Your bond is getting stronger.

In a large hall with a beautiful large Candelabra in the shape of a butterfly. The family of six was sitting and having their breakfast on a large golden rectangular table. At the head of the table is the king dressed in an expensive navy-blue tailored suit. Next to him is the queen, a very beautiful woman with shiny red hair and bright and clear sea-green eyes. On each of their sides seated three beautiful daughters and a very handsome son.

“Jordan, where is your necklace?” her enticing and calm voice resounded through the dining room. “It is being cleaned, I got blood on it when I was killing a witch.” His fine amber eyes crinkled as he smiled. Jordan found out that he left his necklace at the girl’s place last night, he has already informed Chris to go get back his necklace.

“Willow’s future-in-law will be here next week, is everything under control?” the king asked. He signalled a maid, and she walked over and elegantly poured grape wine into his cup. “Yes, Father, everything is in order," Jordan replied and the king nodded his head. Willow’s face flushed red as she heard her father, her younger sister, who had the same amber eyes as Jordan, nudged her arm and chuckled. “Is Mariel, ok?” the queen’s voice was barely audible. The atmosphere in the dining room changed to a mournful kind. The entire dining hall became as quiet as a graveyard. “She’s fine, locked up and heavily guarded,” Jordan said before sipping his wine.

“You know what I am asking about, I hope she didn’t get hurt because of your plan!” the queen raised her voice. “Calm down, dear, don’t anger Jordan. Everything he does is for our family.” The king coaxed her. “If you want to get angry, get angry at yourself. Your daughter got cursed because of you.” Jordan looked into his mother’s sea-green eyes.

The queen gasped, and her spoon fell from her hand, and a scattering sound was heard. “Brother, how can you say that!” Willow, the oldest amongst the girls, looked at her older brother in disbelief. “Isn’t that the truth? She killed another woman’s child, and the woman cursed her own.” The queen turned paler after each word he said. The queen stood up, and a screeching sound was made by her chair. The sound of her heels vibrated through the walls of the dining room as she strode away.

“Are you happy, you made Mother sad.? The fourth born said to him. When he glared at her she immediately lowered her eyes. The king sighed before he stood up and went after his queen. Uncomfortable silence reigned in the dining hall. Jordan continued to eat his breakfast like nothing happened.

The bell rang and school was over. Sasha pulled Nora along with her and introduced her to some girls. “Grace, Marilyn, and Charity, I want you to meet my cousin, Nora.” Sasha pushed Nora forward. “Hi.” Nora waved at them. “It's nice to meet you, Nora; welcome to Dream City.” Charity and Grace were friendly but Marilyn kept her distance.

Jordan was walking through the corridor when he almost bumped into a woman dressed in a white medieval gown. “Isari, is a surprise seeing you in the palace.” Jordan flashed her an obvious fake smile. “Yes, the king invited me to find an auspicious day for Willows's wedding and I also see that everyone is busy preparing.”

Jordan hummed. “Well, good luck with it.” Jordan walked past her. “I see the bond between you and your mate is very strong.” Jordan halted and craned his neck to look at her. “What are you talking about?” Jordan’s voice sounded threatening. But Isari remained unfazed. “Last night when the full moon was bright and clear, you bit into a young girl's neck.” Isari strode and stood in front of him. “I drank from one of my citizens do not bring stupid romance into it.” He came closer and said it in a low voice.

“You can deny it all you want, but the bond between the two of you is getting stronger, and your people and outsiders have started to feel it,” Isari said in a low voice before walking away. Jordan punched the pillar, and it split into two, causing the ceiling in that part to fall.

Nora waited outside the school with Sasha’s bag hanging in her hand. She now understood why her uncle convulsed, and she still found everything hard to believe; she saw a black limousine parked in front of the school. The driver got out and went ahead to open the passenger door. It also caught the attention of other students planning to go home. A handsome young black man stepped out, he’s tall, slender, and wearing a long black jacket and plain black pants. Nora frowned when she saw that he was coming in her direction. Stood in front of her.

His clear grey eyes looked straight into hers. “My name is Christopher, I am the Crown Prince's right-hand man.” He subconsciously bowed to her. He quickly stood up straight and blinked in surprise.

‘The man in my room last night is the crown prince.’ Nora was too caught up in her thoughts, to notice what was happening in front of her. “I am here by the order of the king to retrieve the necklace he left at your place last night.” If anybody heard what he said they would have thought that she was in a relationship with the prince. “I do not have it with me; even if I do, I wouldn’t give it to you,” Nora said in a serious tone.

“Why is that?” Chris asked. “Tell him, that he has to come get it himself.” Chris's face was expressionless as he looked at her. “He snuck into my room in the middle of the night, almost gave me a heart attack and almost drained me dry. So yes, if he wants his necklace back he will have to come get it himself.” Chris was getting impatient. He began to walk closer to her. “I advise you to give me the necklace while I am still being kind.” “If you take a step closer, I will scream.” Nora stepped back. “I am a knight, no one will arrest me for trying to take blood from you.” He said in a low voice. “Who said I was going for that? Who would people believe, a teenage girl who is crying and shaking from fear of almost getting molested or a guy who denies it.” Chris frowned. “Go and tell your crown prince to come take his necklace.” Chris bowed again. Sasha saw the receding figure of Chris and ran towards Nora. “who is the man?” she collected her backpack from Nora.”

“He was looking for someone.” Nora lied to her. “Let’s go home.” Sasha dragged her by the hand.

Jordan was supervising the arrangements for the arrival of their guests. Chris came beside him and slightly bowed his head. Jordan stretched out his hand. Chris cleared his throat. “I couldn’t get it back.” Jordan frowned. “What did you say, I didn’t seem to hear you.” Chris couldn’t look at him. “She said that you should come get your necklace yourself,” Chris said in a very low voice out of shame. “Chris, did you perhaps hit your head? You have fought with werewolves, vampires, and stronger creatures, and yet you could take a necklace from a teenage girl!” Chris was too ashamed to look up.

“I will go back..” “No need.” Jordan cuts in. he starts to walk away. “When the time comes, I will get it myself.” Chris felt like falling into a hole. “I couldn’t refuse her words.” Jordan stopped and turned to look at him. “What do you mean?” Jordan asked as he went closer. “When I got there, I found myself bowing to her, and when she commanded me to leave I found myself obeying it.” The expression on Jordan’s face gets uglier with every passing moment.

“I still don’t get why, and I didn’t even think of compelling her.” Chris was in deep thought.

Jordan remembered what Isari said and he did not like it one bit.

When Nora got home, she went into her room and pulled down the collar of her pink knitted sweater to look at the bite mark. Nora was surprised to see that it had taken the shape of a crescent moon, and when the sunlight touched it, it turned silver-like. “Just what is this?” Nora asked as she kept staring at it.

In a scaring-looking old abandoned mansion. A young lady with long curly black hair entered one of the rooms in the mansion. The only source of light was the five candles that kept flickering because of the wind coming in through the shattered window. “My lady.” The young girl went on her knees and lowered her head. The woman on the old tattered couch was burnt. “I heard from a friend that the gods have decided to punish Jordan by giving him a weak mate.” The young girl informed the woman. The candlelight reflected on her disfigured face. She smiled and looked down at the girl. “Find out who the girl is; we will use her to get our revenge.” The disfigured witch couldn’t contain her happiness.
