"With the two brothers gone, will Tang Yuehua be alright alone in the scheming environment of the Heaven Dou Imperial Palace?"
Blue Silver Emperor watched as Tang Hao and the others disappeared around the corner of the street.
"Ah Yin, don't worry. I think Tang Xiao, as the eldest brother, must have made some kind of deal with the Heaven Dou Emperor. After all, the Clear Sky School is the number one sect on the continent. The Heaven Dou Emperor won't let anything happen to Tang Yuehua. That's why they left so confidently."
"Besides, I don't believe the Clear Sky School wouldn't send someone to secretly protect Tang Yuehua. So, her safety is something we don't need to worry about," Lin Yongming said calmly.
"You're right. Worrying about them is pointless. We should worry about ourselves first. Even though the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon family received Elder Ju's warning, who knows if they'll still cause trouble for us in secret?" Blue Silver Emperor sighed helplessly.
"Don't overthink it. As long as Yu Yuanzhen doesn't personally make a move, even if it's a Soul Douluo-level opponent, with our combined strength and my Purple Lightning Thunder Wings, we can definitely escape," Lin Yongming reassured her, patting her shoulder.
"Alright. Let's not go to the Great Spirit Arena for the next couple of days. We'll rest for a bit and then go check on Tang Yuehua," Blue Silver Emperor nodded.
"Agreed."
After breakfast, the two, who had originally planned to go shopping, decided to keep a low profile and returned to their hotel to continue cultivating their spirit power.
The entire day passed with the two staying in the hotel. At noon, Corolar appeared briefly to inform them that Elder Ju had left Heaven Dou City alone that morning, heading back to the Spirit Hall.
After resting in the hotel for two days, they decided to fulfill their promise to Tang Hao and the others by visiting the Royal Etiquette Academy to see Tang Yuehua.
Having been cooped up in the hotel for two days, they also thought it would be a good opportunity to stretch their legs.
"Xiao Ming, it's quite a distance. Tang Yuehua's Moon Pavilion is located in the northern part of the imperial palace," Blue Silver Emperor said, checking the map of Heaven Dou City before they set out.
"If we walk there, we probably won't make it back by tonight," she added.
"Then let's hire a carriage to take us there," Lin Yongming suggested.
"Agreed. That's what I was thinking too," Blue Silver Emperor nodded.
They stepped outside the hotel and waited for a passing carriage. Before long, a decent-looking carriage pulled up in front of them.
"Hey, Brother Lin, Blue Silver! I was just about to come find you at the hotel. Didn't expect to run into you here," Ning Fengzhi called out, poking his head out of the carriage window and waving.
"Ning Fengzhi, I knew you'd come looking for us these past few days, but I didn't expect you to show up so soon," Lin Yongming smiled and nodded.
"By the way, why aren't you with Hongying today?" Blue Silver Emperor asked.
"Ah, don't even mention it. Today was the enrollment day, and I wanted to go with her, but something came up—it's about that rabbit girl from the auction."
Ning Fengzhi stepped out of the carriage and approached them.
"Speaking of which, what are you two doing here on the side of the road? Are you waiting for a carriage? Where are you planning to go?" Ning Fengzhi asked curiously.
"Yes, we were planning to go out. Tang Hao and his brother left two days ago, and before they left, they asked us to check on Tang Yuehua at the Moon Pavilion Academy when we had time. Since we have nothing to do today, we thought we'd go visit her," Lin Yongming explained.
"The Moon Pavilion! You mean the Heaven Dou Royal Etiquette Academy? I've been there a few times. Come on, hop in the carriage. I'll take you there," Ning Fengzhi offered immediately.
"That works. Since you're free right now, we can also ask you about how you handled that rabbit girl from the auction," Lin Yongming nodded.
"Right, how is she doing?" Blue Silver Emperor chimed in.
"Let's talk in the carriage."
The three of them climbed into the carriage one after another. Lin Yongming and Blue Silver Emperor sat together, while Ning Fengzhi sat across from them.
"Driver, head to the Moon Pavilion in the northern district," Ning Fengzhi instructed the coachman.
"Got it, young master."
Ning Fengzhi nodded and then turned to Lin Yongming and Blue Silver Emperor. "Brother Lin, Blue Silver, after I took her back to the hotel I usually stay at, it took me half a day to finally get some information out of her."
"Sigh... Her parents were killed by the bandits who captured her. By dusk that day, after some persuasion and discussion with Hongying and the others, I decided to send her to the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School yesterday to work as a free servant. Of course, she'll still be paid for her work."
"Otherwise, Hongying and I were worried she might get captured again. So, what do you think of this arrangement?"
Ning Fengzhi explained the situation with the rabbit girl, looking somewhat helpless.
"I think it's a good arrangement. The Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School is definitely the safest place for her. What do you think, Ah Yin?" Lin Yongming said, finding no fault with Ning Fengzhi's plan.
It was indeed the best option for the rabbit girl.
"That's not bad. She's only about twelve years old, and with her parents gone, staying at the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School is the safest option. Plus, she can live a stable life there," Blue Silver Emperor added thoughtfully.
"However, she's still a bit traumatized from whatever she went through. I hope she can become more lively over time," Ning Fengzhi sighed.
"But Brother Lin, what makes me happiest is that what you suggested actually brought me and Hongying closer. Just two days ago, I finally figured out why she's always been so cold toward me. It was all because of a misunderstanding caused by an embarrassing incident I had back at the academy."
"These past two days, even though Hongying is still a bit guarded around me, at least she's not as cold as before," Ning Fengzhi said with a bright smile.
"Really? I told you so. Don't give up, keep going," Lin Yongming smiled slightly.
"Honestly, I really have to thank you, Brother Lin. If you hadn't suggested I save the rabbit girl, none of this would have happened," Ning Fengzhi said, feeling a sense of relief.
"If you like her, then pursue her boldly. Hongying seems like a good person, and her martial spirit talent is excellent. I believe you two will grow old together," Blue Silver Emperor blessed Ning Fengzhi.
"Thank you!" Ning Fengzhi nodded happily.
Lin Yongming, however, didn't say anything. In the original story, if Hongying really was Ning Fengzhi's wife, she would likely pass away shortly after Ning Rongrong was born.
"By the way, Brother Ning, I heard that the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School's Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda martial spirit can only reach level 79, the Soul Sage level, for life. Is that true?" Lin Yongming quickly changed the subject.
"Sigh! It's not just a rumor. Many forces know about this. Although it's known as the number one support-type martial spirit on the continent, the flaw in the martial spirit means we can only obtain seven spirit rings. Once we reach level 79, our spirit power stops improving," Ning Fengzhi explained with a faint smile.
It seemed he had come to terms with the limitations of his martial spirit.
"When I first found out about this, I was a bit unwilling to accept it, but there's nothing I can do. Otherwise, with the quality of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda martial spirit, becoming a Title Douluo—especially a rare support-type Title Douluo—wouldn't be too difficult."
Ning Fengzhi sighed helplessly.
"Support-type Title Douluos? I've heard there aren't any support-type Title Douluos on the entire continent. The highest level is only the Soul Douluo level," Blue Silver Emperor chimed in.
"Exactly. Compared to other types of spirit masters, support-type spirit masters have a slower spirit power cultivation speed. Sometimes, I feel like the world is really unfair," Ning Fengzhi lamented.
"True. There are all kinds of martial spirits on the continent, but some are flawed despite their strengths. Like you, Brother Ning, or Tang Yuehua, whose martial spirit mutated during awakening, leaving her with only an innate level 9 spirit power and unable to break through."
"And me, I was only able to leave my village because my martial spirit mutated favorably. Otherwise, I'd still be farming in the village," Lin Yongming also sighed.
"Oh! Brother Lin, your martial spirit is mutated? No wonder your weapon martial spirit looks like a sword but also like a blade," Ning Fengzhi said in surprise.
"It is mutated. Both my parents are ordinary people without spirit power," Lin Yongming nodded.
"That's great. Your martial spirit is mutated, and so is Blue Silver's. You two are truly a match made in heaven. I envy the kind of childhood sweetheart relationship you have," Ning Fengzhi said enviously.
"It's not bad. Even though we're not from the same village, we've known each other since we were six," Blue Silver Emperor said with a smile.
The three of them chatted casually, and by a little past 2 PM, they finally arrived at a quiet area. There was only one magnificent castle here, with maple and cherry blossom trees lining both sides of the road.
"Brother Lin, Blue Silver, we came at the right time. The Moon Pavilion students have their unified lessons in the morning, and in the afternoon, they have free time to practice what they learned in the morning."
After getting out of the carriage, Ning Fengzhi explained to Lin Yongming and the others.
"It smells so nice here! There must be a lot of flowers planted around," Lin Yongming said, taking a deep breath.
"But since it's free time in the afternoon, will Tang Yuehua even be here?" Blue Silver Emperor asked curiously.
"I think she will be. Tang Yuehua isn't a local, so she probably lives in the dormitory on the second floor."
"Most of the students here are noble young ladies. There are very few men," Ning Fengzhi explained.
"Alright, let's go in and find Tang Yuehua," Lin Yongming nodded.
Ning Fengzhi led the way, occasionally explaining things to Lin Yongming and Blue Silver Emperor as they walked. They passed through a small path surrounded by flowers and plants and arrived in front of a castle-like building with a pointed tower.
Although it looked tall, it was actually only three stories high, but the first floor was very spacious, covering an area of about a thousand square meters.
"You all seem unfamiliar. May I ask why you've come to the Moon Pavilion?" A guard at the entrance, standing by a small counter, politely stopped them and asked.
"I am Ning Fengzhi of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School. I'm here to see someone named Tang Yuehua. We're her friends," Ning Fengzhi introduced himself with a hint of pride.
"Ah, Young Master Ning! Tang Yuehua is indeed here. Would you like me to guide you to her?" The guard immediately became more respectful upon hearing Ning Fengzhi's name.
The Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School was located in a small mountain range about a hundred miles outside of Heaven Dou City, so the guards were well aware of the school's status in the city.
"Thank you," Ning Fengzhi nodded.
"Young Master Ning, you're too kind. Please follow me. Tang Yuehua is probably in her private music room practicing the score she learned this morning," the guard said before turning and leading them inside.
"Brother Lin, Blue Silver, everything's settled. Let's go," Ning Fengzhi turned back and smiled.
"Alright," Lin Yongming and Blue Silver Emperor nodded.
After entering the main gate, they walked down a corridor and arrived at a large hall. The outer area of the hall was furnished with tables and chairs, and in the center was an ornamental pond. The entire place exuded an air of luxury and elegance.
Lin Yongming didn't stop here but continued along the edge of the hall toward the back.
"Get out! If you don't leave, I'll report this to His Majesty, Snow Night!" A furious female voice reached Lin Yongming and the others.
"Haha, even when you're angry, you're still so beautiful. I never expected to meet such a stunning beauty on my first day here. I haven't seen you in Heaven Dou City before, so you must be a noble lady from elsewhere, right?"
"Let me introduce myself. I am Bert, the son of a Marquis. Even if you report this to His Majesty, he'll side with me. So why don't you just give in? As the future Marquis, I won't treat you poorly," a arrogant voice laughed loudly.
"Aren't you afraid of the Clear Sky School?" Tang Yuehua said coldly.
"The Clear Sky School? Of course I'm afraid, but with only level 9 spirit power, how could you possibly be from the Clear Sky School?"
"That's Tang Yuehua's voice. She's in trouble," Blue Silver Emperor said quickly.
"Got it," Lin Yongming nodded, and the two of them rushed toward the source of the voice. They found Tang Yuehua in a private music room on the side of the hall.
"Stop!" Lin Yongming channeled his spirit power into his fist and punched Bert, the Marquis's son, in the stomach.
"Bam!" Bert's vision blurred as a sharp pain spread from his stomach throughout his body. He was sent flying backward, crashing into the wall before collapsing to the ground, unconscious.
"Yuehua, are you okay?" Blue Silver Emperor rushed to Tang Yuehua's side and noticed red marks on her wrist where she had been grabbed.
"Sister Blue, Brother Lin, it's you! You scared me," Tang Yuehua said, her voice trembling as she recognized them.
"Brother Lin, did you... kill him?" Tang Yuehua asked nervously, glancing at Bert lying motionless on the ground.
"This is bad. He's the son of a Marquis. If he's really dead, you'll be in serious trouble," Tang Yuehua said anxiously.
"Yuehua, don't worry. He's just unconscious from the pain. I can still sense his heartbeat," Lin Yongming explained, turning to her.
"That's good, that's good. As long as he's not dead, there's still a chance to fix this," Tang Yuehua sighed in relief.
"Hmph! Someone like him deserves to die," Blue Silver Emperor said angrily.
"Brother Lin, are you all okay?" Ning Fengzhi and the guard rushed over.
"Miss Tang, I'm so sorry. I didn't expect him to harass you," the guard said, looking terrified.
"Young master!" Two attendants came running from the other side of the room and panicked when they saw their master lying unconscious.
"You're dead! I'm going to tell the Marquis!" one of them shouted before both of them ran off.
"Dammit! Miss Tang, if the Marquis comes, we'll have to ask His Majesty to mediate," the guard said, looking at Tang Yuehua.
"Fine, go ahead," Tang Yuehua said, glancing at Lin Yongming and the others.
"Wait, shouldn't Tang Yuehua have someone protecting her? That doesn't make sense. Even if Tang Yuehua doesn't know, Tang Xiao should have arranged something."
Lin Yongming was puzzled as to why no one from the Clear Sky School had shown up to protect Tang Yuehua.
