First Day : 2

(Flower.)

I see him smile shyly, scratching the back of his neck after he said that his name wasn't interesting. I decide to not push further, and we let the silence fill the air.

"So, uh... Do you like flowers...? Since your name is Flower..."

Fluo chuckles at his own joke. I can't help but let out a amused huff, before replying :

"Yes... Yes, I like them."

He looks at me with a suprised expression.

"You...You actually laughed ???"

I nod, before replying :

"Yes, it...was a bit funny."

Though, I think it wasn't very funny. But it would be rude to tell him that, right ? I don't have the time to say more, because he leans towards me. He smells like... Mountain Dew and Doritos....?

"Really ?"

He mutters, staring at me with that glint of interest. I feel my whole being freeze, he is too close ! The way he stares is very unsettling, like I am a sort of...I don't know, actually. I can't describe it.

"You have...a really nice laugh, Flower."

He says, leaning even closer if possible.

"Fluo, uh..."

I am about to ask him to lean back, when I hear a familiar voice coming towards us; it immediately catch Fluo's attention, and he looks behind.

"Hey, Flower !"

Myself, I turn to see Levi, walking towards us. He's waving, with the same confident smile playing on his lips, who makes his piercings shine. Fluo leans back in a quick motion, and take a step back from me.

"What do you need...?"

Gumbles Fluo, putting carefully a hand on my shoulder. I flinch, but I notice he touched me with a lot of gentleness. He eyed Levi, and the other boy raise his eyebrow.

"Oh, you made a new friend ? Well, I wanted to show you the new amps for my band, in the music room of the campus, but if you're busy..."

"Ah, don't worry !"

I get up, and nods at Levi.

"If you could show me the music room, and with that the amps, it would be lovely."

Fluo seems suprised that I got up so fast, and I feel a bit guilty.

"Sorry, Fluo. See you later ?"

I say with an apologetic smile. He nods, and I follow Levi to the music room.

My delicate darling, you'll be back, of course you'll be back. You're too kind for this world... I must protect you...It's my destiny.

Into the music room, I sit next to Levi on stage, fidgeting with the hem of my skirt.

"Sorry... I probably looked weird back there."

Levi takes his blue electric guitar, and put it on his lap, before looking at me and replying :

"Nah, don't worry. You're good. Fluo... He's just Fluo. Probably wanted to tell you that he liked your shoes or somethin'."

I nod, a bit reassured from his words.

"Really ? How can you be so sure ?"

"Well, I know him since a long time. At least since we're... 13 ? I don't remember, but it was a long time ago."

"I suck at conversations, gosh..."

I say, looking away.

"Don't worry... Sometimes, communicating with music is better. What do you like ?"

I look at him, confused, but say :

"Something soft."

He nod, and start to play a soft song. He seems so entranced by what he plays, it's kind of...endearing. And the way his fingers moves on the strings...just hypnotizing. I start to sing along, quietly at first, but I quickly sings louder, clearer. As the last notes of music rings, Levi looks at me with a smile.

"Wow."

He mutters, seeming kind of proud.

"I didn't know a small girl like you could have a powerful voice."

"Hey !"

I protest, before looking away.

"I'm not that small."

Levi laugh softly, rolling his eyes in a playful manner.

"Yeah, of course. You sing very well, by the way. I might become your biggest fan, quickly ! "

I giggle along.

"Maybe, who knows ?"

He looks surprised, but then, a grin spreads across his face.

"Maybe ! So-"

The bell rings, signaling the end of lunch.

"Ah, just when I wanted to show you the amps..."

He sighs, seeming a bit disappointed.

"You can show me that later ? If-if you want, of course."

Levi perked up, and nod quicky.

"Yeah, okay ! I'll show you that, later."

We both get up, and Levi escort me to my next class, before leaving to his own.

The sun was beginning to set, outside. A cold day, really. It was soon the end of it, and I was just exhausted...I push the door of the art class, and look around. I see again the seatmate of this morning, the overly confident one.

"Hey, honey! C'mere!"

She says to me, gesturing to come over. I hesitate, but I have nowhere else to sit... So I go next to her.

"Flower, right? Name's Starla!"

She laughs warmly, her big earrings moving along with the movements of her head.

"Nice to meet you..."

I say kind of shyly, looking away. She smiles at me, and extend her hand.

"Likewise!"

We shakes hands, and I smile as well.

"Do you know your roommate ? Of the dorms?"

"Ah, no... I didn't look yet."

She seems to brighten up.

"Well, it's me! That's how I know your name!"

Seeing my surprise, she giggles, waving her hand dismissely.

"Stunned, right? You'll share your dorm with the beautiful me!"

I giggle along. Maybe this girl wasn't that bad, after all...overly confident, in a good way.

"If you teach me how to be that pretty, I don't mind!"

"Honey, no need! You're already magnificent."

I can't help but blush at this. After all, I don't get compliments often...

"Thanks..."

After art class, we go into the boarding school with Starla. She keeps talking, and I listen carefully as we enter in the dorm.

"Well, want to eat? Or maybe sleep? You seem really tired, honey."

I nod. Yes, I was very tired...

"Yeah, I will go to sleep. Goodnight, Starla..."

I nod, and go into the closest room, before closing the door behind me.
