifact."
I felt a surge of determination as I prepared for the next phase of our mission. "Kaliskto, you're coming with us. You may have been our enemy, but right now, you're our only source of information about the demon lord's plans."
Kaliskto grimaced but nodded, clearly realizing he had no choice. "Fine. Just don't expect me to fight alongside you. I'm not a hero like you."

"Ahmm...sir heroes pls here me out! I Wanna accompany you" kaliskto ask
"Yeah you already are"josh answer
"No sir, I want to join your ranks to fight the demon lord's army pls let me."kaliskto ask while bowing while glance to each other and nodded.
"Ok Just stay out of our way, and we'll get along just fine," Cain replied my voice firm. "Now, let's move!"
As we gathered our gear and prepared to leave, I couldn't shake the feeling of urgency that hung in the air. The fate of Vuena Village—and perhaps the entire kingdom—rested on our shoulders. We had to act quickly.
Vismond slipped into the shadows, ready to make his way back to the castle. "I'll be as fast as I can," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "Stay safe, and don't do anything reckless."
With that, he disappeared into the night, leaving the rest of us to face the impending threat. I turned to my friends, feeling a mix of excitement and anxiety. "Alright, team. We need to move quickly and quietly. The last thing we want is to alert the demon lord's forces."
Josh nodded, his expression serious. "I can use my elemental skills to create distractions if we need to. Just give me the signal."
"Perfect," Cain replied. "Let's stick together and keep our eyes peeled for any signs of the enemy."
As we made our way through the forest, the tension in the air was palpable. The moon hung high above us, casting an eerie glow over the path ahead. I could feel the adrenaline coursing through my veins, and I knew that we were on the brink of something monumental.
After what felt like an eternity, we finally reached the outskirts of the ruins. The ancient stone structures loomed before us, their crumbling walls a testament to the passage of time. I could see flickering torches in the distance, and the sounds of voices carried through the air.
"Looks like we're not too late," I whispered, my heart racing. "We need to find a way to get closer without being seen."
Kaliskto, who had been silent until now, spoke up. "There's a hidden path that leads around the back of the ruins. If we take that route, we might be able to get the drop on them."
As we enter the village, their chief (head of the village) welcomes us, and we don't beat around the bush and tell him the situation.
The chief of Vuena Village, a stout man with a weathered face and a determined glint in his eyes, listened intently as we relayed the information about the demon lord's forces and the artifact they sought. The flickering torchlight cast shadows across his features, highlighting the concern etched into his brow.
"You say the demon lord's army is coming for the artifact?" he asked, his voice steady but laced with urgency. "We cannot allow that to happen. The artifact is said to hold immense power, and if it falls into the wrong hands, it could spell doom for our village a
nd the entire kingdom."
"Yeah so we don't have any choice but to retrieve it." Cain reply
The chief nodded, his expression grave. "We must prepare our defenses and gather what allies we can. But we also need to act quickly. If the demon lord's forces are as close as you say, we may not have much time."
I felt a surge of determination. "We can help with that. We've already faced the bandits, and we're ready to take on whatever comes next. But we need to know more about the artifact. What can you tell us?"
The chief took a deep breath, his gaze shifting to the ancient ruins in the distance. "The artifact is known as the Heart of the Ancients. It is said to amplify the abilities of its wielder, granting them unimaginable power. It was hidden away long ago to prevent it from falling into the wrong hands. If the demon lord's forces find it, they will use it to summon a being of great destruction."
