Nyx giggled as she launched herself forwards to a small group of wolves and kobolds while Luna followed quickly from behind. Lily twirled her staff with a flourish before slamming it down, causing small wooden spikes to sprout beneath the feet of some of the wolves.
"Arghgt!"

The injured wolves had their movements impaired and they were unable to assist the nearby kobolds as both Horo and Leo charged towards them. Leo jumped in the air towards his target, spinning before backhanding the kobold with his shield

The heavy sound of metal against its skull caused it to stagger, unsteady on it's feet as Horo dove in close and drove his dagger into the throat of the stunned kobold.

[Level 3 Kobold Grunt Defeated]
Sonata looked around frantically before she spread her wings, determination flashing across her face as she jumped. With a flap of her wings, she became airborne, allowing her to get a better view of everything.
Taking a deep breath, she opened her mouth and began to sing:
"Weighed down by gravity
Yet here I fly so free
I shall soar, never too low
The world moves on below"

[Enemies Agility lowered by 5%].
It felt like there was a gust of wind behind their backs, allowing them to move a bit faster while the monsters seemed to be weighed down by something.
Leo looked up in surprise hearing the beautiful melody and seeing Sonata practically hovering in the sky like some sort of angel.
"Good work Sonata!"
He called out as he returned to the fight, leaving the wolves for Horo while he focused on the remaining Kobolds around him.
Lily too glanced up and sighed
"She really does have a nice voice~"
She mused, before shaking her head and returning to the fight. A split second later, a rustling above made her eyes widen—too late.
In her moment of distraction, a Kobold jumped down from a nearby tree, swinging its rough iron blade at Lily's head.
[Blocked!]
Now is NOT the time to be distracted Lily"
Leo groaned as he caught the blade between his two gauntlet shields, protecting her from harm.
"S-Sorry Leo. It won't happen again!"
Lily was slightly embarrassed at her momentary slip up, she had been too focused on Sonata and the kobolds on the ground to notice the one that had attempted to assassinate her. She readied her staff to prepare to deal with the monster when it's head suddenly exploded.

Sonata too was surprised that her skill [Dissonant Shriek] had shot out like an invisible bullet, striking the now dead Kobold. She felt nausea rising up in her throat. Her voice was meant to bring joy, not death. Yet, here she was, killing with a song.
'No. I can't throw up here. My party members still need me!'
To her it looked like Horo, Leo and Lily had the situation under control as they systematically began to wipe out the monsters that approached them with relative ease.
'Huh? Where's Luna and Nyx…Oh my god…'
Sonata glanced around looking for the other 2 girls of her party but words failed her when she caught sight of them through the treetops a short distance away.
Luna's grin stretched wide, eyes alight with wild exhilaration. Streaks of blood coated her like war paint, her massive axe cleaving through fur and flesh alike.
The dissonance between her small frame and massive bloody weapon even instilled fear in some of the monsters.
Yet none of them could run away as every single one that tried had their skulls bashed in by the monkey like woman who was toying with them. Nyx's staff was coated in a dark sticky substance like ink and it seemed to eat away at any monsters that she struck.
Even still, these monsters who tried to flee thought Nyx was the easier of the two to deal with and charged at her.
Sonata was about to let loose another shriek to help out when her jaw nearly dropped. Nyx twirled between strikes with an almost lazy grace, giggling as if playing a game. Blades and claws whiffed past her, never quite touching, as if she was dancing through the chaos of the battle itself.
"Come on Boys. You can swing harder than that can't you. You might hit me if you try a little bit harder~"
Nyx's taunting giggle seemed to enrage the beasts as their attacks became more and more reckless. Yet Nyx had the leisure to yawn as she dodged.
The Kobold in front of her snarled in utter rage and raised it's sword high in order to strike down the annoying monkey girl before it. However a chill went down it's back.
'Why was it trying to fight the monkey? It was trying to run from the bloodthirsty rabbit behind it.
Yet it was too late for regrets as a massive axe dug into it's side briefly before it's body was split in two at the waist.
Nyx's expression was complicated as she took a step back to dodge the blow as well. Was Luna trying to kill her too?!
"Hey Cutie! You almost hit me there! That would have hurt if you hit me~!"
"Tch!"
Luna clicked her tongue in disapproval as she shot Nyx an angry glare.
'This lil shit was actually aiming for me?!'
Nyx's eye twitched as she tried to come to terms with the fact that Luna had just tried to accidentally kill her…on purpose.
Leo himself felt a sense of exhilaration as he fought using his claws and legs to deal devastating blows. However he had a momentary lapse in focus when a notification screen appeared in front of his eyes.

He had almost forgotten about it, the Zodiac Bond system had been silent since he received the Beast Element Gem from his connection with Luna.
A sense of anticipation began to grow within him at the thought of growing stronger than he already was. His gaze shifted to Sonata who was continuing to sing in the sky, providing the party with buffs.
It was time to see if he could give wings to the Winged Singer.
