HARRO.
I refused to let go of Orion as he prepared a bath for us, my arms wrapped tightly around him as if I feared he'd slip away. He chuckled, his eyes crinkling at the corners, and allowed me to cling to him as he moved around the spacious bathroom. I followed him, my eyes fixed on him, as he expertly set up the bathtub, filling it with warm, scented water.
As he helped me undress, his fingers brushing against my skin sent shivers down my spine. We climbed into the bathtub together, and I settled between his legs, feeling the warmth of the water envelop us. Orion's arms wrapped around me, holding me close, and I felt a deep sense of connection, of belonging.
Our bodies were still glowing from our intimate moment in the sitting room, and I could feel the heat emanating from Orion's skin. As I turned to gaze into his eyes, I felt the empty void I'd been feeling for months finally making sense. It was as if the puzzle pieces had finally fallen into place.
"From the moment I saw you at the hospital," I began, my voice barely above a whisper. Orion's eyes sparkled with affection, and he leaned in, his lips brushing against my ear. His warm breath sent shivers down my spine.
"I couldn't get you out of my mind," I continued, my voice trembling with emotion. Orion's arms tightened around me, holding me close as if he'd never let me go.
"You must have been so confused," he whispered, his voice filled with empathy.
I nodded, feeling a lump form in my throat."I didn't know why," I replied, my voice filled with emotion. "I thought I just wanted sex at first, but there was something about you that drew me in, making me want more." Orion's lips moved down my neck, and I felt his heart beating in time with mine, a soothing rhythm that calmed my soul.
"I remembered my father telling me at the hospital that you were his friend," I continued, "but I couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to the story. More to you." Orion's grip on me loosened slightly, and he leaned back, his eyes locked on mine, filled with a deep understanding.
"Don't be mad at your father," he said, his voice soft and gentle. "we both wanted to keep you safe." I smiled, knowing my father must have given him no choice. I knew how protective my father was, and I knew how much it must have hurt Orion to stay away from me.
"I thought about the way you smiled at me," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. "I thought your eyes looked sad, even though they crinkled at the corners." I paused, realization dawning on me. "I'm now realizing why. You were hurt that I couldn't remember you." Orion's eyes filled with tears, and he nodded, his face etched with pain.
"Back then, my heart beat like crazy when you touched my hand," I continued, my voice filled with emotion. I paused, taking a deep breath as the memories came flooding back, each one a reminder of the love we shared, the love that had been hidden beneath the surface, waiting to be rediscovered.
"I didn't know what any of it meant," I whispered, my voice trembling with emotion, "but I felt a connection with you that I couldn't explain. And now," I paused, my eyes locking onto Orion's, "now that I have my memories back, I understand why." Orion's eyes burned with a deep love and affection, and I felt my heart swell with emotion.
"I missed you so much," Orion whispered, his lips brushing against my forehead in a gentle kiss. I closed my eyes, cherishing the feel of his lips on my skin. "I thought I was going to die without you." he added, his voice cracking with emotion.
I opened my eyes, my gaze meeting Orion's. "You must have suffered so much," I whispered, my lips brushing against his. "With no one to turn to, no one to share your pain with." My heart ached at the thought of what he must have gone through.
"I was upset because I couldn't remember a part of my life," I continued, "but at least I had my family. I'm sorry, Orion. I'm so sorry my dad did that to you." I felt a surge of anger towards my father, but it was tempered by the love and gratitude I felt towards Orion.
Orion's eyes teared up again as he smiled at me. "You don't have to apologize, Harro," he whispered. "I know your dad was just trying to protect you." I nodded, feeling a sense of understanding wash over me.
"I think I couldn't get you out of my mind because my heart remembered the way you made me feel," I said, my voice filled with emotion. "The way I was completely in love with you, the way you accepted me, and loved me for who I am." Orion's eyes locked onto mine, and I felt my heart soar.
Orion leaned in, his lips meeting mine in a tender, loving kiss. I felt like I was home, like I was exactly where I was meant to be. The kiss deepened, and I felt our hearts beating as one, our love shining brighter than ever before.
"Thank you for remembering," Orion said, pulling away from our kiss briefly, a soft smile on his face. He leaned in again, his lips brushing against mine.
"Thanks for taking care of me and waiting for me," I whispered back, my voice barely audible, before kissing him again.
As we sat there, wrapped in each other's arms, I felt a deep sense of belonging, of being exactly where I was meant to be. I had my memories back, and with them, I had Orion. And that was all that mattered.
But one thing kept nagging me, a worry that had been simmering beneath the surface. "What happened with your father?" I asked quietly, fearing for what the revelation of our relationship had done to him while I was unconscious.
Orion's expression changed, a hint of sadness and concern etched on his face. He took a deep breath, his eyes locked on mine, and I knew that I wasn't going to like what he had to say.
"A lot happened, actually." Orion said, his voice low and introspective. "He called an emergency board meeting to discuss the future of the company after he couldn't get a hold of me, when I'd clearly told him I wasn't going to give you or the company up. He wasn't happy about my decision." Orion's eyes clouded over, memories of the confrontation etched on his face.
"And then I had to make it very clear to him that I was ready to rain hell on his reputation if he didn't back down. Thankfully, I was able to convince the board of directors that I was the best person in charge of the company thanks to our performance during the merger." Orion finished, his voice firm and resolute. I could only imagine how hard that must have been for him, standing up to his father's wrath and manipulation while navigating the possible loss of his mother's legacy.
I felt a pang of regret and guilt. "I'm sorry I wasn't here for you," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. I thought I would be by his side when his father found out about us, but fate had other plans.
Orion's eyes locked onto mine, filled with reassurance. "You don't have to be sorry, baby," he said, his voice soft and gentle. "I should have stood up for myself against his control sooner. I was just afraid." His lips brushed against my neck, sending shivers down my spine.
I leaned in, enjoying the sensation as his mouth brought out my desire for him. His kisses were like a balm to my soul, soothing away the pain and guilt of not being there for him. I knew that we still had a long way to go, but in this moment, I knew that we would face whatever came next, together.
As I held onto Orion, feeling his arms wrapped tightly around me from behind, his lips trailing kisses down my neck, my mind began to wander back to the day of the accident. My body shivered as I relived those memories, and I felt Orion's grip on me tighten, as if he could sense the turmoil brewing inside me.
I remembered going to lunch with my dad, who had flown in from Canada that morning. We had such a great time together, laughing and joking like we always did. My dad's smile, his laughter, and his words of encouragement all came flooding back, and I felt a pang of gratitude for the wonderful relationship we shared.
After lunch, I got in my car and promised to have dinner with my dad and Orion before he went back home. As my dad left to attend a conference, I started driving home to Orion's place, where I had spent the previous night after picking him up from the airport. I couldn't stop thinking about the kiss we shared at the airport, how bold he was to kiss me in the open like that, even though he hadn't disclosed our relationship to the world yet.
It made me feel seen, loved, and cherished. I felt like I was on top of the world, like nothing could ever bring me down. As I drove, my phone rang, and it was Athena, Orion's best friend. She told me that she had been trying to call him, to warn him that his father had found out about our relationship.
I remember feeling a sense of unease, worry, and fear because I knew how much Orion stood to lose if his father decided to blackmail him with our relationship. Orion's father was a powerful man no doubt, and I knew that he would stop at nothing to get what he wanted. And then, something smashed into my car, sending it flying. As I lost consciousness, the only person on my mind was Orion.
I woke up in the hospital two months later, with no memory of my life for the past few months. The beeping of the machines and the sterile smell of the hospital room were overwhelming. And then, I saw him, standing by my bedside, looking at me with such care and concern. His eyes were filled with a deep sadness, but also with a sense of hope.
My father had introduced him as his friend, but it didn't feel right. Deep down, my heart knew that there was more to the story. It was as if my heart was trying to tell me something, but my mind couldn't quite grasp it.
As I looked at him, I felt a sense of longing, of yearning. I didn't know why, but I felt drawn to him in a way that I couldn't explain. He must have been so broken, watching me lie there, unaware of our future. And yet, he had to act tough, for my sake.
I thought I was losing my mind with how much I wanted him, but in reality, my heart was just begging to return to where it once belonged. I felt a sense of frustration, of desperation, as I tried to make sense of my obsession for him. But it wasn't until now, with my memories finally returning, that I understood why I felt that way. I was excited beyond words, knowing that I had the love of my life back.
I must have drifted off to sleep because when I came to, Orion's gentle voice spoke into my ear, "Let's get you to the bedroom, so you can sleep properly, okay?" I nodded, still sleepy, as he helped me out of the bathtub and dried my body. He got me ready for bed, and I felt a sense of relief wash over me as I lay down on the bed.
I was struggling to stay awake, but my body was exhausted. My memories were back, and it was all too much to handle. But I was grateful, so grateful, to have Orion back in my life.
Orion got into bed and pulled me on top of him, I felt his warmth and his love, I knew that I was exactly where I was meant to be. "Good night, love," Orion whispered, his lips brushing against my forehead. "Sweet dreams."
"Don't leave me again," I managed to whisper, my voice barely audible, before sleep took me. All my sleepless nights disappeared, replaced by a sense of peace and contentment, knowing that I had Orion back, and that i would never leave him again.
