Chapter 61

Tatiana watched Sadie descend the stairs, a bundle of blankets cradled securely in her arms. She looked tired, but her smile was full of warmth and love, her bundle gently stirred.

Everything else faded away as soon as Tatiana held Logan in her arms. His tiny face peeked out from under the blankets, his eyes wide and curious. When he wiggled and let out an adorable gurgle, Tatiana knew she was madly in love with him.

“I just fed him,” Sadie said softly, her smile widening as she watched Tatiana’s reaction. “So he should be happy for a while.”

Tatiana nodded, but her throat was too tight to speak. Tears welled in her eyes as she gazed down at the tiny, perfect baby in her arms. As much as she tried to hold them back, emotions spilled over.

She wiped her cheeks quickly, embarrassed by her sudden tears, but Sadie smiled and stepped forward to hug her, wrapping Tatiana and Logan in her embrace.
