Sitting in the back seat of the luxurious Rolls-Royce, I felt like I had been thrown into an entirely different world. Just a few hours ago, I was living my usual life—worrying about rent, scraping by with cheap meals, and wearing the same worn-out clothes. Now, I was sitting beside Eldest Sister (Sophia), a woman who was both breathtakingly elegant and unfathomably rich.
The car smelled like the faint scent of jasmine, mixed with the rich leather of the seats. Outside the window, the city passed by in a blur as we sped towards our destination.
Sophia turned to me with a warm smile. "You must be feeling overwhelmed, little brother."
I swallowed. "A little."
She chuckled softly. "That's normal. But don't worry, from now on, you will never have to worry about anything. All you need to do is enjoy life and rely on us."
Her tone was so gentle, so affectionate, that for a moment, I almost believed this was a dream.
"By the way," she continued, "before we go home, there's something important we need to do first."
I glanced at her. "What is it?"
Sophia smiled mysteriously. "We need to update your entire wardrobe. Clothes, shoes, accessories—everything."
My breath hitched. "W-What? That's not necessary, I can just—"
Sophia raised a perfectly manicured finger. "Shh. No arguing. My little brother can't walk around in those old clothes anymore. It would be an insult to our family's name."
I looked down at my outfit—an old hoodie, faded jeans, and sneakers with torn laces. Compared to her flawless designer dress and diamond earrings, I must have looked like a street beggar.
I sighed. "Alright…"
Sophia's eyes softened. "Good boy."
I shuddered at how effortlessly she took control of the situation. It felt both comforting and slightly terrifying.
Within minutes, we arrived at Pearl Crown Mall, the most luxurious shopping center in the entire city.
I had heard of this place before—but only in rumors. Celebrities, billionaires, and high-ranking officials shopped here. The stores inside didn't even display price tags because the people who shopped here never needed to ask for prices.
As soon as we stepped out of the car, the staff at the entrance immediately bowed.
"Welcome, Miss Sophia!"
A manager in a tailored suit rushed forward. "Miss Sophia, we have already prepared a VIP shopping suite for you and your esteemed brother!"
Wait… they already knew we were coming?
Before I could process that, Sophia lightly placed a hand on my back and guided me forward. "Let's go, little brother. Today, we're going to make sure you look like the prince you are."
I gulped.
We were led into a private, ultra-luxurious shopping lounge. The moment we entered, an entire team of stylists, tailors, and assistants lined up to greet us.
"Miss Sophia, we have prepared the finest selections for your brother."
I turned to Sophia. "Isn't this a bit too much?"
She chuckled. "Nothing is too much for our baby brother."
I sighed in defeat.
Before I could protest further, a group of attendants began pulling me into the dressing area.
For the next hour, I was forced to try on dozens of outfits—luxury suits, custom-fitted shirts, casual designer wear, and even formal tuxedos.
Sophia sat on a plush velvet sofa, watching me like a queen overseeing a royal transformation. Every time I walked out in a new outfit, she nodded approvingly.
After what felt like an eternity, Sophia finally stood up and walked towards me.
She adjusted my collar, then stepped back to admire her work. "Perfect."
I looked at myself in the mirror and almost didn't recognize the man staring back at me.
Gone was the scruffy, poor college student.
In his place stood a young man dressed in a tailored white dress shirt, black trousers, and polished leather shoes that probably cost more than my rent for a year.
I swallowed hard.
Was this really me?
"Now for accessories," Sophia said.
She led me to a high-end watch boutique. The moment we entered, the staff greeted her like royalty.
"Miss Sophia, we have reserved the most exclusive collections for you!"
Sophia turned to me. "You need a proper watch. Something elegant, yet commanding."
I stared at the rows of luxury timepieces. Some were simple, others encrusted with diamonds, but all of them looked unbelievably expensive.
An older salesman approached us. "May I suggest this limited edition Patek Philippe Grand Complications model? It is a handcrafted masterpiece, valued at three million dollars."
I nearly choked.
Three million?! For a watch?!
"Sophia, I can't wear something like this—"
She placed a finger against my lips. "Shh. You can. And you will."
She took the watch and gently strapped it onto my wrist. "This suits you."
I hesitated. "But—"
She smiled. "No buts. You are our family's treasure. You deserve the best."
I clenched my jaw. Her words carried so much affection that I couldn't argue anymore.
"Alright," I whispered.
Sophia beamed. "Good boy."
After the watch, we went to the electronics section.
Sophia handed me the latest smartphone, tablet, laptop, and even a pair of custom-made noise-canceling headphones.
"From now on, you'll only use the best," she said.
At this point, I was too exhausted to argue.
With dozens of shopping bags in hand, we finally left the mall.
The Rolls-Royce drove us towards my new home—a massive, private mansion that looked like a palace.
As we arrived, my father, stepmother, and my six other sisters were already waiting at the entrance.
The moment I stepped out of the car, I was immediately surrounded.
"Little brother!"
"You're finally here!"
"You look so handsome!"
I barely had time to react before six different women hugged me at the same time.
Sophia chuckled beside me. "Ladies, let him breathe."
They finally released me, but their excited eyes never left me.
My father smiled. "Welcome home, son."
My stepmother walked forward and gently stroked my cheek. "From now on, this is your family. We will love and protect you… always."
Looking around at their warm smiles, I felt something deep in my chest.
For the first time in years, I wasn't alone anymore.
I had a family.
A crazy, billionaire, overly affectionate family…
But a family nonetheless.
