Memories

It was but another gloomy and rainy day. It has been raining seen yesterday. It's been a week since my trip to Averia and I was still excited and couldn't stop enjoying my new necklace. It was not only extremely beautiful but also very precious to me since it held valuable memories about this trip and was a gift from my Mum as well.

I had already finished all of my studies and trainings for today and didn't have anything to do, so I was just looking out of the window and thinking about anything that came to my mind. Also, speaking of last trip, I recall the times when I was way younger and had no less exciting trips.

I remember like it was yesterday but I still can't believe that a few years has already passed. Oh, I miss it so much, it was so much fun, haha.

A few years ago:

Unlike most of the times, this trip was to another city that is a very big trade place because of its location. Kenua is a big and prosperous city due to its economic importance, yet it is close to borders so the guard there is really good, that also decreased crime rate in the city. Because of that and high amount tourists this city has a lot of different cafés, restaurants, shops with different foreign items, beautiful parks due to its nature and other important government organizations.

Because of the nature and a lot of new foreign things to explore, Mum and I came here for yet another trip. This time we were having a good time in one of the most beautiful parks in the country, if not on the whole continent. It is so vast, that even some wild animals are said to live in the forest, which is a part of the park and a smaller minor river that is connected to the main one. Yet, people aren't afraid to visit this place even despite the possible danger because the paths where you walk and nearby territories are protected by magic.

When we first arrived there, I was stunned no less than I first saw the capital. The fanciness and beauty of the city are on the same level as those of the Averia's. Good part of the day we spent wondering around the city, my head wanted to fall off since I was constantly turning it left and right as I wanted to see as much as possible.

After having a lunch in one of the restaurants with some foreign cuisine, which was tasty but I wasn't sure if I liked it, we headed to the park. But that day we only visited the part that is in the city, the safer part.

The park was magnificent, it was an astonishing combination of wild forest and human-made park. The trail was well maintained, there also were a huge and spacious lawn along the way, fair amount of benches and gazebos as well as a small café midway in case you wanted to eat or drink something. In addition, the blossom of flowers, which were all over the place but not too much, has made it even better.

There were quite a lot of people but because of the gigantic size park was still more peaceful than you would ever think of it.

Yet, while playing around and having fun, I still managed to bump into someone. I guess it's my talent to bump into people.

But this time it was a kid no older than me. She was a girl with beautiful long white hair like my Mum's but with mesmerizing eyes like rubies and a pair of pointy ears that only made her look even better. She was wearing a long dress and had a pretty face.

"Hey, are you okay? I am extremely sorry for that." I apologized, worried if she is okay. She didn't look like she was sick, but she seemed to be a small, fragile, beautiful girl, that I thought might brake if not to be careful.

"Ah, don't worry. I am fine, and I also apologize. I didn't saw you and bumped into you, I am sorry. Are you also fine?" Her voice was wonderful, so wonderful that I couldn't describe it with simple words, before it happened only once, with my Mum's voice and appearance.

"Oh, I fine as well. By the way, are also playing here, in this park?" I asked curiously.

"Yes, she is right over there, already coming here! And what about you?"

"Me too!" I said, but before I could continue, my Mum interrupted, worried by what she had seen, she asked me:

"Domi, are you okay? Is that little girl also fine?"

"Yes, Mum. We are both fine."

"That's a relief."

And now it was this girl's Mum who asked us, coming quickly to us: "Darling, are you alright?"

"I am fine, Mum. Don't worry too much, we only bumped into each other, there is nothing to be worried about."

"Oh, yeah, I guess you are right. Anyway, I am glad that you are okay." Girl's Mum said, with a smile on her face and then she turned to my Mum and me: "Also I want to apologize for this little inconvenience. I hope that it won't be an issue for you." She bowed her head.

Then my Mum replied with a slight gentle smile: "No need to apologize, the kids were just playing and having fun. Besides they are all unharmed, so don't worry about that."

"Yes, I shouldn't take everything to the heart. Regardless, if we so happened to meet, maybe our kids want to play together? We only moved to Kenua a month ago and don't have anyone to play with yet."

"Hmm, that sounds like a good idea. I am for it, if they can make new friends. What do you think, Domi?"

"I am in! My name is Dominique, it's nice to meet you!" I was super excited to my first friend of my age.

"My name is Alice, it's nice to meet you, too! Let's go play together!"

"Yes! Let's go!"

And so, we ran to the lawn nearby the road, while our mothers went to a gazebo near a small café that overlooked the lawn.

We have been playing all the day with only a little rest to come and eat some snack along with drinking water or tea. We were having a great fun and when it was already the time to say goodbye, we were resisting this moment as much as possible, yet the fate cannot be changed and we eventually said goodbye.

When Mum and I were riding a carriage, I have been talking for more than an hour about the adventures I had that day. I also couldn't stop talking about our next meeting that our Mums arranged for the next weekend.

After I finally calmed down, my body started making me understand the fact that I used way too much energy today. Me eyelashes were becoming heavier and heavier, as well as my hands and feet. My body was exhausted, after less than half an hour I was already asleep.

And so, this day met his end, but a new story found its beginning. Who knew that this little friendship will end up like this in the future.

To be continued…
