Chapter 3: Unforgiving Vengeance

"He's really here!" murmured Liam, shaking his head slightly.

With a Lance in hand, Liam strolled out with an air of nonchalance. Little did anyone know that this Lance weighed an astonishing thousand pounds.

Remarkably,

Liam didn't need to exert any effort to counterbalance its gravity, as if it were an extension of his own arm.

Outside the dormitory,

Ethan Cloud stood with his neck slightly twisted, his eyes burning with rage. The kick Liam had given him the previous day had left him in severe pain, even after consuming healing potions. He could only tilt his neck painfully, feeling utterly ashamed.

As Liam emerged from the dormitory, Ethan Cloud hissed to the young man beside him, "Brother, it's him! This guy pretended to be weak, but he's ruthless. You must avenge me!"

"Leave it to me," Adam Chu replied with disdain, stepping forward. He looked at Liam, who stood proudly with his Lance, and sneered, "I, Adam Chu, an Inner Disciple, am giving you a chance. Kneel and apologize to my brother, or face the consequences!"

Liam chuckled, "You're an Inner Disciple, and I'm just an Outer Disciple. According to the rules, you can't lay a finger on me, right?"

Adam Chu's expression flickered but soon regained composure. "You hurt my brother, and I must defend him. Even if it means breaking the rules and facing detention, I'll do it!"

"Oh, how brotherly," Liam teased, causing Adam Chu's face to darken.

Liam's smirking attitude made Adam Chu furious. How dare an Outer Disciple ignore him like this?

"You're asking for it!" Adam Chu's eyes gleamed with malice. Initially, he had only intended to teach Liam a small lesson, but now, he decided to give him a harsh one.

Taking a step forward, Adam Chu moved almost ethereally, employing the Martial Art called Phantom Step. His fists were enveloped in crimson hues, obscuring them almost entirely.

As he advanced, his momentum was fierce, like a tiger on the hunt.

Ethan Cloud watched with a twisted face, shouting, "You little bastard, today I'll make you wish you were never born!"

"Blazing Fist!" roared Adam Chu, unleashing his punch. Fists flew, transforming into a torrent of flames that blurred and descended towards Liam's head.

The air exploded with thunderous noises.

Liam's hair was blown straight back, and his eyes narrowed as he lifted his Lance. Instead of retreating, he advanced!

With each stride, Liam's momentum grew, and he leaped into the air like a dragon emerging from the sea. His Lance was raised, both hands gripping tightly, his eyes sparkling with determination. Without hesitation, he swung it down towards Adam Chu with all his might!

Adam Chu sneered inwardly. An Outer Disciple, at best a Third Stage of Tempering Body, challenging him, an Inner Disciple at the Mid-Level of the Fourth Stage, with a mere Lance?

You're dreaming!

"Fool!" Adam Chu shouted, unleashing his Blazing Fist with fiery ferocity. The flames of his punch were about to engulf Liam, but in an instant, a mountainous force erupted from Liam's Lance.

It flowed endlessly, terrifying and unstoppable.

A staggering one thousand seven hundred pounds of force, how could Adam Chu, at his current level, resist?

The power of Blazing Fist dispersed instantly, and the Lance continued unyieldingly, piercing through the air and crashing into Adam Chu's arm!

Crash!

Adam Chu was thrown to the ground.

A piercing scream echoed through the air as his right arm bent into a grotesque angle, nearly broken. He clutched his arm, his body convulsing violently, his face distorted in pain, sweat pouring down.

Liam had held back at the last moment; otherwise, Adam Chu would have been killed.

Staring at Liam, who stood before him like a warrior god with his Lance in hand, Adam Chu's lips trembled. "Impossible! How can you be this strong? Your strength is no less than that of a Fifth Stage Tempering Body! And you're just an Outer Disciple..."

"Brother!" Ethan Cloud's face went pale, and he quickly rushed to Adam Chu's side, supporting him, his eyes red with anxiety.

"Do you dare look at me again? I'll pluck out your eyes!" Liam threatened, his gaze piercing through Ethan Cloud like a dagger.

Ethan Cloud felt as if struck by lightning, fear gripping his heart. He suppressed his不甘, lowering his head.

Liam sneered, glancing at Adam Chu. "Do you yield, senior brother?"

Adam Chu gritted his teeth, refusing to answer.

Liam didn't seem to care. Propping his Lance on the ground, he declared with an air of dominance, "Don't yield? Feel free to challenge me anytime! But next time, I won't be so lenient. Now, get lost!"

Adam Chu's face turned ashen with frustration.

He couldn't help but shout, "How dare you be so arrogant? Don't you fear the retaliation of the Chu family?"

Liam's expression darkened before brightening up again. His eyes twinkled as he chuckled, "Fear your Chu family? They're not even worth mentioning! Let me tell you, I'm actually Elder Wan Dongliu's secret disciple. If you dare use your family's influence against me, be my guest!"

Adam Chu was utterly confused.

Ethan Cloud was even more bewildered!

The brothers' hearts raced, filled with dread.

"You're lying! Elder Wan is a powerful Celestial Realm cultivator and has been in closed-door cultivation for a long time. How could he take you as his disciple?" Ethan Cloud shouted, his face flushing.

Liam sneered, "You don't know what you're talking about! How could you comprehend my extraordinary talent? In the mortal world, I was like a shining star. Elder Wan has always admired me. Do you know why he's in closed-door cultivation? It's because of my innate strength. He's creating a unique martial art just for me!"

Adam Chu gasped.

Elder Wan spending time in closed-door cultivation just for you? To create a martial art tailored for you?

This kind of treatment... he's like a beloved son!

Adam Chu's expression turned bitter as he struggled to stand, clutching his painful arm. He addressed Liam with forced calm, "Brother, we've met through conflict, but I hope we can let bygones be bygones. Forgive my offenses, and farewell."

"Be gone!" Liam replied without mercy.

As they left Liam's dormitory, Ethan Cloud couldn't help but whisper, "Brother, are we really just going to let this go?"

Adam Chu, furious, slapped Ethan Cloud on the head. "He's right. You're always causing trouble in the Outer Disciple ranks. Now you've met your match. Listen to me; this matter is over. If I catch you causing trouble with him again, I'll have Dad put you in detention!"

Ethan Cloud felt deeply.

Adam Chu shook his head, sighing. "Whether he's lying or not, his talent, capable of rivaling a Fifth Stage Tempering Body while only at the Third Stage, would make him a top prospect even in the Inner Disciple ranks of Celestial Peak Sect. If he joins the Inner Disciples and finds a mentor, he'll rise to fame quickly. And if Elder Wan is truly his mentor... ugh, this guy could walk around Celestial Peak Sect with impunity. Who doesn't know that Elder Wan has a fiery temper and fiercely protects his disciples?"

As Ethan Cloud listened, he realized with sorrow that his brother was right.

His spirits sank, and he felt utterly defeated, his enthusiasm drained.

Dammit, it seems this grudge is truly unbearable!
