Making Money Is So Easy?

After checking on the condition of each black pig, Glen turned to Tia and said,"Wait here for a moment. I'll be back soon."Without waiting for her response, he disappeared into the forest like a gust of wind.

The surroundings quickly grew silent, with only the grunts of the black pigs breaking the quiet.Tia felt a chill on her back and inched closer to the pigsty for comfort.

It didn't take long for Glen to return, carrying an animal that looked like a roe deer over his shoulder.Unlike the roe deer from his past life, this one was much larger, almost the size of a domestic pig, with a small, conical horn on its forehead.

"Glen, what is this?" Tia asked curiously.

To her surprise, Glen shook his head. "I don't know, but I call it a 'silly roe deer.'"He used the Chinese pronunciation, and Tia found it hard to pronounce.

"Silly roe deer? What a strange name. Why not choose something easier to say?""Well, why don't you come up with a name?"

As they talked, Glen began processing the animal. He had promised the old cat he would sell some meat, so he couldn't go back on his word.

Tia scratched her chin, thinking for a while, but she couldn't come up with a name she liked. She clearly wasn't good at this."Never mind. I can't think of a good one."

The two of them chatted idly as Glen quickly finished processing the animal, placing it onto the cart. He then brought out the large deer and gestured for Tia to climb aboard and find a place to sit.

The little maid excitedly scrambled onto the cart, her movements a bit clumsy. Glen couldn't help but chuckle.

"Are you seated properly?" he asked.Tia nodded.

With a flick of the reins, the large deer began to trot, pulling the cart and gradually picking up speed.

Meanwhile, in another part of the forest, Ravel was grumbling as he harvested piggrass. He carried the basket Glen had made for him, which was already quite full.

Though he had accepted the reality of doing hard labor, it didn't stop him from secretly complaining. After a while, he glanced at the big dog nearby, who was dozing off, and decided to slack off for a bit.

When people are being paid, they like to slack off. For Ravel, who wasn't being paid at all, it was even easier to do so. As long as the work was finished by the end of the day, he didn't mind taking a break.

He gently set the basket down and began searching through the bushes, occasionally lifting stones from the ground.Soon enough, he caught two black beetles about the size of his palm. These beetles had pincers of various shapes on their heads. When placed together, the beetles would fight each other, a behavior Ravel had recently discovered. He loved watching these little creatures battle.

To him, it was far more interesting than any games he had played with other noble children in the past.

His noble clothes, which he had worn for five days, were now dirty and torn from moving around the forest.Back at his estate, a maid would have helped him change clothes.

But here, there was only Tia. She would have been happy to help, but when she came, she hadn't brought extra clothes. So, Ravel didn't bother. At first, it felt uncomfortable, but now that he had gotten used to it, it didn't seem like such a big deal.

"By the way, remember to buy Ravel a new set of clothes. He's starting to smell. I can smell it from a distance," Glen suddenly said to Tia, who was looking at the scenery on the cart.

"Okay, Mr. Glen," Tia replied, turning to him. Then, she hesitated and asked, "Should I use my two silver coins?"

"Why not? Just buy him a set of commoner clothes. It won't cost much."

"Alright," Tia said, lowering her head.

Glen continued driving, and they quickly entered the town of Dud.Tia's initial disappointment was slowly replaced by curiosity and excitement as she saw the houses, stalls, and people in the town.

When they passed a bakery, Tia couldn't take her eyes off it.

Glen turned his head slightly and, with a light chuckle, pulled the reins to stop the deer."If you want, you can go in and buy something yourself."

He understood Tia's reaction—it was just like when he had first gone to the city with his parents as a child, seeing all the new foods and toys.

"Will this delay you?" Tia asked, her foot already out of the cart, but she stopped and looked back.

"It's fine. I can wait, but don't buy anything that will go to waste."

With Glen's permission, Tia eagerly jumped off the cart, her ponytail bouncing as she ran to the bakery.

In no time, Tia returned, joyfully carrying a paper bag filled with various breads. She handed the bag to Glen to hold and climbed back onto the cart. "Mr. Glen, would you like some?"

"I've already tasted all of these," Glen shook his head, declining.

Tia didn't think much of it and quickly took a piece of dark yellow bread from the bag and bit into it.After a few chews, her expression shifted from excitement to slight disappointment. The taste wasn't as good as she had imagined. It would be so much better if she had Glen's cooking with it… she thought to herself, before reaching for another piece.

The texture of the second piece also didn't meet her expectations.

They continued to the tavern that Glen had bought the previous day, and it was now empty with the front door locked.Glen stopped the cart beside it, then got off and noticed that Tia's bag was still quite full. He asked,"Can't finish it already?"

Tia blushed and shook her head. "I think it would be better to eat it when we get back."

"Oh," Glen said, not calling her out, "Well, that's up to you. It's your food."

He let Tia wander around the area while he used the key the previous owner had given him to unlock the tavern. He quickly pulled out some odds and ends from inside and set up a stall in front of the tavern, placing the "silly roe deer" on the counter.

During this time, Tia didn't leave. She helped eagerly, though her small frame made her less effective, she still worked hard.

Once everything was set up, Glen began calling out loudly to attract customers.Tia was amazed by how Glen drew in people.

As he had expected, some familiar faces from before approached, while others were new."Glen, is the price still the same as before?"

"Yes."

"Alright, give me twenty Bella!"

"No problem."

Glen skillfully cut off twenty Bella worth of meat, weighing it with a scale. It was perfect. His muscle memory was so strong now that he didn't even need a scale, but the customers would probably not trust him.

Suddenly, someone asked,"What kind of meat is this? Is it edible? Wasn't the last one black pig?"

"Don't worry, it's good."

When Glen had first slaughtered the animal, he had cut off a small piece and roasted it to taste, finding it delicious.

After confirming the quality of the meat, those who had been hesitant no longer hesitated. The price of meat in these past few days had returned to what it was before Glen started selling it. People knew that if they didn't buy enough fresh, cheap meat now, they wouldn't know when the next opportunity would come.

Tia watched in awe as Glen collected a pile of shiny copper and silver coins, her mouth agape in surprise. So making money is this easy? she thought to herself.
