Prologue : The Past

In a forgotten era, before the world map was filled with glittering kingdoms, there lay a barren land ruled by small, warring tribes. In the midst of this chaos, Haidar appeared, an ambitious young man who was hungry for power. He had charming charisma and cunning intelligence, a deadly combination that would change history forever.

Haidar observed, with a calculating eye, that the key to conquering this land lied in Serena, a witch both feared and respected. Serena had incredible magical powers, able to manipulate the elements and see the future. Whoever succeeded in controlling Serena, would control the destiny of this land.

So began Haidar's play. He approached Serena with false sincerity, praising her beauty, wisdom, and magical powers. He composed words as sweet as honey, weaving a web of praise that made Serena fall in love. Slowly, Serena, who was lonely and longing for love, began to open her heart to Haidar. She believed that Haidar was a sincere hero, who wanted to use her powers for good.

One night, under the pale moon, Haidar took Serena to a high cliff overlooking the sea. He promised to bring her the stars in the sky. Serena laughed, lulled into false happiness. That's when, with quick and merciless movements, Haidar pushed Serena over the edge.

Serena's scream was cut off by the crashing of the waves. Haidar looked down, making sure his opponent was gone. With Serena gone, the path to power was wide open.

Haidar, with an air of false heroism, announced Serena's death as a tragic accident. He claimed that Serena had fallen into the sea while they were out for a walk. He appointed himself the heir to Serena's power, and promised to use that power to unite the divided land.

Not long afterward, Haidar met Alice, a beautiful and authoritative noblewoman. Alice was fascinated by Haidar's good looks and charisma, and tempted by his ambition. He saw in Haidar a king capable of giving him glory.

Their relationship developed rapidly, and their marriage was an important milestone in the formation of the new kingdom. Together with Alice, Haidar founded the Kingdom of Atlas, an empire built on a foundation of betrayal and deceit. Haidar was crowned King Haidar, and Alice became Queen Alice.

The Kingdom of Atlas developed rapidly under the leadership of King Haidar and Queen Alice. They ruled with an iron fist, conquering small tribes and uniting the land under one flag. The Kingdom of Atlas became a feared power, and Haidar's name was both respected and reviled.

From the marriage of King Haidar and Queen Alice, two children were born. First, there was a brave son named Titan, who inherited his father's physical strength and the ambition that burned within him, then the second child was born, a beautiful daughter named Lyodra, who inherited her mother's beauty and her father's intelligence.

They both loved their parents, and never suspected how their kingdom was founded. They lived in false happiness, on a foundation of tightly hidden betrayal.

However, fate had its own plans. The story of Haidar's betrayal of Serena, although buried in time, would be revealed and haunt the Kingdom of Atlas in the future. The seeds of destruction had been planted, and only time would tell whether the Kingdom of Atlas was able to survive the coming storm. Because, history built on lies, sooner or later, would collapse when swallowed by the truth.

The golden silk veil shimmered in the light of the lanterns. The scent of sandalwood incense and roses intoxicates the air. Today was the day of the long-awaited grand wedding. The Titan King of Atlas, mighty with broad shoulders and sharp gaze, would tie the knot with Queen Alzena of Mabel, graceful as the moon with a smile as soft as silk.

The grounds of Atlas's palace were filled with nobles, traders and commoners who wanted to witness the union of the two great kingdoms. The music was loud, the food was plentiful, and joy filled every corner. King Haidar, the Titan King's father, stood beside his son, his face radiating happiness and pride.

However, that happiness was shattered into pieces when a strong gust of wind extinguished the torches around him. Darkness enveloped them for a moment. Then, amidst the eerie silence, a black-robed figure appeared in front of the altar. Her hair flowed wildly, her eyes burning with fiery anger.

Serena.

King Haidar froze. His heart was beating fast. Serena… that name was like a ghost from her past. A dark and regretful past.

"Haidar," Serena hissed, her voice like a dagger piercing her ears. "You think you can be happy? After what you did to me?"

King Haidar tried to control himself. "Serena, go away! This is not your place,"

"Not my place?" Serena laughed sarcastically. "I should have been here, Haidar. I should have been Queen of Atlas! But you chose Alice, a woman without power, without greatness."

The Titan King stepped forward, protecting Queen Alzena behind him. "Serena, your business with my father has nothing to do with us. Go, before I call the guards."

Serena turned to the Titan King, her gaze filled with hatred. "Oh, Titan, the happy king. Believe me, your happiness will not last long. I swear, your child... this child from Queen Alzena's womb will feel the same heartache that I felt! He will be betrayed, thrown away, and forgotten!"

Horrified screams echoed among the guests. Queen Alzena paled. The Titan King hugged him tightly, trying to calm him down.

Then, Serena turned her gaze towards a young girl standing among the ladies-in-waiting, namely Lyodra, daughter of King Haidar and Queen Alice, King Titan's younger sister.

"And you, Lyodra..." Serena said with a terrible smile. "You, the daughter of a woman without magic. I swear, you will never find true love. You will never have children. You will live forever in silence, condemned to eternal loneliness!"

After saying her oath, Serena disappeared in a puff of black smoke. Fear and confusion filled the palace. The wedding atmosphere which was originally full of happiness turned into sadness and anxiety.

King Haidar felt guilty and afraid. He knew how strong Serena's magic was. He knew that his oath was not an empty threat.

Years passed. King Titan and Queen Alzena ruled Atlas wisely and justly. They live in fear of Serena's oath, but they didn't let that fear rule their lives. They tried their best to protect their descendants from the curse.

Meanwhile, Lyodra grew into a beautiful and intelligent woman. However, even though many men were attracted to her, she always felt that there was an invisible barrier between herself and happiness. Every time she started to feel love, something happened, ruining everything.

Serena's vows continued to haunt her.

The air felt thin, Lyodra stood still, feeling excruciating pain piercing her entire body. Her body began to shake violently, her skin turned pale, and her eyes radiated infinite sadness.

Titan quickly approached her, trying to hug his sister. However, his touch only made things worse. Lyodra screamed in pain, and a dark purple aura surrounded her.

The royal physicians tried hard to save her, but in vain. The curse was too strong. Lyodra's energy was drained, his soul slowly dimmed. In her older brother's lap, with tears rolling down her cheeks, Lyodra breathed her last breath.

Lyodra's death shook the Kingdom of Atlas to its roots. The Titan King, who had just married his love, must now bear the burden of infinite sorrow and guilt. Queen Alzena, who should have felt happiness, now witnessed destruction and deep sadness.

The black mist that enveloped the kingdom was a manifestation of sadness and despair. The people of Atlas mourned the loss of their beloved princess.

The Titan King vowed to find a way to remove the curse, so that no more members of his family would have to suffer a similar fate. He gathered the greatest scholars and wizards throughout the kingdom to study the history of the curse and find a way to break it.

Meanwhile, Queen Alzena tried to cheer up the Titan King and help restore hope to the Kingdom of Atlas. He pointed out that even though Lyodra was gone, her memory would always live in their hearts. He encouraged them to celebrate Lyodra's life, to remember the goodness and beauty she offered the world.

As time passed, day after day the deep sadness over Lyodra's death now haunted King Haidar and Queen Alice, immersed in unspeakable sorrow, following their beloved daughter into the afterlife a few days later. The once sparkling palace was now shrouded in dark mist.

However, sadness did not only reside within the palace walls, the terrible curse of the witch Serena was stalking the village of Airla, a small village on the border with the Kingdom of Atlas. A mysterious disease outbreak broke out, taking the lives of one villager after another. High fever, bloody coughs and crippling weakness were a scourge that haunted every corner of the village.

In the midst of despair, whispers began to be heard. The name Serena, a witch who was in the Kingdom of Atlas many years ago, began to be mentioned. Serena had a grudge against the Kingdom of Atlas, especially against King Haidar who married Queen Alice, because she felt betrayed. Serena cursed that it would bring disaster to the entire kingdom.

"Is this a curse of disaster for all of us who live in the Atlas Empire?" muttered an old woman, her face wrinkled and her body frail from illness.
