The night was silent, but the tension crackled like a live wire.
The Vipers had set the perfect bait. Now, all they had to do was watch her take it.
The First Move
Istanbul's underground auction was buzzing with the elite of the criminal world. Smugglers, arms dealers, traffickers—monsters in tailored suits.
But tonight, they weren't the predators. They were prey.
Veer stood in the shadows, eyes sharp as a hawk, dressed in an expensive black suit, blending in with the corrupt elite. Rudra and Zayan were stationed strategically around the auction house, disguised as guards. Karan, hidden in a van outside, had every security feed in the building under his control.
"Still no sign of her," Karan muttered through the earpiece.
"She won't come herself," Veer said coolly. "But her shadow will."
The Arrival of the Phantom
Then—movement.
A man entered. Not just any man.
Dressed in an immaculate white suit, he walked like he owned the world. Cold. Precise. Dangerous.
"Target confirmed," Karan whispered. "That's Kamal Sehrawat. Her fixer. Her right-hand man."
Rudra exhaled slowly. "If he's here, she's watching."
Sehrawat moved to the VIP section, a glass of wine in hand, completely unfazed by the chaos the Vipers had been causing in his employer's empire. That meant one thing—she had a backup plan.
"Something's wrong," Veer said, eyes narrowing. "He looks too calm."
Karan's fingers flew across his keyboard. "Wait—holy shit. The auction is a setup."
The Trap Within the Trap
Before the words fully registered, the doors slammed shut. The sound of automatic locks engaging echoed in the room. The guests looked around, murmurs of unease spreading like wildfire.
Then, the lights cut out.
A single voice, soft yet chilling, rang through the room over the intercom. A woman's voice.
"Whoever dared to interfere with my business…" A pause. Then a quiet, amused laugh. "I hope you didn't expect to leave alive."
The Vipers had been hunting a ghost.
But tonight—the ghost hunted them.
The Escape or the End?
Rudra immediately took position, his fingers tightening around his rifle. "We need to move. Now."
Karan's voice came through, tense. "They've jammed my access. I can't unlock the doors. You're locked in with them."
Veer exhaled, unbuttoning his suit jacket as he took a step forward. "Then we do it the old-fashioned way."
Zayan grinned, cracking his neck. "Good. I was getting bored."
Then—gunfire erupted.
The room exploded into chaos as masked men stormed in from every corner, their weapons trained on the guests. Not an auction. A slaughter.
But they had made a mistake.
They had locked the Vipers inside with them.
And you never see the Viper coming.
