THAT DREAM LIFE I DON'T WANT.

Heather's pov;

I had woken up to the sound of orchestra playing outside the door. The sun ray seeping into the room the room through the gap in my curtain made me feel some warmth. The orchestra kept playing like the hums of bees in my ears disrupting my sleep. I screamed signaling the discomfort I felt and in a instant the music instrument went from harmonic to frenzy and the door burst open first the guards barged in and then followed by my parents.

My mum ran to my bed gradually rubbing my cheek and my disheveled hair. "Sweetie what's the problem didn't you like the surprise? She inquired pulling me into a bear hug as my dad leaned on the counter his expression as cold as always. "Come on sweet speak to me don't make mom worry.

I stood up raking my hair in panic before walking to close the open door. "You may leave us guards. I said calmly before shutting the door. "Mom I can't adjust to this kind of life you want from me. I mean.....the music was nice but that wasn't necessary.

My dad looked me curiously as his gaze swept over me in a concerned manner which he tried to conceal. "Didn't you like the orchestra or it wasn't to your taste. If so then consider it changed I'll hire the best of best from Italy for you. He promised kissing my forehead.

I groaned before throwing myself on my bed. "That's the problem I don't like orchestra or any of this I want to live my life like a normal kid not some spoilt princess. I replied in a bristle tone which made my parents shocked but their expression became calm and soothing.

Mum walked up to me before holding my hand. "Baby we are just trying to make you happy and fulfill our duties as your parents in giving you the good life and that's all so please enjoy it alright.

I nodded approvingly before watching my parents walk away as they ordered me to come down for breakfast.

AT THE BREAKFAST TABLE.

The dinning room was a marvel and a huge testament to wealth. The silverwares, ceramics and the glass cups were finely and firmly arranged with golden spoon next to each plates. The aroma of the food filled the dinning room and the maids meticulously arranged each of the items needed before stepping into the kitchen.

I had watched in delight and little bit of wonder because I was wondering when things had changed and how my parents who usually loved to manage things carefully where now some changed diplomats with less tolerance for slagging and delays.

The head maid fished out everyone's food and we all began to eat quietly without sparring each other a quick glance.

I got bored and quickly cleared my throat to gain my parents attention once again but this time I was glared at. "Hey why the glare I just think everyone is as boring as my poker face doll. I said chewing nervously on my food. "Like we used to chat over our meals, run around and we didn't have so many slaves around what changed?

My dad stared at me for a while before signalling my mum who also frowned at my behaviour. "Young lady you're the daughter of the Claus family and an heiress to the royale which is our own home in the palace. She replied before signalling a maid to pour her some glass of water.

My dad wiped his mouth with the wipe on the dinner table before clearing his throat once again. "Sweet heart why did you leave the party like that yesterday, do you know that something terrible could have happened to you already. He remarks trying to maintain his cold expression. "Don't worry from today henceforth you'll be schooling with Magnus your new guard and his team escorting you to school and you have no way about it because it's final.

I stared at the fierce looking man with a black hair tied to a tight ponytail. His left eyes were slightly cut with a blade and I even wondered how he managed to see after that wound.

"Daddy please don't send me to school with the guards I'll be good and besides I don't want special treatment because I'm your daughter I want to make good friends and be normal. I begged winking at my mum. "Mommy please beg your husband..... I don't want to.

My mum held my dad's arm and he carried her hand into his arm caressing it. "Darling you can't the last time she was normal....it costs her three whole years and I can't risk it. He replied adamantly and I knew he wouldn't agree because he was brutally stubborn but the love he had for my mum would always overcome it.

"Babe please would you be less stubborn and agree like if she's treated specially there be a lot of fake won't there be? She asked sitting on his laps before winking at me. "Don't worry Marcus can stand guards in case of monitoring her but she is old enough to go to University.

My dad nods in agreement his expression becoming soft and calm. "For your mother's sake I'll agree if that makes you happy but promise me you won't keep any secrets nor will you communicate with anyone from the Lancaster family. He warned glaring at me. "The university is none other than the Royal Von university.

"Isn't that like the best university in the country only for elites? I asked fidgeting my fingers.

My dad nods paying me no attention as all his eyes were fixated on mom. "Yes it is cupcake and you deserve it just please do as I say or you'll be homeschooled. He threatened making me shiver nervously.

"Yes dad I promise I won't. I promised jubilantly. "I won't let you down!

"Alright sit down and enjoy your breakfast and then go the tailor would be here any minute so prepare to get measured. Mum said between her kisses with dad before walking back to her seat.

I smiled nervously before chewing on the fruit cake. The deliciousness flooded my mouth and I could only nod in satisfaction as my parents giggled my outburst of expression.
