The Final Battle

Tokyo lay in ruins, a lifeless graveyard of crumbling buildings and scorched Earth. Its streets, once full of life, were now nothing more than rubble and ash.Akira lay on the ground, battered and barely able to move. Pain coursed through every fiber of his being as he gazed up at Deka, exhaustion and despair in his eyes.

Deka floated above the devastation, his maniacal laughter echoing through the smoke-filled air like a chilling specter.

"Remember all those you couldn't save, Akira?" Deka teased, his voice soaked in disgust.

"This is just another failure to add to the list." he repeated, his eyes shining with malevolence.

Akira tried to stand up, but his body felt impossibly heavy, like it was made of lead.

He fell back down, his head spinning. With a quick flick of Deka's wrist, Akira felt himself flying through the air and crashing into the skeletal remains of buildings. He slammed into the ground with bone-shattering force.

"YOU did this, Akira!" Deka shouted, his voice oozing with venom. "You pushed me to this! And I SWEAR, Akira, I WILL KILL YOU!" The sound of Deka's voice echoed in Akira's mind, making his heart race with fear.

"What did I do wrong?" Akira thought, feeling completely hopeless. "Was I always meant to fail?"

His gaze drifted towards Deka, his thoughts spiraling. "Who was I, anyway? " Every breath hurt like crazy. His bones were broken, his ribs shattered. It was a miracle he was still alive. But Deka's last attack was too much. Akira's life was slipping away. "I didn't achieve anything", he thought, tears welled up in his eyes.

With a final burst of willpower, Akira forced himself to stand. "I destroyed this world," he thought. "The least I can do is face the consequences."

He powered up his flames, burning fiercely as he pushed past his body's limits. Fear of death had once held him back, but now, staring into death's face, he had nothing left to lose.

"Ahhhhh!" he roared, powering up his flames to engulf his entire body. His clothes burned away, exposing his skin which glowed like a deep fiery crimson. A scorching heat wave radiated outward, making the air unbearably hot. Every breath felt like a burn, as if the very oxygen itself was a flame. Anyone who dared to get close would be reduced to ashes.

"I never knew I had this much power," he gasped, the heat intensifying. Metal melted, and cars exploded around him. His skin blackened, and his flesh withered.

He clenched his fist, his eyes locking onto Deka's as he spoke in a heartfelt tone, "I'm sorry, Deka," his tears evaporating in the scorching heat. "I understand now. I brought this upon us. I'm sorry for everything I've done."

Deka laughed, charging up his energy. "We're beyond apologies now," tightening his grip and adjusting his stance in mid-air. "Your story is ending, and your death is the final page."

Akira gave a weak smile, his eyes burning with anger. "You're forgetting something," he rasped. "I am your master." Deka laughed loudly. "Master? That title means nothing to me now."

With his last ounce of strength, Akira unleashed a MASSIVE, BLINDING INFERNO!

Boom!!

Flames swallowed him whole, transforming him into a raging red inferno.

He boosted himself upward, fueled by his raging fire. "Time to end this!" he snarled.

"Dekaaaa!" he roared. Deka met his charge head-on. "Akiraaaa!"

Their fists collided in mid-air with a force beyond comprehension.

Booom!! A massive deafening explosion shattered the sky!, unleashing a huge blast wave that destroyed Tokyo and its neighbouring cities. Akira had desperately tried to rise higher into the air to contain the blast, but their collision was just too powerful.

It's chilling to think what would have happened if the collision had happened on the Earth's surface.

Akira coughed, blood trickling from his lips as the explosion died down. He had managed to land a hit, but it hadn't fazed Deka. Instead, Deka's hand had torn through Akira's gut, leaving a gapping wound that seemed to be sucking the life out of him.

I did it," Deka hissed, a triumphant grin spreading across his face like a crack in a mirror. "I killed him!" he exclaimed, his voice dripping with malice

Akira gazed down at his ravaged stomach, a hollow ache in his chest that seemed to echo with the finality of his fate.

"So this is it" he thought his mind numb with shock and despair. Maybe I was the villain after all.

His flames faltered flickering weakly. Deka sneered at him, his lip curling in contempt.

"To die by the hand of the villain? When the world's fate rested on your shoulders. And everyone counted on you to save them. How pathetic. I'm ashamed I ever admired you."

Akira smiled weakly, his eyes filled with pain. "Are you satisfied now? You got your revenge."

Deka ripped his hand from Akira's gut, and Akira screamed, blood gushing from the wound like a torrent.

He whispered, "This is my payment. But what about yours?" as he started losing altitude, his body falling towards the ground. Deka shrugged, his expression uncaring. "Rot in the ashes."
