Amanda left first, so she wasn't idle. As soon as she got home, Mrs. Solis dragged her to get her hair done and makeup done in preparation for tonight's party.
Amanda is basically not very excited about this party because at the party tonight she will meet someone she doesn't want to meet.
The dinner party was held at a famous 5-star restaurant in the North. Tonight, only two families were invited to dinner, so there were no more than ten people.
Amanda, wearing a graceful dress, walked behind Mrs. Solis sat at the table. On the left were Solis' family, and On the right were the Harris family.
Mr. Harris sat in the chair, opposite her was Javier, a family of three.
As soon as she sat down, there was a line of eyes looking intently in her direction, or more accurately, looking at Amanda's mother next to her.
In the somewhat strange space, Amanda leisurely looked at that person, only to see that he was over forty, his face was seven or eight points similar to Javier's, his eyes seemed to glow as he looked at Mrs. Solis.
"Mr. Harris hasn't seen me for a long time but his personality is still the same, right?"
Kevin Solis looked at Dylan Harris with a fake smile on his face. From the moment he entered, he looked at his wife until he wanted to pop his eyes out.
Dylan, after a moment of distraction, also heard that Kevin had another meaning in his words. He just smiled lightly and replied:
"It's the same, Mr. Solis here is not much different from before."
Kevin snorted softly, this foul-mouthed old fox really is getting more and more powerful! He was about to retaliate with two or three sentences when Milena next to him spoke up and interrupted him.
"Okay, today is about the two kids' marriage.
It's not the time for you two to gossip about old times."
After speaking, she gently turned her eyes towards the woman who had been silent next to Dylan Harris all this time, and softly asked:
"Am I right, Mrs. Harris?"
Tiffany Harris arrogantly looked at Milena Solis with her lips slightly raised, her sharp eyes like a blade sweeping straight towards her.
"Mrs. Solis is right. When you're an adult, you should know how to keep your mouth shut."
"Okay, let's all gather together and have a nice meal. The matter of the two children's marriage hasn't been discussed yet."
Mr. Harris slammed his stick on the floor a few times to stop the four people who were about to fire from there.
Dylan and Tiffany, who had just returned from a trip, were brought here by him. They thought it had been decades and they would understand better, but as soon as they met, they teased and teased each other.
Tiffany heard Mr. Harris say that, but his scrutinizing eyes with a bit of contempt shifted to Amanda.
"What else is there to discuss, Dad? Amanda doesn't want to be embarrassed, so she asked not to hold the wedding?"
Amanda raised her head and calmly looked at the three people sitting opposite. Javier kept his head down and did not participate.
While Tiffany and Dylan each looked at her with hate and love, Amanda couldn't help but secretly laugh coldly in his heart.
In the previous life, it was because of Tiffany's resentment and Dylan's unusual love for her that they created a knife that caused Javier to push her entire family to death.
Why? Because Dylan loves her mother, not his mother.
Mrs. Solis heard the criticism of her daughter in Tiffany's words. She got angry, she smiled faintly and asked:
"Tiffany, are you talking without thinking? It was Mr. Harris who personally brought the bride price." Not like I went to the Harris house to ask for Quentin's hand in marriage. Also, my child is not pregnant enough to ask someone else to marry her. So where does the shame come from?"
Because Tiffany was pregnant with Javier, she was brought into the door by the Harris family. Mrs. Solis poked her in a sore spot, her face turned grim and she snorted coldly.
"If you're not embarrassed, why don't you hold a wedding so everyone knows who your child is marrying?"
Going back and forth with her son ended up sleeping with his uncle, whose morals were no different from Mrs. Solis's.
Mrs. Solis, on the other hand, was so angry that he burst out laughing, saying:
"What happens if you marry anyone? Do you the Harris family live thanks to the eyes of others?"
Acting like your child is very good, you don't even know how many women he's been hanging out with outside.
Amanda silently swallowed her saliva, her mother's fighting ability was truly superior.
Before she even opened her mouth to say a word, she cursed the whole family to their faces.
Amanda glanced slightly at Javier and sure enough, his face was dark and scary. She frowned slightly and reached out to press her mother's hand as she still wanted to continue speaking.
"Mom."
She called softly and shook her head, because in the future her daughter would become someone else's daughter-in-law. Milena could only restrain herself from arguing with Tiffany anymore.
Amanda silently breathed a sigh of relief, his eyes suddenly discovering that there was a piece of fish meat in the bowl.
"My sister-in-law is usually not at home so I don't understand everything. Please don't be angry."
With a low but magnetic voice, Quentin smiled very naturally, put a piece of fish meat into Mrs. Solis's bowl, and continued:
"There's no need to discuss the wedding anymore, just leave it as Amanda's wishes. Anyway, miss.
" She's my wife, not someone else's, so there's no need to introduce herself to anyone."
A sharp, iron-clad sentence made everyone momentarily silent, unable to refute.
Seeing that the space was quiet, Quentin was very satisfied and turned the steamed fish dish towards Amanda.
"You should try this dish, it's quite delicious."
Amanda smiled and silently ate her fish. As expected, Quentin Harris only spoke a few words. Looking at Tiffany's pale and white face, she couldn't help but laugh.
After trying to finish an unhappy meal, everyone went home and Amanda was held back by Quentin.
Slowly strolling together on the busy main street for a while, Quentin softly called out:
"Amanda."
Amanda stopped and looked up at him.
"What's up?"
She didn't know what was wrong with this uncle that he was still taking her out to catch the night breeze like this at almost midnight.
Quentin smiled, reached out and grabbed her hand, placing a sparkling diamond ring on it.
Amanda was a little surprised and reflexively wanted to withdraw his hand, but he held it tightly, his low voice rang in his ear:
"Mandy, this is our wedding ring."
