Chapter 12 – Scarlett POV
I was sitting in the middle of the bed, running my fingers through my long wavy black hair, adjusting it perfectly. Tonight, I was going to the Calloway house for dinner.
So funny.
and the funniest thing is that sharon is the one who invited me .
I let out a small laugh, then a louder one. The thought of it was hilarious Crazy—they had invited their worst enemy into their home to take diner with them , and they had no idea.
A full, uncontrollable laugh bubbled out of me, filling the room. I had to cover my mouth with my hand to muffle the sound. But it didn't work , suddenly, Jason's voice interrupted my amusement.
— "What's so funny, babe?"
My laughter stopped instantly. Scarlett, you need to be more careful.or jason wil suspect me .
I glanced at him and forced a smirk.
— "I just remembered something funny, Jason."
Before I could react, Jason jumped into the bed like an overgrown rabbit and wrapped his arms around me.
— "Tell me, or I'll tickle you." His voice was playful, teasing.
I blinked.
— " what Tickle me?" I barely had time to finish the sentence before his hands were on me, relentlessly tickling my sides.
Laughter erupted from me, uncontrolled and loud. My body twisted under his touch, trying to escape, but he wouldn't stop. The apartment was filled with my laughter and his deep chuckles.
It was stupid.
it was nonsense .
It was childish.
It was… warm.
Pure Love .
And For the first time in years, I felt something I shouldn't feel.
Safe.
Normal.
Like a human.
Like a woman who wasn't plotting revenge, but simply existing in the arms of a man who held her like she mattered like he can do anything for her a man thta truly love her .
Jason's apartment was nothing like the dark corners I hid in. It was modern, sleek, masculine. The walls were a mix of deep gray and cool blue, a perfect balance of strength and calm.
The bed we sat on was huge, covered in soft navy-blue sheets. A city skyline painting hung above the headboard, giving the room a sophisticated , elegant yet personal touch. Everything was clean, well-organized, with just a few personal items scattered around mainly books —evidence that Jason wasn't just some rich businessman; he was someone who cared about his space.
And now, I was in it.
Wrapped in his warmth.
But I couldn't forget—
I wasn't here to fall for Jason Caldwell.
I was here to ruin him.
To destroy him ...
Or my heart ...
And yet… why did it feel so hard to remember that?
I slipped into a sleek short black dress, paired with matching black heels . Yeah, all in black—to darken their lives. 😈
A hint of perfume vanilla scent . A bold red lipstick that match perfectly with my black outfit .
Perfect , no mistake .
Jason, as always, looked elegant and effortlessly handsome. I glanced at him, my eyes softening with something dangerous—affection or lov**. No. Stop.
I snapped out of it and gave myself a small slap.
Jason saw it.
— "Letty… are you okay?" he asked, concern flickering in his deep blue eyes.
I forced a quick smile.
— "Yeah, Jason! It's uh eh … it's a massage. Yeah, a face massage they say its good for the skin ."
Jason laughed, shaking his head.
— "You're so weird today, but I love it."
Then, before I could react, he kissed me.
A real kiss.
Not one of strategy. Not part of my plan.
And damn it, I felt it.
For a second, I was loved.
Oh god. My heart hurt.
why does my heart hurt like this scarlett !!!!
— "It's late, let's go," Jason said, grabbing the keys. "Look, Letty, if they say or do anything to you, just tell me, okay?"
So sweet. So protective.
I made a fake puppy face and giggled.
— "No worries, Jason."
The drive to the Calloway house was short, but my mind was spinning.
When we arrived, I took a deep breath, pretending to see it for the first time.
The house was modern, massive, and luxurious.
Glass walls, steel accents, a perfectly manicured front yard. It screamed money and power.
I laughed softly. Explaining it like I wasn't already living inside it.
In a secret room behind the kitchen refrigerator .
Oops i said too much its still early !
Under their noses.
In front of their eyes ... Funny .
Chapter 12 – Part 3 (Scarlett POV)
Sharon opened the door, dressed in a white "good girl" dress with a delicate pearl necklace resting against her collarbone. She gave Jason and me a wide, practiced smile before pulling Jason into a hug.
— "Oh hey, Letty! Welcome to my house ."
I forced a fake smile and give her a small hug.
— "Hey, Sharon yeah its nice here ."
(Someone give me an OSCAR for my acting performance before I vomit .)
I stepped inside, and then I saw HER.
Sharon had always been the queen bee, the one who controlled everything, but Lana Kensington?
Lana was the monster, a psychopathe .
The one with no conscience. The one who took pleasure in every second of my suffering.
And now? She was a celebrity. A famous face. A singer A bully that the world had rewarded with fame and fortune.
So unfair.
But I would make things fair by my own .
My way.
My Plan .
My revenge .
She glanced at me, her blue eyes sharp with recognition. And then—that smile.
That evil, knowing smile.
I Hate it .
Iths the Same One she had ten years ago. The one that said she enjoyed hurting people.
She hasn't changed. Not even a little.
— "Hey! Betty, right?" Lana said, her voice dripping with fake sweetness. "I'm Lana. Oh! Hey, Jason babyyy."
She leaned in and kissed Jason's cheek.
I clenched my jaw , i felt jealousy ...
Jason instantly pulled back, looking uncomfortable.
— "Hey, Lana… and it's Letty. Not Betty. She's my Pretty girlfriend."
Damn. Why is he so sweet? so caring ? So manly !!!
Lana's smile faded just slightly before she forced a laugh and flicked her blonde hair over her shoulder.
— "Whatever, dear."
Her eyes met mine again, colder this time. She looked me up and down like she was already deciding she didn't like me.
Before I could say anything, Liam appeared in the doorway.
— "Ding Dong , Dinner is ready Friends . Come."
I took a deep breath, masking my emotions.
Let the show begin.
Its Time For Scarlett To Shine !
