A group of boys idiotically strolled their way towards the beast's cave. A dumb way to die.
"Dude I swear he's also in the dorm I saw him going to his room earlier,"
"Stop being a pussy, nothing will happen,"
"Yes, we just need to grab that newbie and get the hell out of there,"
"You think Alpha will let us,"
"Didn't you hear what Marco said earlier? There's zero chance that he cares for the newbie,"
(Inside the dorm)
The said newbie emerged from the restroom with a fresh face but the same old bruises. He sneakily side-eyed the other side of the room, where he wasn't supposed to look, but still, he dared to peek.
His gorgeous sapphire eyes appear tired as if they have been hiding secrets that only he knew for a long time.
They landed on the other mysterious figure. Who had his bare back against the wall, one thick and long leg folded while the other was spread out on the bed, his head lowered, his eyes fixed on the book in his hands, and his muscles flexed all over.
It's really weird to see this pervert reading a book. Eve was so focused on the handsome egoistic man that he forgot about his own clumsy ass for a second and slipped because of his wet feet from the shower. Screaming he tried to grab a nearby bookshelf to try and steady himself, but he still fell after tripping over some scattered books on the floor.
"Tsk! Can you take your annoying ass somewhere else, Fat cheeks?" Alpha's voice was calm yet strong enough as it sounded as if he was growling. Eve winced rubbing his throbbing nose. He wanted to call Alpha out for the mess he had made these books but shut his mouth when he finds Alpha glaring at him.
Eve felt a chill shooting through his nerves and he couldn't help but shudder, feeling stiff under his menacing gaze. Yet, he tried to make his voice firm. "Don't call me that."
He was met with Alpha's amused brow raised. In order to hide his fear and the impact Alpha's lifeless eyes had on him, Eve wanted to look away from him.
However, the devil had already smelled his fear. It tasted like sweet blood.
"What was that?" his smooth, baritone voice made Eve shiver, yet he tried his best to keep his sanity together.
"I said don't call me-" Eve began daringly but was forced to come to a halt when his roommate grunted loudly before getting out of bed and fiercely approaching him, making his breath hitch in fright.
Scared to death Eve began to move backward, but soon found himself trapped between the bookshelves, with an angry dominant male hovering over him, whom he had just provoked. Why can't I keep my mouth shut?
"I'll say whatever the fuck I want or you think that I'd also call you fucking Luna or something?" Alpha stated in a sharp tone. Eve stared back terrifyingly. "You're quite funny."
"I-I have a name," his voice came out in a whimper. The fear in his voice was thick and loud. And so sweet that Alpha could almost taste it if that was even possible.
"And?" Alpha extended his hand leaning forward making Eve flinch, his voice dropping a few octaves. "Look at me?"
Eve jumped when Alpha's cold fingertips brushed against his hot-to-the-touch, soft, and flushed earlobe. Slowly, he raised his trembling eyes to meet Alpha's. And when he looked back at those...no longer lifeless and empty eyes. Eve's blood started to boil as though he was about to melt.
It seems as though Alpha's eyes have come back to life after being dead for once and for good. Shit! He's changing personality again. And when Eve discovered himself falling like a prey once more under that soft gaze, that is what left Eve helpless.
Alpha rubbed his ear lobe with his thumb and finger, he laughed after observing Eve's surprised expression. His lips curved into a smile. It's still very soft, everytime I touch it.
Eve wanted to punch him away but his next words froze him.
"I missed you, Lia," Alpha let out a beaming smile. Eve's stomach churned in sickness and the hair on his skin stands up at the name.
What the hell is happening? He couldn't comprehend anything or Alpha's sudden changed self. But he reasoned with uncertainty that this guy is no longer Alpha, he's more like Willulf he met a few nights back. And how quickly he changed himself gives chills to Eve. But how it is possible, is he mentally sick?
"Why did you take a long time to come back to me?" Alpha whispered with visible pain in his eyes. And Eve had the impression that he was seeing someone else in him. When Alpha left his ear and engulfed him in a tight hug, so tight that Eve could feel his bones crushing, his heart began to pound.
"I'm not-" Eve squinted his eyes while his whole upper body was being squeezed. He could feel Alpha's thundering heartbeats against his own chest, and his eyes burned as everything became blurred. He helplessly rests his head on Alpha's shoulder.
"Thud, thud!" However, A subtle knock interrupted their lovely conversation or whatever was going on between them.
Alpha flinched at the sound, blinking twice, he jolted out of his haze.
Looking at Eve in surprise. "What the hell are you doing?!" he barked, profusely blinking in dread, he rubbed his forehead as if he was losing his mind. Which he was.
"I d-didn't do anything. It was you who-"
Knock.
"I what?" Alpha snarled at him, but didn't let Eve see that he was as confused as him.
"You're a-"
Knock.
He rolled his eyes and glared at the door. "Shut up, go and see who's there."
Eve nodded and walked to the door while fidgeting with his shirt. There stood three boys whom he has never seen before.
"R-River send us to pick you up since he can't come himself," one of them started, eyes sneakingly glancing inside the room. He began to shake in terror praying that he doesn't meet Alpha's eyes but sighed in relief when he found no one behind Eve, he averted them back at Eve.
"Where's he?" Eve asked, finding it a bit suspicious.
"In the cafeteria," Exchanging a glance with his gang he continued, "He doesn't want you to come alone so he send us."
Eve contemplated for a second, he doesn't believe them but there was still the possibility that increases his conflicts. What if he thinks that I don't trust him after doing so much for me? What if he'll feel upset and never talk with me again? Then Sage will not talk with me either. No I need to find out what they're hiding from me.
"Okay, please give me a minute," he nodded and closed the door.
Turning around, he frowned when he didn't see Alpha there, assuming he went to the bathroom, he went to his bed to get his sweater.
He shivered as he could still feel eyes on him, which made him nervous.
Looking up there was no one.
"You really trust River, huh?" he jumped at the sudden voice that came from right behind him. He doesn't want to answer but he'd be dead if he stayed silent. When did he get here?
"I trust Sage," he let out casually.
"And why is that, Fat cheeks?" Eve cringed at the name, still couldn't help but puffed his cheeks.
"Because he cares for me?" he innocently let out, though his reply only confuses himself. He doesn't know who to trust more or who to trust less. "So, I trust him."
"Trust in what? That he can save you in a place full of hungry wolves that are ready to skin you off or trust that…." Eve felt a strong shadow messing with him from behind and the heat increased in the air besides him. "Can he save you from me?"
Alpha spun him around and Eve just stared at him. He didn't say anything, but he could tell that the person in front of him right now is the real Alpha, not a facade that he had just confronted.
"Because I can assure you that no one can save you from me," he smirked and whispered in his ear. "So, be ready to experience hell."
Eve had seen and experienced that River always protects him, but he's not someone to be trusted, whereas Sage shows care and sympathy, but it also appears that he's hiding something as well. Still, he's better than the devil.
"L-Let me go!" Eve pushed him and stared with absolutely terrorised wide eyes at his ominous grinning face, madness dripping from his glistening eyes that seemed filled with filth and evilness.
He couldn't push him much further though, because Alpha was taller and stronger than him. Alpha was amused by his exchanging expressions. Eve tried his best to escape, but the taller male was much faster than him. Alpha yanked him back with his hips, easily turning him and stopping him from running. This made Eve panic and struggle even harder, but his legs gave away when he heard a loud rumbling groan of anger right in his ear, causing him to lose balance and go limp. Alpha was the first to land on the bed, followed by Eve, who landed on top of him.
Eve felt suffocated, but he felt no pain this time. Despite this, a loud whimper escaped his mouth as a result of the shock, which only made the boy beneath him growl in frustration. Eve tried to get up, sensing Alpha's anger but this only caused to move their bodies against each other.
When he felt Alpha's lower body against his own, he froze completely, his eyes widening at the feel of that monstrous thick organ.
"Done feeling my dick?" He flinched at the threatening tone, hands on either side of Alpha's shoulder he trembled like a wet cat.
"I-I wasn't," He was so scared and shocked as if he had seen a grandma doing a backflip and a puppy being murdered at the same time. Nothing in common, but that's how his head was spinning with random chaos.
"Then fucking get up weirdo,"
"S-Sorry," He stuttered out an apology and quickly got off him. Without meeting Alpha's eyes or not wanting to be scolded he picked his sweater.
Alpha is aware that River dislikes sending someone over to call or send information. Because no one could be trusted here, and he was certain River didn't send these boys. Yet, he didn't say anything because he'd rather enjoy the drama from afar.
"You should go, everyone is waiting for you," he amused, getting up and walking towards the mirror. His silver and dark eyes met with Eve through the mirror. "All the best."
Who is everyone? Eve frowned, unable to understand a single word. He resumed putting on his sweater. When he takes his head out of the sweater, he was stunned because there was no one in front of the mirror. What?! Where did he disappear?
He quickly ran to the bathroom in shock because the doors were open and there was dead silence, but no one was there either.
Where did he disappear again?
What shocked him more was that the doors were closed.
Eve creeps out and begins to think about whether he's losing his mind. Was he hallucinating? He rubbed his eyes but nothing happened.
He dashed to the doors and came face to face with the boys. He sighed in relief to think he wasn't going insane because it feels too real to be a hallucination.
"Did you watch him get out of here?" he gulped.
"Who?"
"A-Alpha?"
"Weren't you alone in the dorm?" the guys frowned but then yelled in frightened. "Wait! Was he inside with you? How come we didn't see him? Is he still inside?"
"What?" Eve flinched and started to sweat. The intensity and fierceness of his fear were so dark that his trembling hands hovered over his mouth to restrain himself from breaking down. T-Then who was inside with me-
"Let's go now," the guy grabbed his wrist.
"Wait-" he cried out but they didn't give him any time and snatched him away.
