The rain poured heavily that midnight as a figure stood in the training field, holding a bow and arrows.
Since the incident with Arthur, staying in her room felt suffocating. So, she pushed herself, firing arrow after arrow at the target.
Her fingers were cut, but she couldn't feel it. Only when her mind drifted to those events would she grit her teeth and grab another arrow.
A couple of warriors froze, staring at her in confusion and astonishment. Every arrow hit the bullseye, splitting previous ones in half.
"You can stop now,"
She heard a voice but ignored it, picking up another arrow. She shot, but it landed in someone's hand. He was faster than the arrow and caught it, even though it wasn't aimed at him.
He was a mascular and a handsome guy with his brown hair and stable beards.
'Warrior Commender' Elaine uttered
He had been watching her since she arrived at the field, noticing how lost she seemed when she shot arrows.
Radella grabbed another arrow, treating him as though he was invisible.
This time, he didn't bother stopping her arrow. It buzzed near his face and struck the bullseye.
Her cold eyes turned to him. "Do you also think I'm pathetic?"
"Yes, Luna," he replied bluntly. "But you want to change that—at least that's what I thought. If I'm wrong, forget it."
Saying that, he turned to leave. Yes, she had to be stronger. Now she didn't have her magic she had to find other ways.
"You're right. I must change that" Radella's words stopped him and turned to look at her.
Now she was the first to leave the field.
When she got in Nala's house, she noticed someone's presence. There was a middle aged woman leaned on the table as she got her tea slowly. She didn't know her but she recalled seeing her in the hall. At that time she was sitting near the chestnut girl
"What should I do... at the ceremony I was ashamed for not raising you well" The woman softly said but her presence only screamed dangerous "Perhaps do you have anything to tell me about that?"
'Ask her for forgiveness. She won't hesitate to harm us. I know Madam Viola than you. She wanted Nala to be obedient to her in everything and now you ruined she won't let us off!' Elaine hastily said
However Radella remained as she was and only watched. So that woman was Viola she heard of.
Viola stared at Radella's eyes for a moment and suddenly started laughing, she gave a laugh which didn't match her eyes but didn't take long for her face to harden.
Claws grew from her fingers and rushed to Radella. In a moment she grabbed Radella's neck choking her unmercifully.
"Don't forget why you're still alive!" she said as if she lost control "I guess those witches taught you bad manners enough to forget who you are Nala!"
Radella's eyes reddened as viola lifted her in the air. She couldn't think of any means to fight a powerful werewolf like her.
Viola threw Radella aside. She rolled on the floor and hit the table breaking it. The pain on her back was too intense. She tried to raise but her body met a heavy kick which sent her flying and hit the wall. Then, she succumbed to darkness.
Viola felt a little satisfied for the way she removed her anger, she walked outside leaving her on the cold floor.
Early morning, everyone stepped outside their houses and lifted their eyes to one of the roof of the mansion and whatever they saw made them in deep confusion and awe.
Upper the roof, Radella in her black dress stood and glanced at everything in front of her with her emotionless expression. The pack was in a size of a village, not too small nor too wide. From what happened her only a day she had a good idea where to start her revenge.
'I can't allow you to use her body in your evil schemes' Elaine said
'I almost forgot you could read my thoughts' she grinned darkly before she became serious 'Let me see you try to stop me. This place should shine with their blood, I will do make sure that happen'
Soon she was walking around the warriors field.
Two men were in the middle of the arena, fighting with half-shifted bodies, their claws elongated. Their speed beyond human capabilities and incredible strength. If only the body she possessed could have similar traits.
The warriors were surprised to see her, as she had never visited the warriors' camp before.
"What is she doing here? Does she want to entertain us or something?" one of the warriors mocked, followed by laughter from the others.
"Luna, can you get us some cold water?"
She ignored their mocking and went to find who she looked for.
Soon, she arrived in front of a huge tent and spotted the silhouette of a man carefully watering a garden of vegetables. She scoffed, as from what she knew, werewolves hated veggies. She knew he had noticed her but had chosen to ignore her.
The man's task didn't seem to be ending soon, so she picked up another jug to help speed things up. But as she got closer, the man halted and turned his piercing gaze toward her.
She stayed where she was, staring back. He was the warrior commander.
"Teach me how to kill a werewolf." She got straight to the point, speaking emotionlessly, then waited for an answer.
To say he was taken aback was an underestimate. He looked at her too surprised. His eyes narrowed.
"I told you. I had to change this pathetic..."
"Who you want to kill? And why?" Serous he asked
"Those deserved to be killed. Don't worry I wouldn't include you"
He turned and kept watering "You came.to the wrong person. I don't teach to kill"
She frowned. But before she could reason her words, footsteps sounded behind her. She turned to see a man with blonde approaching with a wrinkled forehead and a sour expression.
"Nala, what are you doing here?" Rowan asked, irritated
"Can't you see? I'm talking to him."
"What are you telling him? Nala, don't tell me you're using him for me," Rowan smirked. "That would be naive of you."
She turned back to the man. "From tomorrow morning, I'll find you for lessons," she said before walking past Rowan and leaving.
Rowan watched her retreating back in disbelief. Did she just ignore him? Then he turned his angry gaze to the man.
"Eldric."
"That was an order," Eldric said, sounding innocent.
"What? Since when were you bound by orders, Nala to that? Tell me honestly… is she chasing you?"
Eldric sighed and returned his attention to the garden. As he dug, Rowan kept asking questions, but Eldric's thoughts were far away. He remembered the way Radella asked to be taught how to kill. The look in her eyes was madness.
For someone with alpha blood, words like that carried a lot of weight—if only she had the strength to back them up.
"Hey! Are you ignoring me?" Rowan asked furiously.
"What were you saying?"
"Bastard! I asked what Nala told you."
"Oh, that… She wants me to teach her to fight."
Rowan's eyes widened in surprise. He remembered the fragile girl, so weak that her wolf couldn't shift. She had dedicated herself to music, not these tough matters.
"Nala said that? What happened to her when those witches kidnapped her? Anyway..." He turned to Eldric. "She asked you and not me? I'll be the one to teach her, got it!"
