Back to the Market… Again
I stood in the crowded market, holding the long list of ingredients Eve's had given me.
It was insanely long.
I gritted my teeth, staring at the small pouch of CP coins Eve's had handed me before I left.
> Me (internally): "At least I'm not spending my own money… but still, does this elf think I'm his personal servant?!"
I sighed and shook my head. Just get it done, Leo.
> Me: "I swear, if your cooking is bad, Eve's, you little flat-chest elf, I'm going to—"
> Vendor: "Hey, are you buying or just standing there like an idiot?"
I snapped out of my thoughts and realized I was blocking a vegetable stall.
The vendor, a grumpy old man with a beard like a mop, squinted at me.
> Me: "Oh—yeah, yeah. I'm buying."
I glanced at the list again, sighing as I read through it.

The Shopping List
1. Red Horned Boar Meat (Apparently juicier than normal meat.)
2. Golden Root Carrots (Looks like a carrot, tastes like a potato?)
3. Lunar Bell Peppers (They glow. Literally.)
4. Moon Salt (Harvested under moonlight, enhances flavor.)
5. Dusk Spice Mix (Sounds fancy, but it's probably just overpriced pepper.)
6. Elven Wheat Bread (Made from special wheat grown only in elf villages.)
7. Riverdew Leaves (For tea, not food, so why is this here?)
8. Mystic Egg (Wait… why does it say 'beware of hatching' next to it?!)

The Struggle Begins
I grabbed the Golden Root Carrots first. They were shiny, and the vendor swore they were the best.
> Me: "How much for three?"
> Vendor: "5 CP."
I blinked.
> Me: "Five? For carrots?"
> Vendor: "These aren't just any carrots! These are Golden Root Carrots, grown with enriched soil, absorbing nutrients from—"
> Me: "Fine, fine, whatever."
I handed over Eve's CP coins. Not my money, not my problem.

The Meat Stall
I moved on to the meat stall, where a massive Red Horned Boar carcass was hanging from the roof.
The butcher, a muscular man with scars, raised an eyebrow at me.
> Me: "Half a kilo of boar meat."
> Butcher: "That'll be 10 CP."
I almost choked.
> Me: "...You're joking."
> Butcher: "Freshly hunted, best quality."
I sighed and reluctantly handed over Eve's CP again.

The Glowing Peppers & Cursed Egg
The Lunar Bell Peppers were bright blue, glowing faintly like lanterns.
> Me: "How much?"
> Vendor: "8 CP for three."
I didn't even argue this time. Just take the money.
Then came the Mystic Egg.
The vendor, an old lady with one eye, gave me a toothy grin.
> Vendor: "You sure you want that, boy?"
> Me: "Uh… yeah? Why?"
> Vendor: "Just… don't let it get too warm."
> Me: "Huh?"
She didn't explain and just handed me the egg.
> Me (internally): "Why do I feel like this will cause me problems?"

Reality Check
After finally finishing, I stood at the edge of the market, checking the CP pouch.
> Me: "Eve's only gave me barely enough… He planned this, didn't he?"
I sighed heavily.
> Me: "This better be the best damn food I've ever tasted."
With the ingredients packed, I turned back toward the shop, ready to face that little elf again.
