There's... There's a buggy?

Even though Liam knew this world was vastly different from the one he was used to, the sight of the scattered skeleton still sent shivers down his spine. Humans had a primal fear of the unknown and the macabre. Liam's mind raced as he tried to process the scene.

He carefully moved his foot, trying to avoid the skull's gaze.

Crack!

Liam took a cautious step to the left and accidentally stepped on something, causing a sharp cracking sound. He looked down, his scalp tingling.

"Oh, my bad. I didn't mean to do that, brother. Sorry for disturbing you!" A white arm bone had snapped in two under his foot.

Liam shone his flashlight around and saw bone fragments scattered across the floor. "This poor guy... whoever he was," Liam thought, shaking his head.

He carefully avoided the bone fragments as he moved towards the other end of the ruin. The floor was made of a concrete-like material, and there were more feline fur scattered around.

Liam took out the last unused torch from his inventory and lit it. The darkness of the ruin, illuminated only by his flashlight, was too unsettling. It felt like a scene straight out of a horror movie.

With the bright torchlight illuminating the space, Liam finally had a chance to examine the surroundings. The room wasn't large, and he could vaguely see the objects inside.

He focused his attention, but to his disappointment, both the game panel's identification function and the survival system's identification were unavailable.

This ruin felt more like an underground shelter than anything else.

He opened his private message log and began recording his observations. Memory could be deceiving, but written words wouldn't lie. By documenting everything he saw, he might be able to find clues or connections when he returned to his shelter.

Standing at the entrance, Liam began his first exploration log:

"Apocalypse Calendar January 6th, first entry into Shelter No. 2. The main door of Shelter No. 2, based on touch and sound, is preliminarily judged to be composed of an unknown material, possibly iron or steel. The texture is similar to alloy doors from the civilized era. The degree of sturdiness is yet to be tested, and there are no signs of water leakage.

The walls are made of an unknown material. Based on observation, it is suspected to be reinforced concrete or an unknown type of building stone. The strength is extremely high. Observation from the hole in the ceiling shows that the wall thickness is approximately 25 centimeters.

The floor has mysterious patterns, varying in number and shape, without forming any symmetrical patterns or conveying any discernible information. Currently, there is no specific reference value (key point: needs investigation).

Dozens of unknown feline hairs were found (collected). There is a human-shaped skeleton (currently unable to determine if it is human, pending investigation).

There are scattered tables and overturned utensils. No paper records were found. Unable to use the game panel to view properties, reason unknown.

Combined with previous signs, it is highly likely that this place has been explored by unknown entities (key points: explosion, fur), and most valuable items have been removed or destroyed!

At the innermost part of the shelter, there is an abandoned deep well similar to an M-energy well. It emits a strange fragrance, which is somewhat intoxicating and makes me feel happy.

Further sniffing and analysis... there's a scent of blueberry jam.

Further sniffing and analysis... there's a wonderful scent of spring and nanmu flowers.

Liam, oh Liam, how can you be so easily tempted? Have you forgotten why you came here?

Further sniffing and analysis...

(Delete the entire paragraph)

Attempted to manually operate the well but found the method incorrect and the device jammed. The reason is currently unknown (key point: investigate!!!!).

A downward staircase was found in the corner of the shelter. A small amount of feline fur was found on the stairs, caught on the edge (collected).

Following the stairs down fourteen steps, the second floor of the shelter was discovered (key point). Found a suspected vehicle from civilized society??!!!!"

Liam, holding the torch and distractedly recording his observations while reminiscing about the smell of the well, suddenly froze. As his thoughts drifted, the game panel slowly faded from view. However, none of this caught Liam's attention.

Because... on the second floor, he saw a vehicle parked in the middle of the room.

"Isn't this... a buggy from PUBG?"

The vehicle had a triangular roll cage, a single-seater open-top design, and an engine that was smaller but more refined than the generator upstairs. The overall shape, except for a few dents in the frame from external forces and deflated tires, was unmistakably that of a buggy.

Was this evidence of another human civilization? Liam didn't know. Perhaps, before it was ransacked, he could have found clues about the owner's identity from the details within.

However... the current state of disarray had destroyed any trace of the owner. Even the walls of the second floor...

"Hmm? Is this character 'vehicle'?" Liam noticed a character resembling the Chinese character for "vehicle" on the left wall. He instinctively looked at the buggy in the center of the room.

To the right, an arrow-shaped indicator pointed directly at the buggy. The meaning was clear.

"Was the owner of the ruin trying to convey some message through this vehicle?" Liam frowned, trying to recall if he had missed anything since entering the ruin.

From the Mist Ruins of Liangfang Town to the traces seemingly left by his own people in this underground ruin, everyone else seemed to be playing a brute-force game, while he was the only one playing a puzzle-solving game.

Liam's mind raced, connecting all the details he had observed since discovering the ruin. Time passed slowly. One hypothesis after another was rejected, and all clues pointed in a single direction.

Liam shook his head and walked quickly to the buggy's fuel tank, deciding to test his theory based on the clues. As expected, when he opened the fuel tank cap, the tank was completely empty. The diesel from his shelter could be used in this dual-fuel vehicle, but he hadn't brought any with him due to limited inventory space.

"I wonder if there's any diesel or gasoline here..." If the buggy was still functional, he could go anywhere in the world!

Holding the torch, Liam was about to search for a fuel tank when he suddenly heard a loud commotion outside!

"Woof! Woof! Woof! Awoo!" "Woof!" "Woof!"

First came Oreo's distinctive barks, followed by two strange barks that sounded like human imitations.

"Oh no! It's Oreo's warning signal. Someone's outside!"

Liam quickly extinguished the torch, took out his loaded crossbow, and rushed back up to the first floor.
