"Who am I? Why am I here? Why do I have the same cut on my hand as you, what is my family background blah blah blah! Same Fucking questions everytime!" Eve yelled furiously as his hand getting tighter around Alpha's neck by every second.
Alpha didn't move or try to struggle even though he was barely breathing. Rather he was calm, looking up at Eve who was panting crazily, and at loss of self-control. Seeing the uncontrollable fury in his eyes, a victorious smile crept on Alpha's lips knowing he had finally forced out the real Eve.
This is the real Eve.
Who's former innocent expressions were now twisted into a menacing snarls that oozed madness and danger. It was as if an ominous presence had taken over him turning him into malice.
"Today, you'll see who I am!" His words were intriguing enough to tighten around Alpha's thoughts. "Or no, today you'll see who you are."
Alpha's brow raised further in an amusing expression. "And what exactly is that supposed to mean?"
And then something switched in Eve's eyes and he smirked as well tilting his head. He let go of Alpha's neck and stepped back.
"You gave others the drugs but it seems you're the one who's having the side-effects,"
Alpha's heart seemed to skip a beat, his stomach twisting in response and smile disappearing. He struggled to find his voice, his mind racing to understand the meaning of Eve's words.
Eve's words echoed in his ears. He knows about the..drugs as well.
So, he was right about how his gut feeling that was telling about Eve not being a normal student and hiding about his identity and knowing Alpha from the past.
"Willuf?" Eve suddenly called out which made Alpha flinched. Eve smiled in satisfaction at his reaction. "Willuf…" He called out and again Alpha looked startled. His nerves reacting before his mind could catch up. His eyes widened, and his body instinctively tensed. "It feels like you have heard it before, no?"
The blood seemed to drain from Alpha's face, he let out. "It's my name."
Eve's chuckle dripped with wicked amusement. "Of course it is. But no one calls you that, do they? Not even your family, not even Nick. Don't you find that strange?"
Alpha's throat felt dry, his pulse pounding in his ears. "So, what? I was the one who told you about it. What are you trying to say here?"
"I already knew about it before you told me," Eve confessed.
Alpha didn't respond and only frowned. Seeing his reading, Eve's wicked grin deepened as he leaned in to whisper in his ear. "That's because there are only two people who know that name. You, of course, and..." He paused, pulling back his gaze, locking onto Alpha's with an intense wickedness. "Any guesses who the second person is?"
Alpha's expression changed into stunned, his heart thundering. "You.." he breathed out, increasing Eve's smile. "You're the second person."
Eve's sinister satisfaction beaming through his smirk. "What if I tell you I was the one who gave you this name?"
Alpha began to tremble at the chilling confirmation, his head was heavy and entire body shivering from the cold. He felt quite overwhelmed.
His hands shook and pulled Eve by his arms, their faces close enough to share the same breath, while yelling in his face with rage. "You're lying! Who are you, tell me?! How do you know me and why were you playing all this time?!"
His fingers digging into Eve's arms. Eve kept on smiling viciously while Alpha was having a hard time understanding anything.
"Lies or truth, it hardly matters now," Eve said. "You have exposed me so why are you still so angry."
While Alpha's sanity was draining out, Eve's fingers slid down Alpha's pocket. He shoved Alpha back, who stumbled and collapsed onto the bench.
Alpha watched his knife gleaming in Eve's hand which he sneakily took out of his pocket.
"I'll show you who you are," He said before turning his attention to the forgotten guy on the floor, who was caught in their deadly game. His eyes widened in dread when he realised that he was now a part of their dramatic scene.
He quickly got up, by now he realized that something really dangerous was going on here. "I'm sorry, dude. I came here because A-Alpha called me." he watched in fear Eve swirling the knife between his fingers.
But Eve's voice was more sharp than the knife in his hand. "Where are you going? You heard and saw everything so you can't run away?"
And then, in an instant before the guy could understand anything, before Alpha could take another breath, the sound of steel slicing through the flesh filled the air.
Time seemed to stop but the rhythm of strokes after strokes, splattering the area with raw blood, were enough to shatter the world. Guttural cries and gut-wrenching screams echoed through the walls but there was no one to care about them.
The guy's gasps turned into gurgles and throwing up blood, yet Eve mercilessly stabbed his guts deeper and deeper. "Curiosity comes at a cost."
The words were directed to a certain someone who was watching him from behind without blinking.
Tension wasn't just a feeling anymore, it was a living, breathing entity, suffocating Alpha's senses and forcing to differentiate whether what he was seeing was real.
In the midst of his brutality, Eve let go of the dead guy after one last strike. The dead body fell on the ground while Eve inhaled in the blood like a menace.
He turned around, eyes locking with Alpha who sat frozen, like he was paralysed, hypnotised with the scene. It was as if he was mesmerised but without showing any emotion.
His eyes darted down to Eve's hand that was gripping the knife, blood dripping from it, as well as his clothes and face. Eve looked possessed, he looked like a demon. The metallic scent of the blood satisfying his addictions.
Eve's face twisted in pleasure, a raw and strange pleasure, his eyes reflecting a sinister euphoria. The blood staining his clothes and skin seemed to fuel his madness, assaulting the aura of darkness that surrounded him.
"Ha ha!" Suddenly, he laughed. A cold and mocking laugh. "You're turned on, darling." He told Alpha, voice seductive, dripping with a sadistic glee.
Alpha didn't take his eyes off him. Eve smirked. "See, this is who you are," he slowly began to walk towards him. "This excites you, doesn't it? Gets your blood pumping. Make your dick hard,"
Coming to a halt in front of Alpha, he leaned down to his face level. His hand reached out and rested on Alpha's cheek, staining it red as well. But Alpha didn't mind it.
He dropped the knife and grabbed Alpha's hard member before squeezing it.
"You're a bloodthirsty psychopath, who finds pleasure in the sufferings of others. Now see, what I have to do for your pleasure's sake. I killed the poor guy. Now take responsibility."
Alpha's face twisted in disgust and his fist connected with Eve's jaw. Rising up he breathed heavily. However, before he could react further, Eve's hand struck back, giving him a tight slap leaving a burning sensation on his cheek.
"You fucking piece of shit," Eve growled. Alpha glared at him through his burning eyes, his nostrils flaring, he was in an attacking mode. But before he could do so Eve yelled out.
"Willuf, sit down." And just like that Alpha sat unconsciously, following the command robotically. He was stunned with himself as to why he followed Eve's command.
Eve chuckled dryly. "That's who you are! You think you're strong but in reality, you're just like a machine whose only aim is to follow commands. A mere dog, capable of nothing more than sitting, standing, barking, and biting."
Alpha's eyes were burning but he wasn't angry. No, he was flabbergasted, he was confused and he was infuriated. Eve's words were like a stab of reality to him and he couldn't believe how Eve seemed to know all this with so much accuracy.
And for the first time he seemed scared.
Eve took a step closer and Alpha stumbled back. Eve's eyes widened seeing Alpha getting nervous because of him. He quickly grabbed Alpha's arms and hugged him, staining his clothes as well.
"Did I scare you, love?" He let out in fear. His unexpected hug was torturous for Alpha, but he still couldn't figure out why his tensed mind relaxed slightly against his will. Eve rests his head on his shoulder. "I'm sorry, it wasn't my intention to scare you."
Eve understands that of course Alpha will be terrified, because he's not in his typical scary frame right now. Eve had been throwing all of his pills away ever since he had become Alpha's roommate, which means Alpha wasn't taking any drugs, which generally messes with his senses and makes him a dangerous killer.
"You're so confident that everyone in this school is afraid of you, aren't you? But if they find out how weak you are, they'll treat you terribly. No! I'm not going to let it happen." He pulled back and looked in his eyes.
Alpha could see how crazy he appeared, completely out of it.
Alpha stood still, not reacting at all, and didn't even react when Eve slammed his lips to his and began kissing. But he did not return the kiss. Instead, he pushed Eve, who stumbled back.
Eve was shocked, unable to believe that Alpha just pushed him away. He glared at him. "Did you just…just pushed me away?" He suddenly clutched his own chest. "Ouch, it hurts so bad. The pain of rejection, I can't bear it."
Then he suddenly burst out laughing. Laughing like a maniac, like a…psycho.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" Alpha barked furiously.
Eve stopped laughing and looked back at him.
"What's wrong with me? No, what is wrong with you? Why did you push me away? You're hard, let me kiss you all over and take care of it?" His voice trembled in desperation and anger when Alpha didn't respond. "Don't you want to kiss me anymore, Will?" He slowly began to walk towards him and Alpha began to walk back.
Alpha came to a stop when he reached the pool, but Eve wasn't ready to stop.
"Tell me why you don't want to kiss me anymore? Do you find me disgusting now? Do you prefer that weak and soft Eve who is innocent and pure?" He grabbed Alpha's collars. "Should I become that innocent version of me? Is that what you want? Tell me! Dammit, I said tell me!"
"Let go of me!" Alpha fought but Eve didn't budge, he was thousands of times more powerful than Alpha. Not a weak and fragile Eve anymore.
"But don't you desperately want me to show who I really am. What happened now? Why are you not happy? Why are you treating me so rudely?! Why, why?!" He cried like a child, a dangerous level of possessiveness taking over me. "Or do you prefer that guy over me now? But see, he's dead so you can't be with him. I killed him and I'll kill anyone who'll come between me and you. You're mine!"
Saying that he pushed Alpha who fell backwards in the pool.
"Hey—!" The shock of the cold water against his already cold skin was a brutal reminder of reality. He gasped in the water when his legs were unable to find the ground.
"Oops! I forgot that you don't know how to swim," Eve gasped and slapped a hand on his mouth. "I'm so sorry Alpha-I mean Will! Oh, do you know that about yourself? If not, let me tell you another thing about you. You don't know how to swim because you were always scared of lakes and rivers."
He smiled seeing Alpha struggling and fighting to come up. His hands and legs were continually fighting each other, but it was all in vain.
Eve just stood there and watched him, indifferent, while he drowned. His sapphire eyes sparkled like gems, but they lacked empathy.
Alpha's battle for air continued, his body thrashing against the freezing water in a desperate attempt to break from its icy grip. Eve watched as his smile widened. "It's your punishment for bringing that boy here."
But just as quickly his face twisted again, and his angry expression transformed into his charming and adorable face. His eyes were filled with trepidation and anxiety.
"Oh no! H-How did you fall…Oh my god! What should I-I do…should I call R-River for help? I'm sure he can help me–pfft-" His laughter followed his sharp mocking. "You want me to act like that, huh?"
Yet, when Alpha called out for someone else instead of him, his smile froze.
"Lia! Please…sa-save me!"
This angered Eve to no end. He jumped in as well. He intended to take control, to save Alpha but found himself surprised when Alpha instinctively clung to him, their bodies intertwining.
This satisfied Eve but Alpha's words sure didn't. Alpha keeps on crying for Lia.
With an angry groan, he grabbed Alpha's hair and forced their gaze to meet. "Look at my face and tell me who I am," he demanded.
Alpha hugged him, desperately trying to cling to him. His voice was a broken whisper, while his vision was blurring. Yet, he managed to cough out. "E-Eve."
Eve smiled lovingly, picking him up with ease and wrapping his legs around his waist. "Yes, that's right. I'm Eve, not Lia, and not any other fucker."
Alpha buried his face in his shoulder, breathing heavily, extremely shivering. Eve continued. "I belong to you, and you belong to me. No one can take you away. I'll destroy everything, kill anyone who tried to steal you from me. I have lost you once and I can't lose you again. I'll burn this goddamn school if they try to take you away from me again,"
Alpha's breaths were shallow, his lips were turning blue, and his body was growing weaker by the second. Clinging to Eve as if he were a lifeline, he managed to force out a question amidst his fading consciousness. "Wh-Who are you?"
Eve couldn't speak, but the raw emotions in his eyes were screaming all the answers yet Alpha was not in the position to read them. Eve whispered.
"I'm the reason you're still alive. And because you're breathing I decided to live as well for you."
