Amanda's Pov:
Four years later:
The aroma of freshly brewed coffee wafting through the air, enticing the senses of everyone as they walked into my cozy coffee shop. I beamed with pride, surveying the renovated interior.
"Oh my days Amanda! This looks beautiful" Naomi, my closest friend and number one customer walked into the coffee shop, her eyes trying to take in as much as it could in a few seconds.
I smiled, feeling a sense of accomplishment. "Thanks, Naomi! I'm glad you like it." I moved behind the counter, expertly brewing her favorite coffee.
"I love the new interior, I love what you've done with the place" Her neck still tuning from left to right, her smile growing wider.
"Your order is ready!" I tried to get her attention.
"Oh thank you" It worked. She claimed the cup from me, relaxing into one of the chairs in front of the counter. "This is so beautiful Amanda!".
"Thank you Naomi, I just thought the place needed a new look, it's been four years already, I got tired of one boring look" I smiled back.
"You inspire me Amanda, you're so strong and independent, I want to be as strong as you one day" Naomi pulled a seat and made herself comfortable, meaning she was going to be here for long.
"I'm only alive because your people accepted a young, frustrated, pregnant young lady. I have all that I have because of the opportunity this pack gave me" I smiled at another customer, taking my gaze off Naomi for a second.
"Now tell me how are my favourite triplets?" Naomi's eyes disappeared in her smile.
"They are doing very well, and Kendall now says your name very often" I laughed, returning my attention to her.
The look on Naomi's face shifted all of a sudden, like she just realized something "Amanda!".
"Yes" I answered wondering what I said or did wrong.
"I heard you left your precious son and daughters in the hands of Nora Alli! Nora Alli the omega" She exaggerated her words with disgust smeared all over her face.
"Why do they all hate the poor omega girl?" I asked myself.
"And what's wrong with hiring an omega as a babysitter?" I asked Naomi.
"Nora is not just any omega, she's cursed!" Naomi's face got more serious.
"She's unfortunate, her parents died mysteriously and I just heard nothing good comes out of her clan, of everyone in this town you chose Nora! To babysit your triplets! Nora! The unfortunate Omega!" Her voice got more serious with each word.
"I don't think there's anything wrong with Amanda's decision" Christopher walked in right on time, he is always on time.
"Hey Amanda!" Christopher threw a flirty wink at me, his voice low and husky
"Well I'm just saying, but if you guys are sure about her I'd hold my peace". Naomi took a forced sip out of her cup.
"Well I have to head to work now, I'll be late. I'll leave you two love birds alone" Naomi announced, waving us as she walked out of my coffee shop.
I know she only did that because she's not comfortable with our PDA.
Christopher strode over to me, his eyes burning with intensity. "How are you doing my princess?" he whispered, his lips brushing against my ear.
"It's two years today" I said leaning closer to him.
"How can I forget the day I met the most wonderful woman" he leaned in closer and claimed my lips.
I found a new love and a renewed hope in Christopher, for a long time I thought the moon goddess had forgotten about me until that faithful day I saw Christopher.
It was a sunny afternoon and I was trying to go see Lina at her new apartment, I went with flowers and somehow Christopher bumped into me and ruined my flowers, but at that moment it wasn't the flowers I thought about, I wondered how it was that he glowed from within.
He picked up the flowers and apologized to me, there was something about his brown eyes, I was stunned for a minute and then it hit me, the moon goddess sent him to me.
Being with Christopher made me so happy, and what I loved the most about him was his patience and the love he showered on my kids.
Christopher understood all I had gone through and wasn't in any rush for marriage, my Christopher, my perfect boyfriend.
"I have a surprise for you" He held my hands as I walked across the counter to sit beside him.
My heart skipped a beat as I felt a shiver run down my spine. "What is it?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.
Christopher's smile grew wider. "You'll have to wait until tonight to find out," he teased.
I playfully rolled my eyes. "I'm not sure I can wait that long," I laughed.
Christopher chuckled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "You'll just have to," he said, his voice low and husky.
"I can't start my day without seeing you, and now that's done I have to head back to the hospital" He placed a peck on my forehead, then my neck, my shoulder and finally my lips.
"I love you!". I breathed.
"I'll see you at six my princess" He placed one last peck on my lips and walked out.
He gave me goosebumps every time.
I yanked out my phone and dialled Nora's number.
"Hello Nora," I said first.
"Hello ma'am, I can hear you" Nora responded.
"How are the kids!".
"They are very fine ma'am, Kendall and Kyle are asleep right now but Kylie is still running around".
"That's good" I laughed "Well I just wanted to inform you that I'll be picking them up much later in the evening not in the afternoon as planned'
"That won't be a problem ma'am" Nora replied over the phone.
I said goodbye and hung up, and for the rest of the day, I could only think about my date.
A couple of hours later:
Christopher knew how to create magic, he knew just how to bring out the magic in everything. He knew how to make me feel special and loved.
I didn't want the date to end, but it did.
Christopher outdid himself with the bracelet he gifted me, it was made of emeralds, and it glowed and made my sink pop. I only cry tears of joy when I'm with him.
He also loved the sandals I got him.
"We are here" Christopher packed in front of Nora's house.
"Let's get them together, I'm sure they'll be sleeping by now" I unbuckled my seat belt and pulled the handle of my door.
"Wait I'll get that" Christopher hurriedly got out of the car and opened the door for me. We kissed for another minute before we walked into Nora's yard.
I first sensed something was off when I saw all the bulbs in her house turned on from the windows, if anything my Kylie will never sleep with the lights on and it's rather unusual that she wasn't asleep by eleven p.m.
The next thing that heightened my senses was that the front door was wide open, I rushed into the house only to see the most traumatic scene in my life.
I wanted to scream, but I couldn't, I simply placed my hand over my mouth and said a prayer in my heart for my innocent children.
I saw Nora lying lifeless in the pool of her blood, I crashed to the floor, my heart pounding against my chest.
Christopher ran into the house and within another minute he ran out.
He held a paper, a red cloth and a sword. Nothing could have prepared me for what he said next.
"The kids are gone!"
