Chapter 14 – Sharon POV

I had been suspecting Letty a lot these past days, but I let it go. That was until I received an email from madeleine boyfriend Marc .

Apparently, since the day she resigned, she hadn't been seen again.

Strange ...

What happened to her?

I arrived early in the morning at Best Auto we start usually at 9 am i was there at 8 am , determined to find her phone.

I had left it here after she quit. I didn't look into it much at the time because I thought she'd come back for it and it will be weird to open her phone .

But now… after this email… something felt wrong.

Where is Madeleine ? .

I unlocked the office door and immediately started searching everywhere.

One hour passed.

I had checked everywhere.

In the Place where i Found it .

Her Office , Then i searched Mine , Liam one and even the small kitchen that we have here 

No phone.

Then… I felt a presence behind me.

Before I could turn around, a hand landed on my shoulder.

I jumped and let out a scream.

It was Liam.

Behind him… stood Letty.

Our New Secretary ...

— "Wow, wow, baby, Shar are you okay? Were we robbed or something? What happened to the office?" Liam asked, looking at the mess that i did .

I took a deep breath, trying to calm my racing heart.

— "No, baby, I was just looking for something."

Letty smiled sweetly.

— "Can I help you find it, Sharon?"

Something in her voice made my stomach twist.

— "No, no, it's okay i will search it alone , thanks." I quickly dismissed her.

I grabbed Liam's arm and pulled him a little farther from Letty, lowering my voice.

— "Baby, Marc sent me a message. Madeleine never came back. And remember her phone? The one I found here?"

Liam nodded.

— "Well… I can't find it anymore."

Liam froze.

A silence stretched between us.

Then, he sighed and shook his head.

— "And, Shar? That's between her and her boyfriend, not us." His voice was firm. "Besides, she still has the office keys. Maybe she came and took by herself."

I blinked. "I forgot she still has the key but maybe…"

Liam cut me off, rubbing his forehead.

— "Stop, baby. Just stop. This is nonsense. Let it go. We don't care."

I wanted to let it go.

But something deep inside me told me…

Madeleine didn't take that phone.

So Who Did ?

Chapter 14 – Part 2 (Sharon POV)

Its September 28

Today, we were working, inspecting and buying cars.

Well, they were working—Letty and Liam. Meanwhile, I was secretly searching through the security camera footage.

Madeleine left her resignation letter on September 17.

Letty's interview was on September 20—the same day I found Madeleine's phone and left it here.

But then I noticed something disturbing.

The footage for September 17, 20, and 26… is missing GONE .

No camera data. Nothing.

Its like the camera stopped working only for this three days ! .

Why those specific days?

It's as if someone deleted them… but how, who and why ?

Only Liam and I know the passwords for access .

This is getting weirder each minute.
