Chapter 60: I'm Really Worried About Hokage-Sama!

"Oh, it's finally our turn!" Kidomaru said with a smile.

"I've been in a state of transformation this whole time, and my entire body is full of dissatisfaction," Sakon said, approaching from the left and right.

"You all stink to death," Tayuya said with a look of disgust.

"Don't be like this. Everyone is a partner," said Jirobo.

The Anbu below seemed to react. "Don't worry about them, hurry up and cover Hokage-sama!" one shouted.

The four Sound Ninjas quickly made seals with their hands: "Ninja Art: Four Purple Flame Barrier!"

In an instant, a purple cube rose from the roof, blocking the area.

Anbu that rushed towards the barrier were instantly surrounded by flames and fell screaming.

In the stands:

"Barrier ninjutsu," Guy said. "It's even faster than Anbu's reaction. They're certainly not idle. Could it be Kakashi?"

Kakashi shot him a blank look but said nothing. "Are you saying that against your will?"

At this moment, a figure dressed as Anbu jumped out to block Kakashi and Guy.

"What are you doing? Hokage-sama is in danger!" Guy shouted at the figure.

Suddenly, the Anbu beckoned, and the figure of Kabuto appeared beside him.

"Really nerve-wracking," Kakashi said with a hint of amusement.

"Did you pretend to be Anbu?" Guy said, joy evident on his face. Then, with a serious tone, he added, "This guy also uses illusions. What a formidable opponent, right, Kakashi?"

"That's right! Let's do it together!" Kakashi agreed.

The two rushed forward to "fight" with Kabuto.

Naruto, watching from the stands, sighed. "This acting is just way too bad."

On the roof:

"Do you want to start a war, Kazekage?" Third Hokage asked, his voice calm as he looked at Kazekage behind him.

"That's right," Kazekage replied.

Third Hokage continued: "We should refrain from using force and seek a peaceful solution."

"Then, I want Uchiha Sasuke. Do you think that's acceptable?" Kazekage asked.

Third Hokage fell silent for a while. "It's not impossible to discuss."

"Hmph, you're still the same, Sarutobi!" Kazekage said lightly, mocking him.

Third Hokage's eyes twitched. "Bastard! Is it you, Orochimaru!?"

Outside Konoha Village:

A giant three-headed snake the size of a mountain appeared outside the city wall, knocking a hole into Konoha's defenses.

The Sand Shinobi weren't far behind.

The Konoha Destruction Plan had officially begun.

"Ah, I was planning to use Gaara to create chaos and then take Sasuke, but it doesn't seem to be going as planned," Orochimaru said with a grin.

"So that's why you came to Konoha — just for Sasuke, Orochimaru!" Third Hokage questioned. "You said earlier this would cause such a commotion."

"More than that," Orochimaru replied ominously. "I came to send my dear teacher off one last time."

"Nani!?" The Third Hokage's eyes widened in shock. "You!?"

"Is Konoha such an important place for you, Teacher?" Orochimaru sneered. "Your foolishness has turned Konoha into a mess. This time, I was right!"

"Shut up! You won't know the end result until it's over!" Third Hokage snapped, his anger rising.

Orochimaru removed the human-skin mask from his face. "Orochimaru!" Third Hokage said, his eyes narrowing.

"I knew such a day would come," the Third Hokage muttered, glaring at Orochimaru. "It's not so easy to kill me!"

At Hokage's House:

Morino Ibiki stood watching the chimney of the Chūnin Exam stadium in the distance. "Damn you, Orochimaru."

A nearby ninja asked, "Are we going to support?"

"No, it's too dangerous to act without knowing the situation, especially with Orochimaru involved," Ibiki replied.

"Is Orochimaru really that dangerous?" the rookie ninja asked.

"He was once the most qualified candidate to be Hokage, chosen over the Fourth Hokage, but he wasn't accepted by everyone…" Ibiki thought to himself, though he didn't share the full story.

The major Konoha clans, including the Hyuga, Ino-Shika-Chō, Aburame, Inuzuka, and Shimura clans, were waiting for this moment.

"Everyone, protect the villagers and help them evacuate while resisting the invading ninjas!" The heads of each clan issued these orders, though no one mentioned supporting Hokage directly.

In the Stands:

Kakashi and Guy continued to bicker.

The two glanced at the Sound Ninjas and Kabuto, and Kakashi said, "There are quite a lot of them."

"Careless, and even Hokage-sama..." Guy muttered, "Kakashi, look at the barrier."

Kakashi eyed the barrier and saw Orochimaru, who had removed his disguise. "As expected, are you here to see me off?"

At that moment, the Sound Ninjas began picking off the Anbu ninjas who hadn't yet fallen unconscious. Many of them died shortly after, while two Otonin rushed towards Naruto.

Naruto sighed helplessly. "In these days, no matter where you go, there are always good eyes watching."

With that, he punched one of the Otonin that was coming for him, sending them flying.

Meanwhile, Kakashi and Guy were struggling to clean up the remaining enemies.

Guy yelled "Ada!" as he knocked out an Otonin, then turned to Kakashi. "Damn it, I'm really worried about Hokage-sama."

Kakashi gave a tired sigh. "..."

On the Roof:

Orochimaru held the Third Hokage hostage, looking at the destruction of Konoha. It had been a long time since he had been abandoned by Danzo and the Third Hokage.

"Heh," Orochimaru laughed to himself.

The Third Hokage looked back at him, smirking.

"Are you crying with joy, or are you feeling a bit sad about killing your master?" the Third Hokage mocked.

"No," Orochimaru said, suddenly stabbing his palm with a kunai. "I've been a little sleepy, but now I'm awake."

"Hmph, I knew this would happen," the Third Hokage said with a disdainful smile. "You're still too naive, Orochimaru."

The battle for Konoha had only just begun, and both sides were about to face devastating consequences.
