Chapter 69: Sasuke Out of Control

"Karin, don't worry about the samurai! Focus on sensing the Hokage's location!"

Karin tilted her head, glancing at Jugo. "What about the samurai? How are we dealing with them?"

Jugo raised his head and said, "I'll handle them. Finding the Hokage is the priority."

Karin, however, wasn't listening to Jugo. Her eyes were fixed on Sasuke, a deep frown forming on her face. Suddenly, her expression changed to one of shock. "Sasuke's chakra... it's different. It's so cold!"

Below, several samurai charged at Sasuke. He slowly lowered his Chidori-infused blade, but they still hesitated, unmoving. The lead samurai finally roared and lunged forward, sword raised high. Sasuke lifted his gaze, his Sharingan spinning. As the blade came down, he sidestepped with eerie precision and countered in one swift stroke. Blood splattered as the samurai's body was torn open.

The wounded samurai screamed and staggered back. Sasuke leaped into the air, twisting gracefully before landing amidst the group that had rushed to support their fallen comrade. And then, the massacre began.

Sasuke's blade carved through the air, slicing through armor and flesh alike. The samurai barely had time to react before being cut down mercilessly. Even the steel of their own swords never got the chance to clash against his. They were simply erased from existence.

The sound of cutting flesh echoed across the battlefield.

"Aghhh!"

"Guh!"

"Urk—!"

One after another, the samurai collapsed, their screams blending into the chaos.

Watching from above, Suigetsu clenched his fist and slammed it against the wall. "Tch! This guy told me not to kill, but now he's down there hacking people apart like it's nothing!"

Jugo, standing beside him, stared in shock. "This is...!"

Karin, meanwhile, shrank back behind a wall, trembling. She could feel the drastic shift in Sasuke's chakra. It wasn't just different—it was monstrous.

This wasn't the Sasuke she knew.

His chakra was thicker than when he was in his Level 2 Cursed Seal state, and it carried a bone-chilling malice that made her skin crawl.

Down below, three captain-class samurai stepped forward, eyes blazing with fury at the slaughter of their men. Without hesitation, they leapt into the air, gripping their chakra-infused swords tightly before slashing downwards, sending crescent-shaped blades of chakra hurtling toward Sasuke.

Sasuke, his expression void of emotion, lifted his sword in response. The Sharingan in his eyes remained impassive as he met their attack.

With a loud impact, the energy wave was stopped midair, kicking up a thick cloud of dust.

As the smoke cleared, Jugo stood in front of Sasuke, his left arm transformed from partial Sage Transformation, having blocked the attack with sheer brute strength.

One of the samurai captains narrowed his eyes. "There's another one! He's an accomplice!"

Meanwhile, just a floor above, the Fourth Raikage was charging forward at full speed with C and Darui close behind him.

C, keeping his sensory abilities active, reported, "There's a chakra signature down below, erasing the samurai's chakra like wildfire. That must be Sasuke!"

Raikage didn't hesitate. "Where exactly, C?!"

C focused for a moment before confirming, "Right beneath us, Lord Raikage!"

The moment the words left his mouth, the Raikage's body crackled with lightning as he surged his Raiton chakra through his muscles. Then, without warning, he raised his fist and punched straight down.

Darui wiped sweat from his brow. "Tch. Boss is wrecking the place again."

With an earth-shaking boom, Raikage's fist smashed through the floor, sending chunks of debris raining down into the battle below.

Karin's eyes widened. "Something powerful is coming!"

A loud rumbling followed as Sasuke and Jugo instantly sensed the incoming attack. Looking up, they saw a mass of stone and debris crashing toward them. The two leapt away just in time to avoid being crushed.

Suigetsu and Karin also turned toward the destruction, their expressions grim.

As the dust settled, the imposing figure of the Raikage stood among the wreckage, his eyes locking onto Sasuke. He spotted the sword in Sasuke's hand, crackling with Chidori's power, then focused on the eyes staring back at him. Sharingan. There was no mistaking it.

Raikage gritted his teeth, ripped off his cloak, and tossed it aside, revealing his bare upper body, his muscles pulsing with electricity. His Lightning Release armor flared, amplifying his strength and speed even further.

"Brat...! Let me show you what real fear looks like!"

Sasuke narrowed his eyes. "Hmph. You think you can intimidate me?"

With that, he rushed forward, blade in hand.

"Sasuke, don't rush in alone!" Suigetsu yelled from above.

Jugo tensed. "He's lost his composure...!"

Despite facing the might of the Raikage, Sasuke didn't falter. He leaped forward, aiming a high-speed slash at his opponent.

Raikage didn't move an inch, watching the young Uchiha with calculated focus.

Darui, however, was already forming hand seals. "Suiton: Water Barrier!"

A massive water barrier erupted from his mouth, blocking Sasuke's attack mid-air. Then, Darui followed up immediately.

"Raiton: Lighting sparks!"

A wave of electricity surged through the water, traveling straight toward Sasuke. The moment it made contact, his body convulsed violently, sparks flying as the electrical current surged through him.

The force of the attack sent Sasuke flying backward, landing hard near Jugo. Yet, to Darui's surprise, Sasuke quickly rose to his feet, as if the attack had barely fazed him.

Darui's eyes narrowed. "Just as intel suggested... Lightning and Fire affinity."

C nodded. "Expect him to use Katon next. Stay prepared."

Karin clenched her fists. "They have his battle data. This isn't good."

Suigetsu's eyes widened in realization. "The one in the middle... there's no way..."

Jugo, now at Sasuke's side, remained on high alert. "The one covered in Raiton chakra is the Raikage. The two beside him are Kumogakure's Jōnin. Sasuke, this isn't an opponent you can underestimate!"

Without hesitation, C formed a hand seal. "Raiton: Raigen Raikōchū!"

A sudden blinding flash lit up the battlefield, momentarily disorienting Jugo and the others. But the moment Jugo's vision cleared, his stomach dropped.

Raikage had already moved.

With terrifying speed, he closed the distance and drove his fist into Sasuke's torso, slamming him straight through the floor.

Jugo's eyes widened. "Sasuke!!"

In the midst of the chaos, a familiar sound echoed—the distinct turning of the Sharingan.

Sasuke's voice, low and cold, cut through the air. "Jugo... snap out of it."

C smirked. "Impressive. You saw through my Genjutsu... but it's already too late."

Raikage and Darui surged forward. One from the left, the other from the right. A crushing punch and a cleaving blade.

Their target? Sasuke Uchiha.
