28. Siren (2)

"Hmmm..." A man opened his eyes, mumbling something; another man beside him looked down at him, "What's the problem, Eni?" He asked his leader.

"I just lost connection with one of my spies," he said, the man beside did not seem surprised, "what's there to be surprised, is a normal occurrence, it's a risky job hiring newbies to search for strong members, sometimes, they might end up killed by this people " Said the man, Eni Nolan, head of the Plague faction nodded in approval, but something seems amiss.

"What was his last image before he died?" Asked the man, Eni smiled, "my, he died in the hands of a beauty," Answered Eni; he looked up at the man; his gaze was void of human feelings, and only madness was left.

The man shook his head at his leader's answer, "What the hell was that going doing? This is why I don't like newbies; they don't do their work properly and end up dying stupidly," Said the man, "so, where did he die?" He incurred, Eni looked behind him, towards where the departed, the flying continent and beyond, towards the ghost sea...

In the ocean, only blood was left, as it formed a pole contrasting with the dark green color of the water, however, it was disrupted as a gang of sirens rushed towards their next target.

"Prepare for battle!" Victor's voice rang out, clear and commanding. His group sprang into action, weapons at the ready, their faces grim with determination. They had heard tales of the sirens' beauty and their deadly allure, but they also knew of their ferocity and hunger.

"You better compel and join us, use your energy weapons, and fight or die, either by their hands or mine!" Warned Victor, he glared at the prisoners who all nodded.

The First of the sirens appeared, her form rising gracefully from the water. Her eyes glowed with a predatory light, and her lips curled into a smile that was both inviting and menacing. She sang, her voice weaving a spell that sought to ensnare the hearts of men.

Ethan raised his sword, its blade gleaming in the light of the mysterious sun glowing in the sky. "Hold fast!" he shouted to his crew, urging them to resist the sirens' call. His own will was ironclad, forged through one year of hardship and battle in the tower. He would not succumb now, not after all the hard work he put himself into.

The sirens attacked with a sudden fury, their lithe bodies moving with unnatural speed. They leaped onto the deck, claws extended, teeth bared. Victor met them head-on, his sword slicing through the air with deadly precision. Around him, his team fought valiantly, their cries mingling with the sirens' song in a cacophony of chaos.

However, it could not be said for the prisoners, as energy weapons as their only means to fight back, they did not last long, we should note that the energy the bracelet gave was directly related to the body condition, a weaker body gave a weaker energy, a stronger one, gave stronger energy.

However, none of the prisoners seemed to be skilled or strong, resulting in their numbers decreasing rapidly from the assault of the Sirens; each time one of them was taken down, his body would be tossed off the ship towards the ocean, never to be recovered.

Ethan's focus was absolute, his movements fluid and precise. He parried a strike from one siren, then spun to deliver a fatal blow to another. The deck was slick with seawater and blood, the air filled with the clash of steel and the screams of the dying.

Ethan fought his way to the bow of the ship. There, he spotted the siren leader, her presence commanding and otherworldly. She was the source of the song, the heart of their power. If he could defeat her, the others might falter.

Their eyes locked, and Ethan felt the full force of her gaze, a cold, calculating intelligence that sought to unravel him.

"Victor!" Shouted Ethan. Victor, slashing at a siren, killing it, turned towards Ethan, "Defend the ship; I will be back!" Said Ethan, Victor was shocked seeing his next move, Ethan immediately plunged towards the ocean, chasing after the Siren's leader.

The siren leader met his attack with a grace that belied her lethal intent. They clashed, the impact reverberating through the ocean and causing a large ripple of water; the ship shook caused by the impact; Ethan pressed forward, each strike fueled by the knowledge that his survival depended on the death of this Siren.

The night gradually came as the battle grew intense with blood and screams all over. The sea was a vast expanse of darkness, the moon casting an eerie glow over the restless waves. Victor stood at the helm of the ship, defending it as much as possible.

"Damn it, those useless bastards!" He roared as he fought desperately to kill as much as possible.

"Victor, they are trying to sink the ship!" Shouted one of his men; Victor's complexion grew ugly, realizing the dreadful situation.

"Defend the deck, the rest follow me!" Commanded Victor, he entered the cabinet, which was already filling up with water, signaling that water was infiltrating the ship from somewhere, "find where the water is coming from and use the woods left to seal it!" He commanded, they had to hurry, "I hope you're still alive Ethan "

Underneath the ship, in the depths of the ocean, a fearsome battle was going on between Ethan and Siren riding a giant shark. The siren's song was mesmerizing, drawing nearby fish and sea creatures towards her.

The siren riding on the shark swam around Ethan, who was fully guarded; he was calm and collected as he made sure to keep his opponent in check; it wasn't the first time he faced a threat underwater.

The shark, sensing prey, lunged forward, its massive jaws wide open. Ethan stood firm, his swords at the ready. With a swift motion, he shot his right sword leviathan towards the shark; it roared with ominous energy towards it; seeing the approaching blade, the shark instinctively dodged.

The blade drew a line on the shark's flesh, causing it to recoil in pain. The siren caught them off guard, and she struggled to maintain her balance on the shark's back.

The shark swam away and drew an arc heading back towards Ethan; it was furious and undeterred. Ethan maintained his cool as he recalled back to Leviathan; he swung the chain towards the shark, and the leviathan, drawing an arc, flew towards the shark.

Boom!

The shark was hit on the abdomen with a fatal wound; it was certain the shark wouldn't make it, but in a last attempt, it bit on the chains and plunged deeper towards the depth of the ocean, dragging Ethan alongside.

Ethan had no plans to accompany the shark to its death; he swiftly shot Halo toward the ship.

Bang!

Firmly embedded on the ship, the shark had no way to drag him down and gave its last breath before sinking; the siren enraged at the death of his companion, swam towards Ethan, aiming at him with a strange trident.

She hissed in anger, her eyes flashing with malevolence. But Ethan was relentless, his determination fueled by the need to get back his breath, he was underneath for too long.

He dodged the attack and held onto the trident, with a powerful swing, he struck the siren across the face, silencing her song.

Seeing her sinking body, Ethan turned towards the ship, holding onto the twin blades and a trident; he swam to the surface.
