Unlike the cold and heartless Alec I had known.
This familiar Alec appeared, and I froze in shock.
"Serenity, I'm bleeding!"
Alec strode up to me, lowered his head, and hugged me tightly.
"Darling, did you like our wedding?"
Wedding?
I smiled, tears rushing out of my eyes.
"Alec, we won't have a wedding anymore."
As I finished speaking, a sharp pain shot through my head, and everything went black as I fainted.
When I woke up again, it felt like I had slept for a century.
Someone was holding my hand tightly.
"Serenity, I was wrong......"
Alec, with his scruffy beard, kept mumbling apologies.
I felt nothing inside, and expressionlessly pulled my hand away.
"Serenity, you're awake?"
"Alec has regained his memory!"
"That Scarlett has been sentenced to prison too!"
My mother-in-law held Eames, her face full of joy.
I, however, felt as if I had finally been set free.
"Mom, I want to take my parents' ashes back to Chicago."
