New comers and love triangles

I woke up the next morning and my head was terribly aching. I couldn't remember what happened last night, I moaned in exhaustion then I took my phone to check the time and my eyes widened when I saw that it was noon. I cursed in my mind and thanked God it wasn't a workday cause I would be so fired. I went to the bathroom and took a cold shower and by then my headache had stopped. I got dressed in grey sweatpants and a tank top then I brushed my hair into a pony tail and a memory flash from last night hit me and I shook my forehead and smiled.

"Knock! Knock!" Dad said, and I turned then he came inside "Are you okay?" He asked me and I nodded, "You hadn't come out of your room since morning so I was worried" He said, "I'm fine" I replied, "Sorry, I got home so late yesterday. I didn't get a chance to see you" He told me "Its okay. I had been out anyways" I said. "There's someone here to see you by the way" He said "Hmm, who?" I asked. "Our neighbour from 5th grade" He said, "Who?!" I asked raising my eyebrow "Heh....heh!" He laughed "Just come meet our guest" He said and he left.

"5th grade?" I wondered, "Neighbour?" "What?" I thought scratching the center of my head. After sometime I got out of my room and went downstairs and found my dad speaking to some guy. He was a bit tall,dark hair,green eyes and ooh! he's smiling let's add knock-dead smile to the list. When I reached the living room I looked at both of them in turns and I was expecting an introduction. "Oh! Right. Lee this is Alec our neighbour and your friend from 5th grade" My dad said then I still looked shell shocked "He moved when you were in 5th grade" He said, "Lee don't you remember me?" He asked me and I stared at him and tried to recall as hard as I can.

"Alec" I said with a light bulb expression on my face "Like tuba Alec" I said and he nodded then smiled "Tuba Alec?" Dad asked "Yeah" I replied while laughing "Well, he was a part of the middle school band and he got his head stuck in the tuba. Which no one has an idea how and everyone has been callin' him tuba Alec since then" I told him. Dad laughed "Well, why don't you kids catch up. I've got somewhere to be" He said and I frowned "Don't worry, cupcake hmm......I promise starting tomorrow I'll make it up to you" He told me "I have work tomorrow dad" I whined.

He smiled "We'll figure it out alright?" He said pinching my cheek then he gave me a hug and left. I sat on the couch and for a minute everyone was just quiet then Alec cleared his throat. "So ah......how have you been?" He asked me, "Good,good" I replied "So you work now?" He asked "Yeah,yeah I do" I said "Where?" He asked "Oh yeah, uhm.....CIS as a nutritionist actually" I said and he nodded. "What about you?" I asked "Well, when I moved from here I went to New York to live with my dad and after college I decided that I should come back here and crash at my mom's....you know" He said and I nodded.

"So I got a job as an accountant" He told me, "Were we that close?" I asked "What?!" He asked, "When we were kids" I said "Well, we spoke a few times. You were never really a people-person so...." He said, "But you were always really smart" He added then I chuckled. "Whaat!" I said and his expression turned dull "Do you remember that day at the cafeteria?" He asked, "What day?" I asked curious "There was this girl who use to make fun of me, her name was Julia" He started "Oh! I remember Julia, she used to think she was smarter than everybody at school" I said.

"Well, I was standing at the middle of the cafeteria when she bumped into me and tossed my food on the floor on purpose and everyone else laughed" He said then I frowned. Poor guy I thought, "But you...." He stopped "Me? Don't tell me I was in on it too?" I asked him shell shocked "No" He chuckled "You came up to me and you said" He said then a flashback stopped me from listening to him. I went up to Alec well 5th grade me went up to him and I told him "Don't worry, Alec you can have my lunch" then I looked at Alec "I gave you my lunch" I asked.

He nodded "You were really nice" He said "Then what happened?" I asked him "I don't know you just disappeared. You were like my guardian angel" He told me. Last night's memory came to me "Are you my guardian angel?" I said then I shook it away. "Do you wanna go outside, take a walk or something?" I asked him "Sure why not" He replied shrugging then we stepped outside the house and began walking. "So where we goin' ?" He asked, "I don't know where would you want to go?" I asked "The beach" We said in unison and I looked at him surprised.

Was I thinking out loud again, "No way. The beach's my favourite place" I said, "Mine too" He said "I use to go there everyday after school and every saturday" He told me "What? No kidding!" I said smiling. "It was where I believed to be safe from Julia" He said, we walked and talked even laughed a few times all the way to the beach. We competed on who would be the first to collect shells, we sat on the sand and watched the sunset. "This is always my favourite part of the end of the day at the beach" I said. After the sunset it was already dark so we left the beach and my stomach started growling and Alec chuckled and I could feel my face getting red.

"Are you hungry?" He asked smiling "I guess so" I shrugged, he chuckled "What are you ten?" He said. I stared at him "I'm a grown adult" I replied, "Then why are you being childish? Its okay to admit if you're hungry" He said, "What!" I said in confusion. "Come on, I know this great place" He said "Oh no! I forgot my wallet" I said anxiously "Don't worry, my treat" He said "Are you sure?" I asked "Yeah. I owe you one anyways" He said. "I'm 23 by the way" I told him then he chuckled and held my hand and I stared up at him and he smiled at me.

We arrived at the restaurant Alec took me to "What is this place?" I asked, "Pep palace" He said, "As in pepperoni palace" He said "Oh my God! I love pizza how did you know?" I asked. "I didn't" He said, "I just happen to love pizza myself. So I thought of coming here" He told me. We got inside and we sat down and ordered and the pizza came and we began eating. "AH!" I exclaimed in delight, "This pizza is the bomb!" I said "Always is" He said "Right!" I replied biting on another slice.

Raph's POV~

I was so tired from this meeting I went to today in another state and I was now heading home. "God! Its late" I thought, "Can't you go any faster Brian?" I told my chauffeur then I sighed in exhaustion then I looked out the window and I saw Lee, wait what ahh! Maybe I was just thinking of her too much. But no it was Lee, I wasn't seeing things and I wondered if she was okay "Brian, stop the car" I said and I got out then went inside the restaurant she was in. Before I reached where she was sitting I saw a guy infront of her and I wondered who he was.

At first I wanted to leave but I decided to approach them. "Hey. Lee" I said smiling, "Raphael!" She said smiling but she looked shocked "What are you doing here?" She asked, "You don't want me to be here" I said and she chuckled "No,no sit,sit" She said scooching over then I sat. "Uhm! Alec this is my boss, Raphael this is Alec my friend from school" She introduced us. "Raph, what are you doing here at this time?" She asked me "Shouldn't I be asking you that" I said and she raised an eyebrow at me "I was from a meeting and I saw you through the window on my way home and thought I should say hi" I said.

"On sunday?" Alec asked and I looked at him, "It was a very important meeting Adam" I said "Its Alec" He said "Whatever" I said. "And why are you dressed like that?" He asked, "Shouldn't you be in a suit and tie or something?"He asked. I rolled my eyes and Lee glared at me, "Oh, he doesn't do that actually" She said then Alec nodded. "So do you remember that day when Mr.Olson........" Alec started and they drifted into a conversation which I wasn't a part of. There was a lot of laughter involved, she looked really happy and I was like a third wheel. Why did I even come here? huh! I sighed. There was a time when Alec wanted to hold Lee's hand which was on the table then I cleared my throat.

"Soo Alec" I said loudly and he got startled and withdrew his hand and I let out a silent sigh of relief. "How was it like, middle school and all?" I asked, Oh man! What was that? Of course I was just looking for an excuse to stop Alec from holding Lee's arm. "It was the worst years of my life" He shrugged, "Ah! Yeah, who needs school anyways right? Now we're free of all that bully shit right?" I said. Maan, I was going down south faster than a tortoise in a rabbit race "I guess so" He said looking at me like I was awkward which I don't blame him.

"I think I should go" I said then I got up, "Raph" Lee called "Yeah" I said, "Drive safe" She told me. "Don't worry" I said, yeah since Brian's driving me so.....I'll be fine then I got outside and head for the car. I shut the door and got comfy on the seat, "Sir!" Brian said not facing me "Home Brian" I said and we drove off.
