Haru’s World Fading
Haru’s world blurred in and out of focus. His body felt weightless, yet every nerve screamed with unbearable pain. Before the darkness swallowed him, he heard faint shouting—Rei’s voice, desperate and panicked. The warmth of strong arms carried him, and then everything slipped away.
Rushing to the Hospital
Rei sprinted through the streets, Haru’s limp body slung over his shoulder. His breath was ragged, his heart pounding like it would burst from his chest. Blood soaked through his clothes, dripping onto the pavement and leaving a crimson trail behind them. Pedestrians gasped and stepped aside, some pulling out their phones in shock.
The moment Rei burst through the hospital doors, doctors and nurses froze, their eyes widening at the sight of him—a man drenched in blood, carrying someone broken beyond recognition, yet somehow still breathing.
“Someone, help him!” Rei’s voice was raw, nearly cracking.
