Lin Yongming and Korol stood guard, vigilant and ready, as they watched over the Blue Silver Emperor.

The Blue Silver Emperor didn't keep them waiting long. Perhaps because this soul ring originally belonged to her, even though it was a 30,000-year soul ring, she absorbed it effortlessly.

There was no soul shock or disturbance affecting her.

In just over ten minutes, a powerful aura erupted from the Blue Silver Emperor, causing the surrounding Blue Silver Grass to sway gently.

"Blue Silver King, thank you for your help. However, I must leave now. The soul power I've stirred up has attracted other ten-thousand-year soul beasts," the Blue Silver Emperor communicated telepathically with the Blue Silver King, expressing her gratitude.

"Your Majesty, you are too kind. This is what we, your subjects, should do," the Blue Silver King replied respectfully.

"I won't say much more. Here is a leaf from my true form, containing a trace of my bloodline. I hope it helps you grow stronger," the Blue Silver Emperor said softly, producing a radiant golden leaf.

Without giving the Blue Silver King a chance to refuse, she placed the leaf on his root, where it seamlessly merged into his essence.

"Thank you, Your Majesty," the Blue Silver King said with deep emotion. If one looked closely, they would notice the massive canopy of the Blue Silver King's tree slightly bending toward the Blue Silver Emperor, as if bowing in reverence.

"Live well here. As their king, protect them. I must go now. Farewell!" The "them" she referred to were the ordinary Blue Silver Grass plants.

"Farewell, Your Majesty!" the Blue Silver King said respectfully, bidding her goodbye.

The Blue Silver Emperor opened her eyes, stood up, and turned away without further words.

"Xiao Ming!" she called out urgently to Lin Yongming as she ran toward him.

"Are you hurt?" she asked, her voice filled with concern as she checked him over.

"Ayin, I'm fine. Did it affect you? Did you successfully obtain your sixth soul ring?" Lin Yongming asked with a gentle smile.

"Yes! I'm glad you're okay. Now, I'm a 61st-ranked Soul Emperor," the Blue Silver Emperor said, relieved to see that Lin Yongming was unharmed, aside from a few tears in his clothes.

"You two, stop being so lovey-dovey. The path to the forest's outskirts is blocked by several ten-thousand-year soul beasts. We'll have to break through," Korol interjected urgently.

"Brother Korol, thank you for everything," the Blue Silver Emperor said to him.

"Don't mention it. We're all on the same side. Besides, I'm fine," Korol replied, waving his hand dismissively.

"Brother Korol, since the path is blocked by so many soul beasts, how should we break through?" Lin Yongming asked quickly.

"Sticking together would be best, but if all three of us try to break through, we'll be too noticeable. I suggest we split up. I'll draw the soul beasts away since I'm the strongest. You two can then head for the outskirts," Korol proposed.

"No, Ayin and I can't let you take such a risk. If something happens to you, we'll never forgive ourselves," Lin Yongming objected immediately.

"That's right, Brother Korol. We came together, and we'll leave together," the Blue Silver Emperor agreed.

"Don't worry. You've called me 'big brother,' so listen to me. Besides, I'm a Soul Sage and a flying-type soul master. My speed is unmatched. Unless it's a hundred-thousand-year soul beast, I'll be fine."

"Alright, it's settled. I'll go first and draw them away. You two head straight for the outskirts," Korol said decisively, already moving.

"Fine. Ayin and I will wait for you at the forest's edge," Lin Yongming replied.

"Good. Follow me."

Lin Yongming and the Blue Silver Emperor nodded at each other and followed Korol, keeping a distance of about fifty meters.

Soon, they reached the edge of the valley. Korol signaled for them to stop and then suddenly appeared before the group of ten-thousand-year soul beasts.

"Die! Shadow Feather Blades!" Korol unleashed a soul skill the moment he appeared, attacking the soul beasts with a barrage of sharp feathers.

"Roar!" Lin Yongming and the Blue Silver Emperor heard the roars of at least five different soul beasts.

Korol slowly ascended into the air, heading eastward toward the outskirts.

"Xiao Ming, let's go," the Blue Silver Emperor urged as the soul beasts chased after Korol.

"Alright. Purple Lightning Wings!" Lin Yongming activated his external soul bone, picked up the Blue Silver Emperor, and flew toward the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well.

"Whoosh!" The two of them transformed into a bolt of lightning, disappearing in an instant. Their speed surpassed even Korol's flying speed.

After about ten minutes of flying, the Blue Silver Emperor tapped Lin Yongming's shoulder. "Xiao Ming, I see the poison mist. Slow down."

"Got it."

When they reached the poison mist, Lin Yongming didn't hesitate and flew straight into it.

Under Dugu Bo's modifications, the poison mist had become even more potent than the first time they had encountered it. However, it had no effect on the two of them.

"Here, the Ruyi Hundred Treasure Pouch. Once we've gathered the herbs we need, we'll leave," Lin Yongming said, putting away his Purple Lightning Wings and setting the Blue Silver Emperor down.

"Wait for me. I'll be quick," the Blue Silver Emperor said, leaping down into the valley.

Having lived in the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well for two months, she was familiar with every corner of the valley and knew exactly where to find the herbs they needed.

In just a few minutes, she had collected the mature herbs and stored them in the Ruyi Hundred Treasure Pouch, which she then placed into a regular spatial soul tool.

The entire process took less than thirty minutes, and soon, Lin Yongming and the Blue Silver Emperor emerged from the poison mist.

This time, they didn't linger in the Sunset Forest and headed straight for the outskirts.

By the time they reached the forest's edge, the sun was already setting in the west, but there was no sign of Korol.

"I wonder how Brother Korol is doing. I feel a bit guilty," the Blue Silver Emperor said, gazing into the forest.

"Don't worry, Ayin. Brother Korol is a Soul Sage. He won't be in any real danger in the Sunset Forest. Besides, he's an agility-type soul master. If he wants to escape, even a Soul Douluo might not be able to catch him," Lin Yongming reassured her, taking her hand.

"You're right. I used to have a very biased view of the Spirit Hall. Xiao Ming, you're right. The Spirit Hall isn't entirely bad," the Blue Silver Emperor admitted.

"Exactly. The Spirit Hall of the past was better than it is now. It's just that the higher-ups have changed, or perhaps, as the organization grew, its leaders became more ambitious."

Hearing a voice behind them, the two turned around to see Dugu Bo standing there, hands behind his back.

"Senior Dugu!" Lin Yongming and the Blue Silver Emperor greeted him in unison.

"You little rascal, you came to the Sunset Forest to hunt for a soul ring and didn't even tell me. I went to your hotel last night and didn't find you. Considering Blue Silver's soul power had reached its peak, I guessed you might have come here," Dugu Bo said with a hint of exasperation.

"We didn't want to trouble you, Senior Dugu," Lin Yongming replied with a smile.

"Trouble? More like you thought I'd take the chance to fulfill the three promises I owe you," Dugu Bo teased.

"Of course not," Lin Yongming said, shaking his head.

"Alright, enough joking. Now that Blue Silver has obtained her sixth soul ring, when do you plan to meet Xue Ye?" Dugu Bo asked, referring to the agreement Lin Yongming had mentioned.

"In three days. I'll bid farewell to Bishop Salas and leave the city, then return to Tiandou City secretly at night," Lin Yongming explained.

"Good. I'll go to the palace and inform Xue Ye in advance."

"Then I'll take my leave. Korol should be coming out of the forest soon," Dugu Bo said before disappearing in a flash.

Not long after, Korol's figure appeared at the forest's edge, quickly flying out.

"Are you two okay?" Korol asked as he landed in front of them, retracting his spirit.

"Brother Korol, we're fine. What about you?" Lin Yongming replied.

"Do I look like I'm in trouble? Those soul beasts were no match for me," Korol said with a hearty laugh.

"That's a relief. We were worried when we didn't see you."

"Thank you, Brother Korol. Without you, Xiao Ming and I wouldn't have had such an easy time," the Blue Silver Emperor said, sighing in relief.

"Don't mention it. If you really want to thank me, treat me to a big meal when we get back," Korol said, waving his hand.

"Of course, it's on us. Let's head back to the city. It's almost dinner time," Lin Yongming said with a smile.

"Let's go!" Korol said cheerfully.

On the way back, Korol recounted how he had lured the soul beasts away. Soon, they arrived near their hotel.

By the time they reached the restaurant, the sun had set, so the three of them didn't return to the hotel to freshen up first.

"East Success Restaurant! Nice place. You're really splurging," Korol said with a grin.

"Not at all. Let's go in," Lin Yongming said as the three of them entered the restaurant.

They ordered a table full of dishes, and Korol even asked for a bottle of wine.

"I'll start drinking first," Korol said, raising his glass to the two of them.

"Brother Korol, go ahead. Don't mind us," the Blue Silver Emperor replied.

"Too bad I don't drink, or I'd join you," Lin Yongming added.

"Don't worry. I'm fine drinking alone," Korol said before downing a full glass of wine in one go.

"When are you two leaving Tiandou City?" Korol asked after taking a sip.

"Ayin and I discussed it. We'll stay for three more days to rest, pack our things, and bid farewell to Bishop Salas and the others. It's about time we head back," Lin Yongming replied.

"Alright. I won't say much more. Wherever you go, be careful out there," Korol said slowly.

"Thank you for taking care of us over the past year," Lin Yongming said sincerely.

"Yes, thank you, Brother Korol," the Blue Silver Emperor added.

"Don't mention it. I just hope you didn't find me too intrusive," Korol said with a wry smile.

"Not at all. We just don't know when we'll see you again," Lin Yongming said with a hint of sadness.

"Don't worry. We'll meet again, perhaps at the finals of the Continental Advanced Soul Master Elite Competition," Korol said.

"True."

The three of them continued chatting, and the meal passed quickly. By the time they left the restaurant, it was almost nine o'clock.

Back at the hotel, Lin Yongming and the Blue Silver Emperor chatted for a while before taking a bath. By the time they finished, it was past ten.

The next morning, after breakfast, they headed to the Tiandou Holy Hall.

"Lin Yongming, Blue Silver, what brings you here? Do you need any help?" Bishop Salas asked, surprised to see them in the main hall.

"Bishop Salas, Ayin successfully obtained her sixth soul ring yesterday with Brother Korol's help."

"We've discussed it and decided that after being away for over a year, it's time to return home to visit our parents and rest for a while. After that, we'll head to Spirit City to prepare for the Continental Advanced Soul Master Elite Competition," Lin Yongming explained.

"So, Xiao Ming and I came to bid farewell and thank you all for your care," the Blue Silver Emperor added.

"It's been over a year. You've been training hard at the Great Spirit Arena. It's time to give your bodies a break."

"Besides, your families must be worried. It's only right that you return home," Bishop Salas said with a nod.

"Thank you for understanding, Bishop," Lin Yongming said sincerely.

"When are you leaving? Do you need me to send someone to escort you?" Bishop Salas asked.

"Bishop, you're too kind. We've already caused you so much trouble over the past year. Now that we're about to leave, we can't trouble you further. Besides, Ayin and I are strong enough to protect ourselves now," Lin Yongming replied politely.

"A Soul Emperor and a Soul Ancestor with the strength of a Soul King—you're certainly capable of protecting yourselves."

"Alright, I won't insist. Take care on your journey," Bishop Salas said with a nod.

After bidding farewell to Bishop Salas, Lin Yongming and the Blue Silver Emperor visited the Moon Pavilion to see Tang Yuehua and explain their plans.

"Brother Lin, Sister Blue Silver, take care on your journey," Tang Yuehua said, her voice tinged with sadness.

"Yuehua, you take care too. If you're still at the Moon Pavilion when we return to Tiandou City, we'll come visit you," the Blue Silver Emperor said, holding Tang Yuehua's hand.

"Don't worry. I've settled in well at the Moon Pavilion."

"How about I play a song as a farewell gift?" Tang Yuehua suggested.

"That would be wonderful," the Blue Silver Emperor agreed.

Tang Yuehua nodded, took out her zither, and began to play.

The melody was melancholic, filled with a sense of longing and reluctance, yet also carrying a note of resignation.

The song lasted about ten minutes, and when it ended, it was time to say goodbye.

By the time they returned to the hotel, it was already dark.

Three days passed quickly. Lin Yongming and the Blue Silver Emperor packed their belongings and, under Korol's watchful gaze, disappeared down the road.
