Chapter 5

"Absolutely not. Blossom died because of me. I failed in my duty as a father. If we desecrate his ashes like that, it would break Seraphina's heart."

HIs mother-in-law looked thoroughly displeased:

"Why not just keep it from her? The husband leads the wife, the father leads the child - whatever they do for you is as it should be."

"Seraphina can't have children, and you haven't even divorced her. That's already quite generous. Now using her child's ashes to contribute something for the future heir of the Shaw family is only right and proper."

"Master Langdon is a true expert. What he says must be correct. The most urgent task now is to have Britta give me a healthy, chubby grandson."

Britta also sobbed:

"That's right, Donavan. You have responsibilities as a father to Blossom, but don't you have any for our child? Do you want to lose another child? The baby in my belly is your own flesh and blood."
