The Tyrant’s Shadow

The battlefield lay in utter silence, the air thick with the remnants of the abyss's destruction. Yue Rin remained frozen, her golden eyes locked on the space where the unknown warrior had disappeared. His overwhelming presence had vanished as if he had never existed, yet the scars he left on the world were undeniable.

Her body trembled—not from fear, but from the sheer magnitude of what she had witnessed.

Who was he?

The way he moved, the way he fought… it was beyond anything Yue Rin had ever encountered. He wasn't just strong. He was absolute. The abyss, a being that devoured entire civilizations, had been eradicated in minutes.

Even gods would struggle to achieve such a feat.

A gust of wind swept through the battlefield, carrying with it the whispers of the fallen. Yue Rin clenched her fists, steadying her breath. She had to find out more about this man.

She turned toward the ruins of the once-thriving city that had been caught in the abyss's wake. Survivors were emerging from the wreckage, their eyes wide with disbelief. Murmurs spread among them.

"Is it… really over?"

"What was that silver light?"

"Did someone defeat the abyss?"

Yue Rin could hear the fear and awe in their voices. They had witnessed a miracle, yet none of them knew who had performed it.

Her mind raced. If that man is still somewhere in this world, then he's the greatest variable in existence.

And she wasn't the only one who realized this.

From the distance, a group of figures in black robes approached. Their faces were concealed by enchanted masks, their movements synchronized like a single entity. Yue Rin's expression darkened.

The Shadow Order.

They were an ancient organization—one that operated from the shadows, controlling kings, emperors, and even gods from behind the scenes. They sought power beyond mortal comprehension. And now…

They had witnessed the birth of a legend.

One of them stepped forward, his voice sharp and calculating. "You were there when it happened."

Yue Rin tensed but did not back down. "And what of it?"

The masked man tilted his head. "Tell us everything about him."

A cold smile formed on Yue Rin's lips. "Or what?"

The figures moved instantly.

A fight was inevitable.

Yue Rin exploded into motion, summoning her golden spear in an instant. The lead figure flicked his hand, summoning dark chains that lashed toward her like vipers. She spun her weapon, deflecting the first strike, then lunged forward, piercing through the second assassin's defenses.

Clang!

The battlefield was once again alive with battle, but this time, Yue Rin wasn't facing an abyss.

She was fighting those who sought to control the legend of the man who had saved them all.

And she had no intention of letting them succeed.
