Chapter Four

Adrien leapt up to avoid the large tail swung at him. He ran towards the desert scorpion and sliding underneath he forced his metal dagger up the scorpion`s abdomen. It gave a loud shriek of pain and after a bit of thrashing about, it fell down on the desert sand dead.

Adrien could feel himself getting stronger as he stood in front of the dead scorpion.

Adrien was so close to leveling up that he immediately went looking for his next beast. He spotted another beast in the distance which seemed to be dead. Next to it was a smaller beast similar to the hybrid between a lizard a dog and a rat, giving it a hideous appearance. It was feeding on the carcass of the beast`s corpse and looked to be weak. He decided to kill it and after equipping his dagger, he sped towards it. The creature turned around when it sensed its presence and let out a loud screech. Adrien missed the creature and fell to the ground dizzy. He quickly gained his bearings and looking at the creature, he knew he was in deep shit.

A distance away, Fenrik was busy slaying a beast when he heard the sound of a creature that annoyed him the most, until he realized that it was coming from the direction adrien had gone. He gripped his bident and with the speed of a moving car, he shot off in the same direction.
