New World, Gaia.

Star GAIA / Year 2045~

It was a regular day. People rushed to work, honked their horns in traffic, and checked their phones absentmindedly as they walked down bustling streets. The world moved forward as it always had, indifferent to the struggles of individuals.

Then, without warning, the sky shattered.

A deafening, earth-shaking rumble erupted from above, like the sound of mountains colliding. The clouds, the vast expanse of blue, and even the light itself cracked like fragile glass. The fractures spread in jagged lines, revealing a terrifying void beyond the cosmic expase that defied comprehension.

Panic set in.

Screams filled the air as people pointed at the sky, their faces twisted in terror. Some fell to their knees, praying, while others ran without direction, as if fleeing from an inevitable apocalypse. Governments scrambled to make sense of the phenomenon, issuing emergency broadcasts urging people to stay indoors, but fear was an unstoppable force.

And then it happened.

A voice, neither male nor female, neither mechanical nor organic, reverberated across the world. It resonated within every living being, a sound that did not pass through ears but was instead etched into their very souls.

[Congratulations! The civilization of Gaia has finally exceeded its star limit. Earth has been upgraded from an unranked star civilization to the lowest-level star civilization.]

The world froze. For a brief moment, even fear was overtaken by confusion. Nobody understood what was happening for the time being as the voice continued it's ramblings.

[Automatically qualifying the world to participate in the Multiversal Lowest Star Ranking Battle.]

[The world will be invaded by Chaos Deviants after a 20 year protection period. Please be prepared to defend yourselves. ]

Even when stricken with panic eveone knew the words were absolute. They could not be dismissed as hallucinations or a bizarre scientific anomaly. They were a proclamation from something far beyond human understanding.

[Gaia's dominant ruling race: Humans.]

[Granting the dominant race "Lord's Qualification" to improve their realms. Releasing body limits.]

[Granting the world "Battle Dimensions" for lords to refine and increase their strength.]

With the final declaration, the shattered sky mended itself in an instant, as if time had reversed. The cracks vanished, and the abyss beyond was sealed once more. But the damage had been done, humanity had stepped into a new era.

The Aftermath~

Governments worldwide were thrown into chaos. Presidents, kings, and prime ministers called for emergency summits, but for the first time in history, the conflict between nations took a backseat. No longer was it about politics, borders, or ideology. A new reality had dawned: Gaia was no longer just Gaia anymore.

At first, the phenomenon was met with skepticism. Some scientists theorized it was mass hysteria, an unknown military experiment, or an advanced AI playing a cruel prank. But their doubts were crushed when the first awakenings occurred.

Individuals from all walks of life businessmen, students, beggars, soldiers began experiencing Lord's Awakening. They felt an overwhelming surge of power, their souls binding to strange, floating territories in an unseen dimension. These "realms" were fragments of a greater battlefield, areas they could shape and control, worlds of their own that could be expanded and strengthened.

Governments moved swiftly, capturing and studying the newly awakened Lords. At first, they treated them like test subjects, but as more people awakened across the globe, it became clear: this was not a choice. It was evolution.

By the second year, Lords had become the backbone of society. Their realms were no longer just personal domains, they were the key to humanity's survival. Governments formed special training institutions, militarizing the Lords and funneling resources into their development.

Year after year, the number of Lords grew. What was once considered rare became common. By the tenth year, nearly every human had ventured into the battle dimensions appeared in their respective countries.

These battle dimensions consisted countless kingdoms which the participans as the lords have to defeated or wipe out to obtain various resources, items, structures, or confidants as summons as rewards to level up their own territories.

The destroyed kingdoms/ dynasties would respawn again before someone else again. It was an enless loop to be taken advantage of by Lords to increase their combat experience.

The realm level of the lord would decide the opponent the lord faces in the battle dimension which was mortal realm at the time. The lost troops of the lord would regenerate after exiting the battle dimension.

Many developed some level of connection to the mysterious Battle Dimensions. Entire civilization had reshaped themselves around these newfound powers, training for the inevitable war that loomed on the horizon.

And then, the twentieth year approached. Tthe First Invasion began as the protection period ended.

The ground trembled as cracks formed across the earth. Portals, pitch-black and swirling with chaos, materialized across the continents. From within, grotesque figures emerged, The Chaos Deviants.

They were abominations, beings of pure destruction, with twisted bodies that defied logic. Some bore gaping maws filled with endless rows of teeth; others had too many limbs, their forms shifting as if reality itself struggled to contain them. Their eyes burned with malice, and their presence alone twisted the very air around them.

The first wave was brutal. Cities were overrun in mere hours, their defenses crumbling against the onslaught. The Lords, the supposed protectors of humanity, fought back with everything they had, but for many, it was their first real battle. Fear led to hesitation, and hesitation led to death.

The Deviants showed no mercy.

The world, which had spent two decades preparing, realized that preparation was never enough. Entire nations suffered heavily within days. The chain of command disintegrated. Survival became the only priority.

But in the darkest moments, heroes emerged.

Some Lords, those who had reached new realms of power as they killed Chaos deviants, turned the tide. They stood at the frontlines, wielding unimaginable strength, cutting down hordes of Deviants with a single motion.

Their names became legends, symbols of defiance against the chaos that sought to consume their world. Their efforts motivated others to fight back.

The war for Gaia had truly begun.

After months of relentless battle, humanity managed to reclaim its lost ground. What was once a scattered effort transformed into an organized resistance. The surviving Lords formed alliances, uniting under a single banner: The GDA 'Gaia's Defense Alliance.'

This coalition did not care for past rivalries or nationalities. It had only one purpose, to ensure that Gaia endured. The Lords, now hardened by war, trained the next generation with merciless efficiency. The weak either grew stronger or perished.

As the battles raged on, humanity learned something terrifying, the Chaos Deviants were evolving. They were adapting, growing stronger, changing with each encounter. What was once a simple battle for survival became a never ending war of attrition.

But humanity, too, had evolved.

With each battle, the Lords pushed the limits of their realms. Their battle dimensions expanded, their abilities sharpened, and their power soared beyond anything the old world had ever known.

The world's civilization was booming at the speed seen never before. Even space travel became common with time.
