Buying Stats

Rael did not waste much time and opened up the shop.

• Dirty Bandage (Common): 15 Trell

• Normal Bandage (Common): 50 Trell

• Stolen Panties of a Great Sage (Uncommon): 696 Trell

...Scammers. Rael grumbled before purchasing the [Normal Bandage.]

It appeared in his hands like the military knife, and he immediately applied it.

The second arrow was a pain in the ass to remove since it did not go through his body, but he figured it out.

[HP -1! 14/40]

Barely.

<+2 Constitution>

Finally. Rael plopped onto the ground, tired.

He had only been in this strange dungeon for a few hours, but he'd already nearly died.

Therefore, it was about time he made some investments.

Rael opened his status window and focused on his stats when, all of a sudden, another interface appeared.

•—Balance: 144 Trell—•

Hmm... A bandage is 50 Trell, and detox is 10. Spending 100 Trell seems reasonable enough. Rael thought, nodding to himself before quickly distributing his stats.

•—Stats—•

Health Points (HP): [21/40] -> [81/100]

Mana Points (MP): [100/100]

Strength: 4 (+1) → 5 (+1) → 8 (+1)

Agility: 6 (+2) → 10 (+2)

Constitution: 4 → 7 → 10

Intelligence: 10

Wisdom: 5

Charisma: 100

•—Advanced Stats—•

Attack Power (AP): [35] -> [41] (+25)

Movement Speed Increase: [3%] -> [5%]

Critical Hit Damage Increase: [0.25%]

Constitution increased his HP, Agility increased his natural reflexes and dexterity, and of course, Movement Speed.

Lastly, Strength increased his general strength and, of course, Attack Power, which added a flat damage bonus to all his melee and ranged attacks.

Magic was excluded, simply because of how overpowered it can get, so the developers balanced it out.

Nonetheless, these were the most important stats at the moment. As for Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma, he would focus on them once he improved a bit more.

Either way, currently...

He was broke. Again.

Nonetheless, he wanted to check something out, so he opened the store again.

• Inspect Monster Level (Common): 200 Trell

• Inspect Secret Item Properties (Common): 350 Trell

• Inspect Runes (Uncommon): 1500 Trell

• Inspect Buildings (Uncommon): 2150 Trell

Others are shit for now, but the first one is affordable... I'll buy it next time. Rael thought, noting it down in his mind as he stood up.

After putting some money into Constitution and raising his HP, he felt a lot better, even with the 19 missing HP.

Now that his stats were much higher, he would go around hunting the monsters, which, for some reason, were all gathered under the dim light of the stalactite not too far away from him.

It seemed like some kind of hotspot, but he did not feel too confident taking all of them on just yet.

But as he was preoccupied with the other monsters, he spotted that the goblin archer's body had not disappeared, and neither had its weapon.

The usual case in Sketa Online was that after a monster was killed, it despawned alongside its loot.

Though... Rael walked over and picked up the bow from the ground.

—Shabby Wooden Shortbow (Common)

Durability: 28/150

Damage: 2-14 [Degraded]

+35 Attack Power (AP)

+5 Agility

Rael shook his head and pressed "No" before putting the bow inside his inventory.

Its stats weren't bad, and if he repaired it, he could sell it for way more than 15 Trell.

As for using it? He was shit with the bow, so he wouldn't even try.

Nonetheless, Rael walked over to a rat and threw his military knife at it.

-58! Critical Hit!

<+10 Trell Acquired>

What Rael found out was that he was very good at throwing things, so he'd likely purchase a throwing skill later.

But for now, it was time to solo farm some monsters.

***

A whole day went by, with him killing the rats one by one, until eventually, there was not a single one left.

By the looks of things, the monsters he killed didn't respawn, which meant that after clearing out the entire dungeon, he could claim it for himself.

Nonetheless, his progress was pretty solid for a single day's work.

<+530 Trell Acquired>

<+200 Trell Bonus>

<+7 Constitution>

<+12 Agility>

<+8 Strength>

But before he could open his status screen and check out the changes, he felt a soft breeze steadily approach.

Rael instinctively moved his head to the side as an arrow shot past, striking the dungeon's wall.

He glanced at the perpetrator and spotted a goblin archer, preparing yet another arrow.

Yet this put a massive smile on his face. "Round two, motherfucker."

Another arrow flew toward him; however, he merely slashed the military knife downward, slicing the arrow into two.

At the same time, Rael began sprinting toward the goblin archer and stabbed the military knife into its neck.

-72! Critical Hit!

Even then, it wasn't dead, as it suddenly lashed its head at him, trying to bite his neck off.

But before it could do that, Rael twisted the military knife, took it out, and cleaved straight through the goblin archer's jaw.

-75! Critical Hit!

Not even a moment later, it fell to the ground, lifeless, and with that, came the system messages.

<+49 Trell Acquired>

That was much easier than last time. Rael scoffed before picking up the bow and tossing it into his inventory.

Yet as he did so, he spotted something that put a smile on his face.

•—Balance: 833 Trell—•

It's time to do some spending.
