The morning sun peeked through the curtains, but Avira was oblivious to its warm glow as she snoozed under her cozy blanket. The alarm blared for the tenth time, and she lazily smacked it off.
"Five more minutes…" she mumbled, curling deeper into her bed.
Then suddenly—realization hit!
"OH SHIT! First day at work!" she screamed, throwing the blanket off. She shot up, eyes wide, heart racing.
Scrambling out of bed, she grabbed the first outfit she could find, throwing on a white shirt and black pants in record time. Her hair? A messy bun. Makeup? Who had time? She stuffed a toast in her mouth and ran out, hopping onto her scooty, and speeding toward the grand Singh Industries building.
Meanwhile, at the entrance of Singh Industries...
Aditya Singh walked through the gates, his usual aura of power and discipline trailing behind him. His sharp black suit was crisp, his phone pressed to his ear as he spoke in a deep, authoritative tone.
"I don't care for excuses. Get it done."
Beside him, his elder brother Kabir strolled casually, hands in pockets, smirking at how his younger brother commanded fear with just a glance. Behind them, Aditya's assistant struggled to keep pace, nodding nervously as he jotted down instructions.
And that's when—BAM!
Something—or rather, someone—crashed straight into Aditya.
For a second, the world froze.
Aditya's strong hands instinctively gripped the woman's waist to keep her from falling. A soft gasp escaped her lips as her hands landed flat against his rock-hard chest.
But the dreamy moment lasted exactly two seconds.
"Are you blind?! Can't you see where you're going?" Aditya's deep, annoyed voice snapped through the air. ( "Kya tum andhi ho?! Tumhe dikhta nahi hai kaha ja rahi ho?" )
Avira blinked, completely unfazed. "Oh! I'm so sorry. I should have been more careful while walking!" she said sweetly.
Then, to everyone's shock, she casually took three steps back and paused.
Aditya frowned. "What the—"
Before he could say another word, she walked past him again, this time openly checking him out, smirking as she passed.
And then—she dropped the bomb.
"Totally worth looking! Damn, what a hottie!" ( "Dekh ke maza aa gaya… kya maal hai, yaar!" ) she whispered with a flirty grin, throwing him a wink.
Dead. Silence.
Aditya's assistant choked on air trying to suppress his laughter. Kabir? He burst out laughing.
Aditya stood there, completely stunned. No one—NO ONE—had ever dared to talk to him like that.
His assistant was now trembling, biting his lip to keep from laughing. Kabir, still chuckling, glanced at Aditya's deadly glare and immediately stopped, clearing his throat.
Aditya's jaw clenched. His hands curled into fists. No one mocked him and got away with it.
His dark eyes locked onto the girl, who—to his disbelief—WAS NOW RUNNING AWAY!
Before he could even react, Avira rushed inside the building, disappearing through the entrance.
"Who the hell was that?" Aditya growled, his fury barely controlled.
His assistant checked the file, still grinning. "Uh… Sir, she's the new hire. And, um… she's supposed to report to you today."
Aditya's eyes darkened.
"Interesting."
