The Collapse of the Weak

Chapter 8: The Collapse of the Weak

Lucian sat in the back of his sleek black Aston Martin, his crimson eyes glowing under the dim streetlights. Elena sat beside him, her body trembling—not with fear, but with something deeper. Excitement. Anticipation.

She had abandoned her husband without hesitation, lured by Lucian's dominance, power, and the dangerous promise in his gaze. The moment she stepped into his car, she had sealed her fate.

[New Addition: Elena – 94 Points]

Lucian smirked. Another one stolen.

The Husband's Desperation

A phone rang. Lucian glanced at the screen. Unknown Number. He answered.

A frantic voice crackled through the speaker. "Where's my wife?!"

Lucian chuckled, placing the call on speaker so Elena could hear every desperate plea.

"She's where she belongs," he said smoothly, his gaze locked onto Elena's face.

On the other end, her husband was sobbing. "Please, don't do this! I'll pay you anything!"

Lucian leaned in, whispering against Elena's ear. "Tell him."

Her breath hitched, her fingers clutching the hem of her dress. Then, she spoke.

"I'm not coming back."

A choked sob. "Elena… please… I love you…"

Lucian kissed the side of her neck, feeling her shiver under his touch. She moaned softly, just loud enough for her husband to hear.

Then he ended the call.

The weak disgusted him.

Power Moves

Back at his fortress-like villa, Lucian stood before his growing arsenal. Rows of high-powered rifles, explosives, and military-grade equipment filled his storage room.

The system screen appeared before his eyes.

[Supplies Secured: 200 Firearms, 10,000 Rounds of Ammunition, Advanced Armor, Military Vehicles]

[Shelter Reinforcement: 35% Complete]

The countdown to the apocalypse was ticking, and he would be ready.

But first, there was one more loose end to tie up.

The Husband's Last Mistake

Lucian found him in a dark alley, a briefcase of cash in hand, waiting for a "ransom deal" that would never come.

The moment he saw Lucian, he fell to his knees. "Please… I'll give you everything… Just give me my wife back!"

Lucian smirked. "You never deserved her."

A flick of his wrist. A flash of silver. Blood splattered against the pavement.

Weak men had no place in this world.

Lucian turned away, walking into the night. Elena was waiting.

And the apocalypse was only weeks away.
