Vy opened her eyes wide, looking up in surprise. A boy
about her age, was bending down to look at Vy curiously. He wore black-rimmed glasses, black eyes, and a school uniform. His hair was down, revealing a handsome
looking face. Vy looked at him in surprise, stuttering:
- Who are you?
The little girl could not
know that this moment would later become the most beautiful mark in Vy's
memory, forever indelible.
Nghia smiled,
showing his white teeth, making a face at her:
- I'm a ghost.
Vy couldn't have giggled. Was he kidding her?
Vy never believed
in ghosts and spirits, how could these things fool her.
But strangely, her
mood suddenly became much more comfortable.
Vy intended to put her hand on Nghia's shoulder
to question this friend named Nghia, but when she raised her hand, she could not touch
him. Her entire hand passed through Nghia's body, as if he had never existed. No matter how Vy
wanded her hand, she could not touch him.
Nghia was like air.
Vy stared at him,
her mouth agape, her head buzzing and tangled like wires. Oh no, this time she really had to
believe in spiritual things!
Nghia laughed, stepped
away:
- I told you, I am a ghost that still
exists in the mortal world.
Then, with a mysterious face, Nghia pointed at her, and said loudly:
- And you are the one who called me here.
That shows that the truth is only one, you will have to fulfill my
wish so that I can be liberated!
Vy raised her eyebrows and looked at Nghia, her face was puzzled, pouting as if to say:
Oh, you're okay? Why should I
help you? Are you Conan?
Nghia clicked his tongue, scratched his
head as if he had to say reluctantly:
- Well then... if you help me, I'll help you
with something you wish for.
Hearing that, her
eyes lit up. Wouldn't that mean her wish would come true?
But Vy was still quite suspicious of this ghost friend.
Was this the kind of
lucky
thing that fell from the sky?
Or was it the newest
way of cheating?
Actually, she had never
seen anyone as strange as him. In just a few minutes, she had witnessed
a ghost, then all sorts of things, like fulfilling wishes, like
being liberated.
Is it true that yin and yang have been reversed, and even humans can communicate with ghosts?
But in the next seconds, Vy truly understood why she had to help him.
A young man wearing headphones, dressed in all black, eyes closed and whistling happily, entered the alley,
passing through Nghia. He didn't care about her, Vy understood, but
even Nghia didn't pay attention to him, and even moved past.
He didn't see, how could
she see him?!?
Looking at her expression,
Nghia crossed his arms, triumphantly saying:
- See, I told you, right now
only you can see me, so only you can help me. My wish is the same as yours, which is to have a friend.
Um… okay, she had to
believe this. There was nothing in the world that was impossible, even being
requested and helped by a ghost. But Vy still wanted to ask a little:
- But why me? Why not
someone else?
Vy dusted off her clothes, took
a mask from her bag and put it on her face full of bruises. She adjusted her clothes,
tidyed her hair, put on her bag and looked at him, waiting for an answer. No matter how small
the world was, how beautiful it was, Vy was always convinced that she was not
lucky enough to be helped by a ghost.
Slightly surprised by Vy's
question, Nghia scratched his head, looking at her with shining eyes:
- Because… both you and I are victims of
school violence.
Then he pointed to Vy's black backpack:
- When he wrote that line, it was also the time
I had just become a soul. It was that fate and the yearning
in his heart that called me here when I was still sighing and wandering on the
streets.
He looked up, his eyes
dreamy, his voice deep and warm as if lingering in the air:
- It's also because you and I share the same dream,
a desire. What a coincidence, right?
The desire to have a
friend to share with, to have fun with.
Vy was stunned, a
clear, sparkling tear suddenly spread down her rosy cheeks. The corners of Vy's eyes
were swollen, creating bags under her eyes.
It turned out... there were still people
like her.
Not only did she have to endure these miserable things, but so did the others.
Her heart ached.
Seeing Vy's face bowed
down
without moving, Nghia had just looked down when he was startled and quickly walked closer:
- Hey, why are you crying again. Don't cry anymore, I really don't know how to comfort others.
Vy stepped back to wipe her tears, her voice a little panicked:
- No, I'm not crying, it's just dust flying
into my eyes.
For some reason, she didn't want him to see her weakness.
Realizing that she couldn't
touch him, Vy put her hands on her hips, her eyes shining with determination:
- Okay, I'll help you. But you
also have to fulfill one of my wishes, okay?
Nghia raised his finger in agreement, his mouth still saying:
- Of course it is. But you have to do it quickly, because even if I can't be liberated, I can only stay here for a full month, you can only do it within this month.
A month for her,
is not too long nor too short, enough for Vy to fulfill Nghia's wish.
Vy pointed to the distant light of the noisy world out there, excitedly saying:
- Then let's go do it!
The next month, is
the most wonderful month in the days buried by school violence
of her.
It is also the happiest last days of Nghia's life.
