Chapter 3.00 - Until Eternity Do Us Part (3)

Before Zeus and Hera threw the first blow

The grand hall shimmered with a golden glow, illuminated by the eternal sun burning high in the sky. Every fifty years, this meeting took place, a conversation laden with history and scars.

On one side of the table, with an imposing and solemn posture, was Uriel, the sword of judgment of Catholicism. Her white wings rested at her back, her expression was serene, but her gaze was that of a warrior who did not forget.

In front of her, on a throne carved from gold and sacred stone, sat Inti, the god of the Sun. His presence radiated warmth and power, but his tone was measured, calm, that of a leader who wanted no more war.

Both knew why they were there.

—Centuries have passed, Uriel. —Inti's voice was deep, but without a trace of anger—. The punishment imposed on my people has lasted longer than justice demands.

Uriel remained silent for a moment, her golden eyes analyzing each word.

—The orders of Heaven are clear, Inti. Your people rose in favor of Lucifer, and betrayal cannot be easily forgotten.

The Incan god bowed his head with respect.

—I do not deny it. We knew what it meant to support your brother. But tell me, Uriel, how long must a sentence last before it becomes vengeance?

Uriel closed her eyes for a moment. It was a difficult question.

The Incas had been severely punished after the Civil War in Paradise. They were forbidden access to the main Heaven, their gods were silenced in many parts of the world, their influence reduced.

But they had endured it all with honor.

—The decision is not mine alone, but the Council's.

—And yet, you are here. —Inti placed his hands on the table—. Which means the judgment can change.

Uriel exhaled. It was true.

—I have read the records. You have complied with every restriction imposed. You have maintained peace. Perhaps…

Inti's eyes gleamed with restrained hope.

—Perhaps it is time to close this chapter.

Uriel had barely finished speaking when the world trembled.

A deep, muffled roar emerged from the depths of the earth.

The temple walls quivered, the rays of sunlight seemed to flicker, as if something were disturbing the very sky.

Inti rose from his throne.

—This is not natural.

Uriel instinctively spread her wings, sword in hand.

—It's an earthquake… but it's not coming from the earth.

The energy spreading was not mortal.

It was divine.

From outside, the screams of Incan priests echoed, while the sacred statues trembled as if they were about to collapse.

Uriel closed her eyes for a second and understood the truth instantly.

—This is coming from Olympus.

Inti frowned.

—The Greek gods…

Uriel felt the disturbance in the celestial fabric.

Two colossal forces had clashed.

And if the energy of that impact had reached this realm… it meant that Olympus was on the verge of collapse.

—What the hell is happening over there? —Inti whispered.

Uriel raised her sword to the sky.

—There is only one way to find out.

But before she could act, memories trapped her…

The vibrations of the earthquake still resonated through the sacred ground. Uriel gripped the hilt of her sword tightly, her gaze lost on the horizon.

No matter how far Olympus was…

She could feel it.

Divine forces were colliding, and at the center of it all was Hera.

For a moment, Uriel closed her eyes.

And the memories flooded in without permission.

A child.

A sword larger than her, struggling to lift it with effort.

A warm whisper beside her:

—Don't hold it with fear, little one. The sword is a part of you.

Uriel looked up, and there was Hera, smiling at her with pride.

Always there. Always patient.

While everyone else expected only obedience from Uriel, Hera taught her to think for herself.

—Why must I learn this if I won't go to war? —she had once asked, frustrated, when the sword felt too heavy.

Hera had smiled, resting her hand on her shoulder.

—Because not everything is resolved through war. But if it ever comes, you must decide for yourself whether to fight or not.

And in the distance…

Her brother.

Lucifer.

More alive than ever when Hera was near.

Uriel remembered how he laughed with her, how his light grew warmer when they were together.

And now…

Lucifer had fallen.

Hera was trapped in an Olympus that never deserved her.

And she… she didn't have the strength to stop it.

Her breathing grew heavy.

She could no longer ignore it. Not this time.

—Let nothing happen to her.

The thought pierced her soul like an invisible sword.

Inti watched her in silence, with the patience of a god who understood more than he said.

—What is it, archangel?

Uriel opened her eyes.

Her voice came out harsher than she expected.

—…Nothing.

But she had already made a decision.

If Olympus was collapsing, if history was about to change forever…

She would witness it with her own eyes.

And in the depths of her soul, only one silent prayer echoed:

"Hera… hold on."

A whisper echoed in Derek's mind.

Pheme's voice.

"Tell them, Derek. The rumor must spread…"

He adjusted his hood, as if he were about to drop ultra-confidential information.

—Look… I'm not saying Aphrodite is caught up in a scandal…

[Hades_Simp]: Don't do this to me, brother.[CuriousGoddess]: HURRY UP, SPEAK!

—But let's just say… lately, she's been seen very often with a certain god who is not her husband and isn't even from Olympus.

Derek smirked as an avalanche of messages flooded the chat. Pheme was loving this.

[CuriousGoddess]: WAIT, IT'S NOT ARES?![StormLover]: NOT EVEN FROM OLYMPUS? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!

Derek raised an eyebrow and leaned closer to the floating camera, lowering his voice as if revealing classified information.

—I didn't say names, mortals. But… let's just say a certain god from a very ancient pantheon has been making "diplomatic visits" more often than usual.

[CuriousGoddess]: IT CAN'T BE EGYPTIAN, I REFUSE TO BELIEVE THIS![UnderworldTea]: DID SOMEONE SAY NORDICS?

—I don't want any trouble… But… Aphrodite and him have been seen together way too many times.

[PantheonWatcher]: NOOOOO WAY.[ChaosDivine]: THIS IS A DIPLOMATIC CRISIS.[RagnarokHype]: LET ME GUESS, IS IT LOKI?!

Derek opened his mouth to continue, but at that moment…

His stream screen shook.

The ground beneath his feet shook.

The golden torches of Olympus flickered, as if the very sky doubted its own stability.

[MortalElite]: Bro, is your camera falling or what?

DONATION of 10 Grace Coins - [SkyLover]: Did anyone else feel that, or was it just my internet?

Derek frowned and looked around. The servants of Olympus had frozen in place.

He furrowed his brow and turned the floating camera toward the great throne hall.

—Uh… chat, hold on a second. Something's happening.

And then…

It was heard.

Hera's scream.

I WANT A DIVORCE!

The echo of her voice roared through all of Olympus.

[StormFollower]: HISTORY IS HAPPENING WTF[UnderworldKing]: THIS IS BIGGER THAN THE APHRODITE SCANDAL WTF

DONATION of 100 Soul Coins - [CuriousGoddess]: Nahhh, this tops everything.

Derek was speechless.

—Chat… what… what the hell was that?

And then—

BOOOOOOOM.

A golden lightning bolt exploded, followed by a crimson energy shockwave.

The Palace of Olympus trembled, the sky split in two. The stream shook violently as Zeus and Hera clashed with all their power.

Derek stumbled backward, the floating camera wobbled—but it kept recording.

[CelestialGod23]: THEY'RE GONNA KILL EACH OTHER![HeavenlyWarrior]: FIRST GODLY BATTLE EVER BROADCASTED LIVE!DONATION of 500 Soul Coins - [RagnarokHype]: PLEASE KEEP RECORDING.

Lightning tore through the sky. The earth shuddered.

The war of the gods was real.

And then…

The chat froze.

Several names appeared in the viewer list.
