Chapter 15: Breaking the Last Chain
The heavy steel doors slammed shut behind them, sealing Evelyn inside Lucian's world.
She stood frozen, her violet eyes scanning the lavish villa. Polished marble floors. Leather furniture. Shelves stacked with food, medicine, and weapons.
It was paradise in a world of ashes.
Lucian stepped behind her, his voice smooth. "You're safe here."
Evelyn's fingers twitched. She didn't feel safe. She felt trapped. Like prey caught in a predator's den.

Resistance Dies Here
Lucian circled her, his crimson eyes gleaming.
"I know you're still thinking about running."
Evelyn clenched her jaw. She couldn't lie.
Lucian smirked. "You won't get far. But you can try, if you want."
Her body tensed. A test.
She bolted.
Her boots barely touched the marble before strong arms wrapped around her waist.
She gasped as Lucian spun her, slamming her against the wall. His grip was firm but controlled.
"I gave you a choice. You picked survival." His voice dropped to a whisper. "Now stop fighting me."
Evelyn trembled. "You can't just—"
Lucian leaned in, his breath hot against her skin. "I can."
His fingers trailed down her arm, forcing her to shiver. "You're mine now, Evelyn."
She shuddered, her body betraying her. Fear. Frustration. Something else.
Lucian pulled back, smirking. "Good girl."
Evelyn's knees felt weak.
She hated him.
She feared him.
And yet… she couldn't deny the power he radiated.

A Glimpse of the Future
Lucian turned away, walking toward the grand staircase. "Follow me."
Evelyn hesitated. She still had her pride.
Lucian glanced back, amused. "You don't have a choice."
She grit her teeth and obeyed.
At the top of the stairs, Lucian pushed open a set of double doors, revealing a massive bedroom.
King-sized bed. Dim lighting. The scent of leather and something darker.
Evelyn's pulse quickened. "What now?"
Lucian sat on the edge of the bed, watching her.
Waiting.
Evelyn swallowed. "What do you want from me?"
Lucian tilted his head, his red eyes gleaming. "Everything."
Her breath hitched.
Lucian smirked. "Don't worry, Evelyn. You'll learn to love it."
She shivered.
Because deep down, she knew he was right.
