Chapter 115: What To Do? The Captain Exploded On The Spot.

Naruto, Kakashi, and Obito walked at a steady pace, moving like travelers with no care in the world.

"Hey, shouldn't we pick up the pace?" Kakashi said impatiently. "The village is waiting to hear about us blowing up the Kannabi Bridge."

Naruto glanced at Kakashi like he was an idiot. "You don't actually think Kannabi Bridge is that important, do you?"

"Obviously!" Kakashi snapped. "Once we destroy it, Iwagakure's supply lines will be cut off. Without provisions, their forces will collapse. It's a strategic victory!"

"That's amazing!" Rin said, looking at Kakashi with admiration.

"Tch. What's so great about that?" Obito scoffed, but the awkward look on his face betrayed his ignorance.

Naruto couldn't help but laugh.

"What's so funny?" Kakashi demanded.

"Where did you even hear this garbage?" Naruto asked curiously.

"I analyzed it myself!" Kakashi said proudly. Then, seeing Naruto's unimpressed stare, he added, "Well... and Minato-sensei mentioned similar points in a high-level meeting."

"No wonder. Only your naive teacher would believe such nonsense." Naruto sneered.

"You're not allowed to insult Minato-sensei!" Kakashi shouted angrily. "And I'm a Jōnin now! We're equals, so show some damn respect."

Naruto laughed even harder. "First of all, this is a ninja war. How do you think supplies are transported?"

Kakashi opened his mouth, but before he could answer, Naruto continued, "Through storage scrolls, genius. The transporters are also ninja. Why the hell would they need a bridge?"

Kakashi froze.

"Second, if Kannabi Bridge was really so vital, why did Minato go to the front lines instead of staying to protect it?" Naruto asked mockingly.

Kakashi hesitated.

"Because he needed to show Konoha's strength," Naruto said, then smirked. "Now, do you think we still need to go to Kannabi Bridge?"

Kakashi nodded hesitantly.

"Wrong again." Naruto crossed his arms. "This whole battle is just a show of force. The real message is that we can take out Iwagakure's logistics even when they're guarded. It's about intimidation. This isn't about a bridge; it's a contest to see which side folds first."

Naruto turned to Kakashi and smirked. "You still have a lot to learn, kid."

"Don't call me a kid! I'm a Jōnin, same as you!" Kakashi snapped.

"Third," Naruto said, ignoring him, "I'm Minato's big brother, Jōnin, and the leader of the Legendary Sannin. You're younger than me, so show some damn respect."

The three stared at Naruto, stunned. No wonder he looked so much like Minato! But why had Minato never mentioned having an older brother? And leader of the Sannin?!

"Anyway, don't believe every stupid rumor you hear. They're made for fools." Naruto sighed. "Danzo probably understands the real strategy, but he doesn't want Iwagakure to back down easily. That's why he sent you three as cannon fodder."

"What?!" The trio recoiled in shock. "That's impossible! Danzo wouldn't—"

"Believe what you want." Naruto waved dismissively.

"If Danzo wanted us dead, why did you volunteer to come with us?" Kakashi asked suspiciously.

"Because I want this war over and done with," Naruto replied, staring into the distance. "The sooner I end it, the sooner my life gets quieter. Fighting is boring."

Silence.

Kakashi suddenly tensed and turned to Naruto, but before he could speak—

A kunai shot straight at Naruto, detonating on impact!

"Naruto-taichō!" Obito and Rin shouted in horror.

"Shit!" Kakashi grabbed them and dove behind a tree.

"Jōnin, leader of the Sannin? What a joke!" Kakashi muttered.

"What now? The captain just exploded! We're screwed!" Obito panicked.

Kakashi gritted his teeth, sensing enemy chakra ahead. "I'm a Jōnin too! You two cover me!"

"Kakashi!" Obito and Rin started, but he had already moved.

Lightning crackled around Kakashi's hand, the air filled with the screeching of birds—Chidori!

"Cover me!" Kakashi shouted before charging forward, blasting a hole through the tree blocking his path.

He leaped onto a branch. "One down!"

His Chidori impaled an Iwa-nin—who vanished in a puff of smoke.

"A Shadow Clone?!" Kakashi cursed, rushing toward another chakra signature. "Then I'll kill you all!"

He slashed through another enemy, then another. The forest echoed with explosions and screams.

Obito and Rin desperately deflected kunai aimed at Kakashi.

Then, as Kakashi lunged at the last Iwa-nin, the enemy suddenly smirked and slashed downward.

The sword sank into Kakashi's shoulder—

Only for him to vanish in a puff of smoke.

Naruto stood on top of the last Iwa-nin, having crushed him into the dirt with a single stomp.

Kakashi and the others swallowed nervously, staring at the crater where the enemy had been.

"It's over." Naruto sighed, looking at Kakashi's injured shoulder. "I have a pretty good idea of your strength now."

"You..." Kakashi stared. He glanced at the scorched ground where Naruto had supposedly exploded earlier—only to find charred wood chunks. "A Body Replacement?! That fast?!"

Naruto yawned. "Looks like you're hurt. Let's find a place to rest. I'm tired."

"I'm fine!" Kakashi protested.

"Fine? If it weren't for Naruto-taichō, you'd be dead!" Obito snapped.

"Oh, shut up! Weren't you the one crying earlier? Some elite Uchiha you are," Kakashi shot back.

"I got sand in my eye, bastard!" Obito sputtered.

Rin sighed. "You two..."

"Enough." Naruto stretched. "Find a place to rest and shut up."

Suddenly—

The ground erupted. Giant tree roots surged out, aiming straight for Naruto!

A voice echoed through the forest:

"Wood Style: Deep Forest Emergence!"
