"Come with me."
Alpha commanded, leaving Eve bewildered and unsure. Confusion clouded Eve's mind as he didn't make an effort to move and stayed frozen on the bed.
Alpha glared at him frustratingly but what stared back at him was a titled face with a slightly furrowed forehead, his wide and innocent sapphire eyes sparkled with curiosity, his lips formed into a small pout due to not understanding what Alpha wanted with him, his nose scrunching ever so slightly while he thinks of how to respond.
Alpha subconsciously titled his head as well, going crazy and forgetting why he asked him that.
But soon the scary devil realised that he was unconsciously imitating the same expression and rolled his eyes. This idiot is driving me crazy!
"Come."
"With."
"Me."
He snapped furiously and impatiently. His frightening voice jolted Eve into action, shaking him out of his daze. Still, before he could move Alpha cursed out loud causing him to scream in fear.
"FUCKING COME HERE BEFORE I DRAG YOUR ASS-"
"Urgh! I'm coming—!"
As they walked, Eve mindlessly followed Alpha to wherever he was taking him. A part of him wanted to ask Alpha where he was taking him, but Eve was too scared to do so. What if he got angry again and beat Eve? He believed that Apha wasn't taking him somewhere remote and then to kill because if he really wanted to kill him, then why would he save him from Marco?
And the judgemental and disgusted glares from the students didn't help his discomfort. His anxiety doubled causing him to gulp in fear and stiffened. He instinctively began to move faster to get out of there but that only caused him to unintentionally bump into Alpha's back. "Ouch!"
His eyes widened in startled. Alpha turned around to give him a cold death glare, causing him to shrink back in fear. "I-I-I…I'm S-Sorry…" Eve tried to apologize but instead made a fool of himself when he couldn't form a full sentence, his eyes darting nervously among the snickering students causing him to feel even more embarrassed.
Alpha's cold and lifeless eyes swept across the crowd at the faint sounds which silent any kind of sound at once, one could not even hear the breaths.
Alpha looked back at Eve, grabbing his wrist and pulling him by his side. "Walk beside me."
The journey after that wasn't difficult and after walking a few more minutes they finally reached their destination as Alpha opened the doors of the rooftop.
A chilling wind greeted them, causing Alpha to shiver. The sky above was dark, a heavy cloud looming ominously as if it was about to rain, as though the sky was sad and ready to shed some tears.
Alpha turned to face Eve. "Do you know why I brought you here?" he asked. Eve stared at him for a moment as Alpha's gaze bore down on him, before shaking his head in genuine confusion.
Not to kill me, right?!
Alpha began to circle around him. Eve's nervous eyes followed him. Alpha found himself bewitched by those crystal eyes. He didn't like the distance between them as the air was chilly and he was feeling cold. He felt an intense desire to pull Eve closer, and wrapped himself in Eve's intoxicating warmth. The allure of this thought was irresistible, and his patience was growing fragile.
Yet, Alpha restrained himself and refocused on the purpose of bringing Eve here. "It's to teach you some moves that could help you fight tomorrow, you got into this because of me so I should take responsibility."
Alpha's piercing gaze never wavered as he continued circling Eve, his movements deliberate and predatory. Eve tried his best to stay calm, but his anxiety was suffocating him. He couldn't shake the feeling that Alpha was just toying with him.
"You're trembling," Alpha stopped behind him, a smirk tugging at the corners of his lips. "Are you always this frightened, or is it just my presence that unnerves you?"
Eve clenched his fists not to show any signs of weakness, even though he was failing miserably. His eyes darted to Alpha's shivering lips. "You're trembling too," he retorted.
Alpha chuckled, his cold breath caresses Eve's ear, sending a shiver down his spine. "That's because you're not cuddling with me, fat cheeks..."
Eve's heart pounded in his chest, and a blush spread across his cheeks. He couldn't deny the undeniable attraction he felt towards this shameless guy, despite the danger that lingered beneath his charismatic facade, but Alpha doesn't need to know that. The sudden rush of heat in his body left him speechless, his words caught in his throat.
"Or maybe because you're just a perve—" Eve halted mid-sentence, momentarily forgetting to whom he was talking.
Alpha's lips curled into a mischievous smile as he continued to press his body against Eve's back, closing the distance between them. His hand slid from Eve's shoulder down to Eve's trembling hand, and entwined his own cold hand around Eve's fingers. The contact sent an electric shock through Eve's body, making his heart thump rapidly.
Alpha's lips softly grazed over Eve's earlobe, causing him to squeeze his eyes and inhale sharply. Alpha smirked in amusement at his reaction. "I like how you know so much about me," Eve's face flushed, his gaze flickering to the ground in an attempt to hide his embarrassment. The butterflies in his stomach fluttered uncontrollably. "But isn't it unfair that I don't know anything about you?"
Eve suddenly jumped at his words, jolting back from his tempting daze. He quickly pushed Alpha away and glared at him in shock.
"Didn't you bring me here to teach me?" The expression Alpha met was hard and serious, the voice that he heard wasn't delicate and scared, and the eyes that glared at him weren't innocent but burning with fire. "So, teach me."
Alpha stared at him for a while before muttering out. Still not ready to talk...I see. "Very well."
As they began, Alpha's stern gaze was fixed upon Eve. "Since Marco is clearly stronger than you, you can't fight him," he made that clear "So, instead don't fight head-on. And just focus on defending yourself, exhaust your opponent, make him chase you for a long time, and look for that perfect strike to hit him."
Eve hesitatingly nodded, though his throat was dry from apprehension.
"Now try to throw a hit," Alpha ordered, but Eve couldn't bring himself to even move his hand let alone hitting him. It's as if his hand was paralyzed.
"If you can't hit me, how will I teach you to dodge a punch?"
Oh, yeah like it's easy to punch a devil like you? Thank you but I love my life.
Still, Eve sheepishly tried but his weak punch was quickly caught by Alpha, who spun Eve into his arms. Alpha held him tightly, he inhaled deeply feeling the body heat of Eve.
"What..are you doing?! Let go---" Eve struggled to break free, but each touch of Alpha sent waves of pleasure through him. Alpha's lips brushed against Eve's neck, igniting his desires further.
As I thought, this jerk is only toying with me.
"Your body is too loose. You don't have any control over your own body," Alpha's voice, now huskier than before. "Have you ever been in a fight? Or threw a punch at anyone?" Eve shook his head, unable to find his voice amidst the overwhelming sensations. Alpha let out an exasperated groan in frustration.
He let go of Eve. "Alright, let's do this instead. Think of someone you hate," Alpha suggested. "Like you just want to kill that person. Imagine that person standing before you instead of me."
Eve's eyes widened in shock at his words and his body began to tremble. Someone...I h-hate? But---he....that person.
Panic gripped him, and his senses became overwhelmed by the sudden noises in his head. Memories of his haunting past flooded his mind, causing his breath to quicken.
"Come here…"
"Don't you want to play with your uncle…"
"Don't be…shy…come here…it won't hurt…you will enjoy it soon…."
Alpha stood frozen as he watched Eve's body giving out in distress, this was the first time Alpha's face had twisted in confusion.
"No…d-don't—-!" Eve's body shook uncontrollably as if he was being attacked. He quickly covered his ears and shook his head, crying out in pain. It seemed like he was feeling something crawling on his whole body, biting his skin and eating him raw.
"Hey, what's happening to you?" Alpha tried to shake his arm but Eve forcefully slapped his hand and pushed him away, causing him to stumble back.
"Don't touch me?!" Eve cried out, his head ringing with the voices from his past. It was clear to Alpha that he was triggered because who could understand these kinds of symptoms better than him?
Still, he wanted to know why his words triggered Eve that he was trembling so badly. Tears streamed down Eve's face, and soon he curled up on the ground, as if he was seeing someone else instead of Alpha.
"D-Don't come near me! P-Please don't touch me!" he begged, hugging himself tightly as if someone would take him away and hurt him.
Eve continued to scream and pushed Alpha away every time he tried to approach him, even managing to punch him in the nose.
"I SAID DON'T TOUCH ME OR I'LL TELL EVERYTHING TO MOM ABOUT WHAT YOU DID TO ME WHENEVER SHE'S NOT HOME!" Alpha was surprised by the strength of Eve's sudden punch.
However, Alpha wasn't angry about the punch. No, he wasn't even thinking about it, he was more focused on the sobbing boy. The sight feels like peering into his own past, a haunting echo of the pain he had also gone through.
And in that moment something shattered inside him.
Mustering the courage he approached Eve once more, and made sure Eve couldn't push him away this time.
"No! Don't touch me!!!!"
"Listen to me! No one's here so they can't hurt you!"
"Let me go!" Eve writhed uncontrollably, but soon his body went limp in Alpha's arms when Alpha pulled him closer, almost in his lap, and pressed his lips against Eve's.
It was not a kiss of romance or desire, but rather a fragile meeting of two broken pieces in a sea of shattered hopes, drowning in an abyss of pain. It was a bittersweet kiss.
But it did wonders. Eve stopped thrashing, or more like froze. And to Alpha's surprise, he even responded to the kiss by moving his lips against Alpha's. Alpha's eyes widened in shock when he felt his heart thundering in his chest. He didn't understand what he should do next or where he should put his hands.
He was about to have a panic attack himself.
But before he could do anything or think about responding back, Eve abruptly pulled away, and the awkward silence surrounded them. Eve was still sitting in his lap, and the only sound that could be heard was his sniffles. Thankfully, it was dark, and they didn't need to face each other.
"W-Why did you...k-kiss me?"
Alpha didn't answer for a while, but he could tell by Eve's voice that he was back to normal. Eve felt even more awkward when he didn't get any answer.
And just when he was thinking about jumping from the building, he heard Alpha.
"Why did you kiss back?"
Yes, jumping from the building indeed sounds like a good idea to Eve right now.
TANG!
The bell could be heard faintly. Suddenly, Alpha's body went heavy in Eve's arms, closing his eyes just like every student in Sunford.
The night was silent, just like the world around them. The night breeze was cold, just like Eve's expression. He wrapped his arms around Alpha's sleeping body and rested his face on top of Alpha's head. His insides twisted with chaos, looking up at the sky, his lips spread into a smile.
"You shouldn't have kissed me."
