Chapter 13: angry system

When a Filipino got Isekai'd with a twist!

"Only I can summon those!"

Chapter 13: angry system

As we stepped into the grand hall of the castle, the atmosphere shifted once more. The air was thick with anticipation, and the soft glow of enchanted lights illuminated the intricate tapestries that adorned the walls. Each tapestry depicted scenes of elven lore, showcasing their rich history and connection to nature.

Lyra walked with grace, her head held high, and I followed closely beside her, feeling a mix of awe and nervousness. The hall was filled with nobles and dignitaries, all of whom turned to face us as we entered. Their expressions ranged from relief to admiration, and I could sense the weight of their expectations resting on Lyra's shoulders.

"Your Highness!" A voice called out from the crowd. It was an older elf, his silver hair cascading down his shoulders like a waterfall. He stepped forward, his eyes filled with concern and joy. "We feared the worst for you. Where have you been?"

"I've been on a journey, Grandfather," Lyra replied, her voice steady despite the emotions swirling around us. "I encountered many challenges, but I am safe now, thanks to my friend Sir Keith, and he's one of the 5 Summon Heroes."

As the older elf's eyes landed on me, a hint of curiosity and respect flickered across his face. "One of the 5 Summon Heroes, you say? I am Elric, the King of the Elven Kingdom. It is an honor to meet you, Sir Keith."

I bowed my head in respect, feeling a sense of pride and responsibility wash over me. "The honor is mine, Your Majesty. I am glad to have been able to help Princess Lyra return home safely."

Elric's gaze lingered on me for a moment before he turned to Lyra. "We will hear more about your journey later, my dear. For now, let us celebrate your return. We have much to discuss and catch up on. By the way, where are your escorts?" As he asked that, I remembered them miles away as we left them riding their horses. (Oops, this is embarrassing.)

"Ah, sir, may I..." As I raised my hand, he gestured for me to continue."ahm… about that, I think that's my fault. Ah... you can see, sir, I am a summoner. As I said that, one of the nobles burst into laughter because I was a summoner. And I just raised my eyebrows and continued. "Maybe it's better to show you this, sir." As I gestured my hand to my left, I summoned my motorcycle again, and all of their eyes widened in shock and amazement.

The motorcycle materialized with a soft hum, its chrome finish gleaming under the enchanted lights of the grand hall. The room fell silent, all eyes fixed on the machine that had just appeared as if by magic. I could feel the weight of their astonishment, and I couldn't help but smile at the spectacle. ("Am I awesome!" I think to myself.)

"By the stars!" One of the courtiers gasped, stepping forward to inspect the motorcycle. "Is this truly a creation of your summoning abilities?"

"Yes, sir! It is," I replied, feeling a mix of pride and nervousness. "I can summon various vehicles and weapons, and this motorcycle is one of my latest achievements. And is fast! Faster than the fastest horse."

Elric, the king, stepped closer, his expression a blend of curiosity and skepticism. "A remarkable feat, indeed. But tell me, young summoner, what purpose does this machine serve in our kingdom?"

"Well, sir—" As I'm about to explain about the motorcycle, Princess Lyra chimes in enthusiastically to explain to her grandfather.

"It can run fast, Grandpa! It is so fast even at full speed a horse can't even keep up!" She said, eyes sparkling.

Elric raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued by his granddaughter's excitement. "Is that so? A machine that can outrun our finest steeds? It makes sense if your escorts were left behind. Fascinating. But tell me, Keith, how does it work? What powers it?"

I took a deep breath, feeling the weight of the king's gaze upon me. "Well, Your Majesty, this motorcycle runs on fuel, a substance that allows it to move without the need for magic or animals. It's a mechanical creation, designed for speed and efficiency. I can summon it at will, which makes it incredibly useful for traveling long distances quickly. And I'm proud to say it's from my world. And all of my summons"

I paused, gauging the reactions of the gathered elves. Their expressions ranged from awe to skepticism, but I could see the curiosity in their eyes. "In my world, we have many such machines, each designed for different purposes. This motorcycle is just one example of what I can summon."

Elric nodded slowly, his expression thoughtful. "It is indeed a remarkable creation, Keith. But tell me, what do you seek in our kingdom? What brings you here beyond the return of my granddaughter?"

"Well, sir, I—" As I'm about to say something, Lyra chimes in again. As I just open and close my mouth again.

"Granfa! Don't you forget the demons in the southern part of the forest?! And we need the heroes to defeat the high-ranking demon there that is threatening us!" She said.

The atmosphere in the grand hall shifted as Lyra's words hung in the air, a palpable tension settling over the gathered elves. I could see the concern etched on their faces, and I felt a sense of urgency rise within me. This was more than just a homecoming; it was a call to action.

Elric's expression darkened, and he nodded gravely. "Yes, the reports of demonic activity in the southern forest have reached us. We have been on high alert, but our forces are stretched thin. If what you say is true, then we may need the assistance of the Summon Heroes more than ever, but are you sure you can do it alone? Sir hero?."

"Uhm… to be honest, your majesty, at first, but now that I received my rewards from my system, I think I can manage until my party arrives," I confidently say.

Elric studied me for a moment, his gaze piercing yet contemplative. "You speak with conviction, young summoner. But the threat we face is not to be taken lightly. The high-ranking demon you mentioned is a formidable foe, and it will require more than just bravery to confront it."

I nodded, feeling the weight of his words. "I understand, Your Majesty. But I've faced challenges before, and I believe that with the right strategy and preparation, we can overcome this threat. I have my summons, and I'm ready to fight." As I said that, one of noble name Yingston frowned and spoke. Heh, what help can a level 20 do? Even my knight at level 30 couldn't scratch that demon, so you think you can defeat that demon? Hence, a mere summoner, "he mockingly said, and he's the one who laughs when I said I'm a summoner. As he mocked me and my class, my eyes twitched in anger, but I calmed myself because I'm in the presence of the king. But I won't let this slide because I faced hardship to reach this level, and even to mock the lethality of my weapon, man, you mock the wrong summoner, bruh! I think to myself, but I take a deep breath and maintain my composure.

"Every hero starts somewhere," I said, my voice steady despite the anger simmering beneath the surface. "Level doesn't define a person's worth or their ability to make a difference. I may be level 20, but I have the potential to become the strongest summoner that can even rival the strongest dragon! "I claim.

The hall fell silent, the tension palpable as my words hung in the air. I could feel the eyes of the gathered elves on me, some filled with skepticism, others with curiosity. Lyra's gaze was steady, her support evident as she stood beside me, her presence a comforting reminder of why I was here.

Elric, the king, regarded me with a mixture of respect and caution. "You speak with passion, young summoner. It is true that potential can be a powerful ally. But the demon we face is not just a creature of brute strength; it is cunning and has been known to manipulate the very shadows of the forest. You will need more than just determination to confront it."

"Yes sir, I'm aware. That's why I became the fifth hero of this world. It's not because I'm a summoned person from another world or a Filipino who got accidentally chosen. It's because of how deadly my weapons are. I have the potential to erase even a whole nation if just given a chance to level up faster!" I respectfully reply to the king.

The atmosphere in the grand hall shifted once more, the weight of my words hanging heavily in the air. I could see the skepticism in some of the nobles' eyes, but there were also glimmers of intrigue and respect. Lyra stood beside me, her expression a mix of pride and concern, as if she understood the gravity of what I was saying.

Elric studied me for a long moment, his gaze unwavering. "You have spirit, Keith, and that is commendable. But spirit alone will not be enough to face the darkness that threatens our kingdom. You will need allies, strategy, and perhaps even the wisdom of our elders."

I nodded, feeling the urgency of the situation. "I understand, Your Majesty. I'm not here to fight alone. I have my friends, and I believe that together, we can devise a plan to confront this demon. While my party is not here, I can scout the area with my ghillie suit and gather information.

"Heh! Weak! You're still relaying to the other heroes, hahahaha! You speak, you can wipe a nation, then you lean to your teammates, hah, my ass! Don't be fooled, my king; he is just a fraud, nothing but talk. (Can I just shoot this guy in his face? He's really getting on my nerves, but Lyra stops me as my body moves on its own, holding my hand. As I calmed down with her hands warm, I noticed that I unconsciously summoned my M1 pistol. (Fuck, did I summon it unconsciously? And my body is ready to fuck this motherfucker?") I murmur to myself as Lyra steps forward and says,.

"How about you fight him, Sir Yingston, if you doubt his strength? Lyra said with annoyance in her voice. The tension in the grand hall thickened as Lyra's challenge hung in the air. All eyes turned to Yingston, who looked momentarily taken aback by her boldness. The nobles around us murmured in surprise, their expressions a mix of intrigue and disbelief.

"Fight him?" Yingston scoffed, regaining his composure. "Why would I waste my time on a lowly summoner? I have better things to do than entertain the whims of a child."

"Because you doubt his abilities," Lyra pressed, her voice steady and unwavering. "If you truly believe he is unworthy, then prove it. A duel would show us all the truth."

"Meh…the dude is probably scared of a weak summoner like me because he's weak too," I said with a grin as I purposely provoked him.

Yingston's face flushed with indignation at my taunt, and I could see the gears turning in his mind. The gathered nobles watched with bated breath, the tension in the air thick enough to cut with a knife.

"Very well," he said, his voice dripping with disdain. "If it will shut you both up, I'll accept your challenge. But don't expect me to go easy on you, summoner."

"Good, I want you to come at me with all you got," I replied, feeling a surge of adrenaline. "Just don't call your mom after I beat you."

Elric raised a hand, silencing the murmurs of the crowd. "A duel, then. But let it be known that this is not just a display of strength; it is a test of character. I expect both of you to fight honorably."

The tension in the grand hall was palpable as the nobles and courtiers gathered around, their eyes fixed on the impending duel. I could feel the weight of their expectations, and I knew that this was more than just a fight; it was a chance to prove myself not only to them but to myself as well.

"Are you ready, summoner?" Yingston sneered, his confidence radiating from him. He stepped forward, drawing a finely crafted sword from his side, its blade glinting in the enchanted light. "I hope you're prepared to be humiliated."

"Same goes to you, my guy! "I replied with a grin.
