Chapter 15: The A-Rank Nightmare

Troll stood tall, its grotesque form illuminated by the flickering torches of the squad's camp.

A true A-rank monster.

Even with all of Reyon's past life experience, this wasn't going to be easy.

Trolls were nightmares to kill—their insane regenerative ability made them practically immortal unless their core was destroyed.

But where was the core?

Reyon Takes the First Move

Reyon didn't hesitate.

The moment the troll lunged forward, he moved.

With a flick of his hand, he cast Vector Step, accelerating his speed and dodging the troll's massive fist just before it smashed into the ground.

BOOM!

The earth shattered beneath the impact, sending cracks rippling through the camp.

Taking advantage of the troll's overextended attack, Reyon countered immediately—

"earth spike"

A series of jagged rock spikes erupted from the ground, impaling the troll's arm.

But before Reyon could celebrate—

CRACK!

The spikes crumbled apart as the troll ripped its own arm free, the wounds sealing instantly as if they had never existed.

It's exactly as I expected. Ordinary attacks are useless.

But he wasn't finished yet.

With a swipe of his arm, he manipulated his vectors, pulling himself forward at an unpredictable angle.

He materialized directly above the troll's head, his hand crackling with mana.

"Vector Burst!"

A powerful explosion of force shot downward, slamming into the troll's skull.

BOOM!

The impact was so strong that the troll's head was forced into the ground, its massive body momentarily staggering.

But even as the dust settled—

The troll grunted and stood back up, its head regenerating faster than Reyon had anticipated.

Reyon clicked his tongue.

Even blunt force trauma wasn't enough.

The Troll Fights Back

The troll roared in rage, swinging its massive club-like arm at Reyon with terrifying speed.

WHOOOSH!

He barely dodged, the wind pressure alone slicing a deep trench into the earth.

Reyon landed a few feet away, focusing on his vectors to steady himself.

The troll didn't give him time to recover.

It stomped the ground, causing a shockwave that shattered the soil beneath Reyon's feet.

He lost his balance for a split second—

And that's all the troll needed.

With inhuman speed, it swung again.

Reyon crossed his arms, reinforcing himself with vector shielding, but—

BOOM!

The impact sent him skidding backward, his boots digging trenches in the dirt.

Realizing the Gap

Reyon exhaled sharply, his muscles tensing.

He wasn't injured, but that exchange had made one thing clear—

There was an enormous gap in raw power between them.

Even with his vector magic, he was only at the 3rd circle.

The troll, a full-fledged A-rank monster, had physical capabilities beyond the 6th circle.

If this kept up, he wouldn't last.

Reyon narrowed his eyes, his mind racing.

He needed a different approach.

That's when it hit him—regeneration had a weakness.

A troll's healing could be overloaded if it experienced rapid temperature shifts.

He turned to his squad, barking out orders.

"Listen up! We need to heat and cool it at the same time! Water and ice mages, freeze its limbs! Fire mages, burn it as soon as it's frozen!"

And so, the real battle began.

"Fall into position!" Reyon ordered, ignoring the pain.

His squad immediately responded, surrounding the troll.

Even though they weren't as powerful as Reyon, they knew how to follow orders.

Sylph dashed in first, her golden sword glowing with light magic, slicing into the troll's legs.

The cut was deep, but within seconds, the flesh regenerated.

Damn it. It's too fast.

Reyon dodged another strike, his mind racing for a solution.

Then it hit him.

Troll regeneration had one weakness—instant extreme temperature shifts.

If they froze the troll and then burned it immediately after, its cells would collapse before they could heal.

That's it!

The Plan to Kill the Troll

"Listen up!" Reyon shouted. "We need to heat and cool it at the same time! Water and ice mages, freeze its limbs! Fire mages, burn it as soon as it's frozen!"

His squad nodded in understanding.

The first step—

A water mage cast a powerful spell—Aqua Bind—drenching the troll in ice-cold water.

Then, an ice mage followed up with Frost Chains, instantly freezing the soaked monster.

"Now!" Reyon yelled.

A fire mage unleashed Inferno Burst, flames engulfing the frozen troll.

The Troll Screams

For the first time, the troll howled in agony.

Its flesh cracked and split open, unable to regenerate fast enough to handle the conflicting effects.

It's working.

But then—

ROOOAAARRRR!

The troll went berserk, its muscles bulging, its rage fueling it beyond its limits.

Even with half its body burned, it rushed forward, trying to destroy everyone in its path.

"Hold the line!" Reyon shouted.

His squad braced for impact—

But Reyon had one last move to finish this.

Reyon and Sylph Deliver the Final Blow

As the troll charged, Reyon activated Sigma (σ).

He redirected the remaining mana inside the troll's body, forcing its regenerative energy to scatter.

This weakened it completely.

"Sylph!" Reyon called. "Take the core!"

Sylph understood immediately.

Her golden sword ignited with radiant magic, and she dashed forward.

With one perfectly timed strike, she pierced the troll's chest—

And sliced the core in half.

BOOM!

The troll convulsed violently before finally collapsing into the ground, its massive body twitching for a few seconds before going completely still.

The Squad's Respect for Reyon

For a moment, no one spoke.

Then—

"WE WON!"

The squad erupted into cheers, their exhaustion forgotten in the glory of victory.

They had faced an A-rank monster and survived.

But more importantly—

They had done it under Reyon's command.

They had already acknowledged his strength after his fight with Visker.

But now, after seeing him strategize, lead, and adapt under pressure—

They acknowledged him as their true leader.

Reyon wasn't just a warrior.

He was a commander.

And now, his squad fully trusted him.

they would follow his lead in future making the overall mood of the squad light and motivated now reyon can be make preparations for future..
