Singhania Villa
" She sure is one daring madam", said Zeeshan.
Chanchal kapoor has said yes for the marriage.
" I never in my life thought that", said Guru.
" With Kapoors you need to think hard", said Shaun. " Such a b*tch. You said she did not even replied to you", he said to Guru.
" Looking down on her nose to me", said Guru.
Sumeet said nothing. He stared at a photograph.
It was of him and Jeet in their college days.
The other three looked at him. A sadness spread in the room.
" Its not your fault", said Zeeshan softly.
Sumeet just looked at him.
" You need to move on", said Shaun. " Its unhealthy ".
Sumeet shrugged.
" Doesn't matter any more", he said. " Start preparations for the wedding".
" So you will go with it", asked Guru.
" Yes I do need a wife and sons", said Sumeet devilishly. " And b*dding a girl is never a chore".
He looked at a picture of Chanchal Kapoor. She wore a pink top and blue jeans. Her hairs were in a ponytail. Her face sported a light makeup. She wore sunglasses and carried an expensive purse. Her shoes were branded too.
" She is doing it for the money", said Shaun. Even the girl's sight disgusted him. " A high class trophy wife". He made it sound like wh*re.
A painting studio
" YOU SAID YES", a shrilling voice penetrated Chanchal's ears. " Do you even know who he is"?
" The mafia boss Kash. Yes I know", Chanchal said kindly.
" Then Chi chi my dear are you suicidal", he said making a lot of his trademark faces.
😐🙄😯😖😤
Chanchal giggled. Trust Kash to make her laugh.
Kashmir Kaul aka Kash
25 years.
5'10
Lanky and atheletic.
Theatre artist and playwright
Bright golden curly lhairs. Blue eyes.
And a talent to make a million faces.
" I am not going to die", she assured him.
" Try hard", he said. " That gloomy face does nothing for your case".
She giggled again.
" My family needs me", she said.
" Family. What family? Where is your family"?
Kash started mock searching everywhere.
" Kash"..
" Babes if you call Kapoir your family I'll have a stroke", he said.
" Sheetal actually", she was saying.
" Ohhh no no! My martyr. No need to justify the she demon. Remember what I told you when you first mentioned marriage"?
She did.
" Darling pray that she is not plotting to throw you all under the bus. If she marries him", he had sighed dramatically; " Good riddance. But somehow I think this marriage screams trouble".
And trouble it was. She made an enemy of Dragon. SS. Sumeet Singhania. The death personified.
She shrugged of her morose thougjts.
Few days later
" Get heena on the bride. Get heena on the bride", shouted girls.
Tomorrow is her wedding. The ceremonies have begun. Sumeet refused an engagement.
" Marriage is all I want. A small one. No extravaganza. No media", he was clear.
The wedding was going to happen in a large bungalow owned by Sinnghanias. Her family has moved in this morning. A security that could rival head of states greeted them.
IT WAS LIKE WALKING IN A PRISON.
And prison it was. Sentenced for life she thought. But then wasn't she already a prisoner. A prisoner of love. Love that still dwells in her heart. She closed her eyes.
And remembered
" Isn't he handsome", said Rash her best friend.
" He is", she said weakly.
" I love him so much", she said.
" Hello", he came and gave them that heart breaking smile. RASH BEAMED... Literally.
Sunshine she thought.
And like a shadow she disappeared.
" Sweetheart", a voice said.
Her eyes snapped open.
" The heena at least looks good", said Kash.
" Its so dark", mused a girl. " That means a man loves his woman to death".
" Death", she whispered.
There was a knock on the door.
And Gurpreet Walia entered.
" Gosh the man", Kash rolled his eyes.
" Please sign here Ms. Kapoor", said Guru with veiled disdain.
He could at least give a fake smile thought Kash.
" What's this", asked Chanchal.
" Your wedding certificate and a prenup ", he said .
" Okay", she started reading.
Guru looked at her confused.
" Do you think she was illeterate", Kash could no longer suppress his anger.
" I didn't", Guru was taken aback.
Kash joined reading.
" It says she gets nothing on divorce", said Kash.
Guru shrugged.
" A man takes care of his belongings ", shrugged Guru.
Then Chanchal read the primary condition.
" Sons", it said.
Guru smirked.
" You can still back out", he whispered.
" You are beautiful little one. One day you will find someone worthy of you".
These voices in her head.
" Chi chi will you come to my wedding"?
" Where should I sign", she blurted all of a sudden.
For a moment Guru thought he saw her in pain. But then the usual calm was back.
" Here", he pointed to various places. She signed without a fuss.
" I hope its worth it", he said and left.
Groom's room
Haldi ceremony( turmeric play) was in full swing as people from the groom's side rubbed him with turmeric. Guru came in.
" She signed the prenup", he said.
" Brave", commented Zeeshan.
" Or a fool", said Guru.
" Plain greedy", said Shaun
" Time to play", said Zeeshan as he rubbed turmeric on his friend's face. Shaun and Guru followed.
Turmeric and sandal was rubbed on Chanchal too. She was really wound up.
" At least he is hot", said Kash." Did you meet him"?
She shook her head. She met him just once before when he got engaged to her sister. She was a busybody.
" Hello. Chanchal right", he tried to talk.
She swallowed a lime. His eyes were friendly. But she scurried away like a rat she was.
Wedding day
Song Chap Tilak
Chanchal was on auto pilot whole day. She followed all the rituals as ordered. Loudspeakers bleared the music of a girl's dream to be united with her beloved. Of a new bride's aspirations. Of excitement to share her husband's life. Of nervousness she felt of that first touch.
Chanchal felt nothing.
" Darling may be try and smile a little", said Kash. " You look like a proverbial sacrificial lamb. Mr. S*x on sticks could do if you don't emit martyr vibes."
" I am fine", she said.
Kash did not buy it but remained quiet making faces.😑😐🤨🙄😶
Suddenly there was a commotion.
She was summoned in the hall. A heavy veil covered her face as she marched towards her groom.
Wedding hall
Sumeet stood up as he saw his bride coming with rose garland in her hands.
" Ohh my lovely bride", he said. " Time to face the music".
" Halt right there", security stopped her at the foot of stage.
There was a murmur among the guests.
Two female securities moved ahead.
" Search her", commanded dragon.
Her veil was ruthlessly removed. She was taken to a side cabin stripped and searched.
Kash was agitated.
" Why", he cried.
" So that she can't smuggle a gun in", said Sumeet his eyes full of cruelty.
Chanchal was unfazed. After the search her dress was hapahazardly put back. Her make up ruined so was the garland she carried. Her veil was torn. Kapoors were humiliated.
Sumeet smirked. Chanchal climbed the stage alone with no help from anyone . She was about to trip and fall when she felt a pair of strong hands on her. Instinctively she shrinked.
" Well done my brave wife", a voice whispered in her ears. " Time to get married".
As the rituals continued so did her humiliation. He refused to touch her hand in kanyadan and would deliberately walk slow or fast to halt the holy circles of fire. As Vermillion and holy thread of mangalsootra were given to her wedding was completed.
A reception followed. Chanchal was relieved to step out of the heavy lehnga. Her cousin have selected a golden gown for her.
Bad choice
Not the dress but she for it. It was a sleek number . It would have looked good on someone with a good figure but on Chanchal it ..the chest was too tight; the cleavage too deep. Also tight it was at her bust. There was a slit too. She felt n*ked.
" Its too much", she said to Payal and Sheena.
" He needs to forget that b*tch and look at you. Just show a little b*dy. Don't be a prude", said Sheena.
She was so conscious as she stood by his side.
To say that it did not affect him was a lie.
The moment Sumeet saw his wife in that dress he was ar*used. That delectable body, teasing cleavage, the glimpse of those thighs. He was a man after all in his prime too.
" Little kitten has claws bro", whispered Guru. " She hit right on the spot".
" She is burning you", chuckled Zeeshu.
" Two can play the game", smirked Sumeet.
" You look like someone begging to be taken dear wife", he whispered in her ears as he left a warm breath on her neck.
She was so scared.
" N.n.no", she said.
" Can't wait to be alone", he said as a strong hand covered her waist. She resisted the urge to struggle. She was breathing rapidly now. She stared at the ground.
" LOOK AT ME", he commanded.
She slowly raised her eyes to look at him.
Honest grey eyes. He shrugged it off.
He had a dark face, eyes like stormy night, wine lips, midnight black hairs and those strong hands which held her now. Her throat dried up.
Sumeet realised his wife was aware of him. Her n*pples have hardened. The dress hid nothing. His lips curved into smile.
" At least nights will be fun with you", he smirked.
This was her punishment she knew.
She blinked back her tears.
The next two hours were an ordeal. His side of family hated her on sight. Reactions varied from subdued insults to open hostilty.
One of his friends sneered
" ATTENTION SEEKING WH*RE".
She was mortified. Earth should open and swallow her up.
Another one was openly checking her out. She felt like a specimen.
" She has no sense of modesty", said a female guest.
Sumeet was enjoying the show. A cruel smile graced his lips making him more satanic.
" Come close for a photograph", said the cameraman.
Sumeet pounced on her.
" Come closer Chanchal", he pulled her in his arms.
" P.please d.don't", she stammered.
" She is a bit shy", he said.
He pulled her close and left his warm whiskey breath on her face.
" Smile like a happy bride", he whispered. She tried as his lips came over hers s*cking her breath away. His lips punished hers brutally. His hands left marks on her shoulders.
Flash click....
It was a perfect photograph .
He moved away smiling cruelly. That will teach her not to provoke him.
" Till death do us apart", he said.
Chanchal could not breath. She literally froze. Her head started to spin.
" Breath", he commanded.
" S.sunshine", she said vaguely.
" What", he looked at her with concern. Her eyes had rolled.
" Chanchal breath", he said again .
Her eyelids dropped.
" LOOK AT ME". It seemed insistent.
" I.I.."
She tried to open her eyes. And saw his eyes.
" Chanchal". He shook her
She could no longer hear him. Everything turned black and her head finally blocked him.
There was a collective gasp from the crowd.
The bride collapsed.
