Chapter 8

The Everhart Group's influence in the country is far-reaching, so I'm not at all surprised they have my flight information.

Felicity walked up to me and stood still, holding a diamond ring and a bouquet of fresh flowers.

"Alec, we've both waited too long for these fireworks. Today, I've brought them to you."

"Let's get married. I'm here to take you home. Let's go back together."

Looking at the woman in front of me, I felt nothing, not even a ripple of emotion. In fact, I almost wanted to laugh.

"Felicity, we haven't had a home for a long time."

"Go back? What for? To watch you and Draven continue your affair in front of me? To see you passionately kissing him on the couch? Or perhaps to continue being the despised loser?"

A flicker of panic flashed in Felicity's eyes, and she hurriedly denied it.

"It's not like that, Alec. The first time, he seduced me. He drugged me. I didn't mean to..."

At this point, Felicity's shoulders tensed, as if she's just realized something.
